While I agree it is a Top 25 game for 2014, the blurb they wrote....ouch. The best that can be said about VT here is that we aren't a cream puff like Florida A&M or UAB.
Let's hope the good guys use it as motivation to come out hittin on all cylinders!

20. Virginia Tech at Ohio State, Sept. 6. For the first time under Urban Meyer, the Buckeyes will play a non-conference game against an opponent with a pulse. The Hokies have slipped in recent years, but at least they're tougher than Florida A&M and UAB.

Let anOSU think that... until they see this man on the other sideline.
Vt vs OSU is top 5 in my book.
I think they meant top 5 upset
Ditto! It's gonna happen!
Well then.
So if Miller IS out...
Does that make this matchup more or less intriguing?
Well, then both teams have QBs with a lot to prove.
I'd say more. QB and OL questions for both teams. No proven superstar on the field. Both teams out to prove something (that anOSU can win without Miller, VT can win a big nonconference game on the road).
apparently, to Brett McMurphy at ESPN, it doesn't matter, because tOSU's schedule is filled with a bunch of easy wins, including the VT game.
They were a 17 point favorite. Hard to argue that point.
W/out Braxton, maybe a 10 point favorite?
7 point favorite IMO.
I'm thinking that if he's not going to play, that's all the more reason for our D-line and linebackers to be tough. They will try real hard to pound that rock straight down our throats with muscle and brawn.
osu is loaded . with or without miller its gonna be a dogfight on sept 6th .
Bud may have to break out this quote again to Urban Meyer

'Y'all better be careful here that your kids aren't buying into the media hype, because you're getting ready to run into a buzzsaw.'
Frank Beamer called Sam Rogers a Buzzsaw...
Sam "Buzzsaw" Rogers .... yeah, that's got a nice ring to it! Any graphic artists out their to add a spinning saw blade into his "Hulk pose" pic, LOL?
As said in another thread: Paste that quote on each locker in the locker room so ALL of the Hokie football players see it. Comparing us to to just a small notch above UAB and FL A&M? WHAT! ESPN needs an enema!
Anybody know if their 4* backup is a scrambler or a pocket passer? I feel bad for Miller, but anOSU should take care of him.
Barrett is a dual-threat QB, top 150 recruit IIRC.
4 star, but missed his SR season to ACL.
Not as mobile as Brax, but may have a better arm.
Here's a nice little article about anOSU's non-Miller QBs. But yes, he's a mobile guy. We won't see any drastic changes in the Buckeye offense with him in the game.
Also have to remember he took 50/50 split in reps with their other QB in Spring. It is basically exactly like our QB situation, however you never know what will happen once they see Bud Foster's D on the field.
Only difference is, our qbs are upperclassmen with in-game experience. At the end of the day, I see them having more rookie mistakes from their qbs than ours.
You mean our 1 QB has game experience, Leal's game experience went as well as Kevin MacArthur's stomach after yobagoya.
Turkey leg for any reference of The League.
Urban Meyer is a great coach. OSU has recruited very well. The game is in Columbus. The Hokies have a bunch of new guys on D. The dude that laid that awful egg in the UCLA game is running neck and neck with Brewer for the starting QB job in Blacksburg.
IF Miller can't go in week 2, the task of beating the Buckeyes on the road is still a very a tall order.
Well, it's intriguing enough for me and my buddy to have just bought tickets to it.
