OT: PSU vs. UCF Game In Jeopardy via SI.com

Man- forget about lightning strikes (eh hem- Lee Corso)...

PSU and UCF game is in Jeopardy! due to a potential volcano eruption in Iceland. Official word is that Penn State is aware of the seismic activity.

Iceland has been experiencing increased earthquake activity this week, which has led officials to worry that a volcano named Brarbunga might erupt and disrupt travel to Europe.

I guess we would have an excuse for why they feel seismic activity in Blacksburg - see Miami game, 2012.

Connery: I'll take MAGMA for 600, Trebek!

Trebek: That's Mad Ma's Mr. Connery.

Connery: Ahhhh... just like your mother when I told her my wallet was a little light last night.

hahaha

That would be unfortunate. A family member of mine works for the UCF Chain Gang and they are paying for them to go on the trip too.

Agreed. I am from the Penn State territory, and I know a lot of people who schedule week long trips over to Ireland centered around the game. Not only would this be unfortunate for fans, but I am sure the players were looking forward to this game also.

OSU Fan: "Sit down!"

VT Fan: "I can't, I am not an alumni"

OSU Fan stands up.... "Oh, this is fun!"

My first thought was, "why are they playing a game in Iceland?! Does Reykjavik have a strong American college football scene?" Then I realized you said Ireland and now it makes a little more sense... Emphasis on "a little".

Of course it makes sense, when you think Penn State and UCF aren't the irish the first thing to come to mind? :)
Hopefully there is no volcano destroying Iceland though, it is quite the fun place to visit from what I have heard...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
ā€œI served in the United States Navy"

They just need to throw a virgin down that bad boy. Should do the trick.

What's the point in having them play in Ireland?? I'm sure that place will be rocking.....

The whole idea was similar to when ND played over there last year. Bring American Football to Europe for games, provide a great experience for the players, and expand the brand. ND made more sense in Ireland, but the country was friendly to the idea of hosting so they sent different teams over there. For Penn State, this is their bowl trip.
