Wow.....even with Braxton Miller out for the season, Ohio State thinks that beating VA Tech on September 6, 2014 will be a cake walk. This is what OSU Tight End Jeff Heuerman stated an interview posted on ESPN....
"[Expectations] haven't changed honestly," Heuerman said. "We've just got to compete for championships. The nice thing about it is we don't have any huge kicker games, so it will give us some time to get our feet wet before we jump into the Big Ten schedule.
Apparently this dude does not realize what a VA Tech defense does to teams!

What do you honestly expect him to say? "Man, we're screwed now. I don't know how we're going to get past Nvay let alone the Hokies." If it's going in the media, they have to exude confidence. That's what these kids are taught.
I would expect him to show confidence in his team, of course... but without writing off the Hokies matchup as not a big game. IMHO of the article, he portays that their conference teams are all harder to beat then VA Tech.
Other than a defense which lost some of its big name stars, should anyone outside the program really fear us at this moment without knowing all the details of our team? We had an elite defense last year and managed an 8-5 record. Had we put up at least 9 wins, then maybe he might have reason to mention us as a team they are looking out for, otherwise, someone with little knowledge of our team won't see us as a threat.
Let them not fear us. I've got no problem with that.
Like I said, the way the Big Ten divisions break up, and the lack of depth throughout the conference, OSU should be thankful to get to conference play.
Funny...the media I'm hearing keeps reminding us how weak the Big Ten schedule is, and that the non-conf is the only saving grace.
How our defense should feel right now.
I'm 100% ok with this. Its exactly the attitude I want them to have when we open the game with them and punch them right in the mouth
This just fits here:
Talk about bringing capoeira to a fist fight…I mean, man…
I'm glad he is not worrying, I want nobody from Ohio State to worry about us. My best friend is an OSU grad. Oh, victory will be so sweet.
Never heard of the dude before now, he's a nobody and can go kick rocks for all I care
He's definitely not a nobody. One of the best TE's in the country this year. He's a VERY dangerous weapon for the Buckeyes.
Someone's been paying attention to what French's been writing.
Haha that and I have followed all of Urban Meyer's teams. I think he's one of the offensive geniuses in this great game and I've modeled my own offensive playbook after his.
From what I heard about JT Barett, I'm really not too worried about him
I'm willing to bet you've never heard of most of OSU's players. Don't get sour because someone is trying to keep their team up after losing their star QB. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if people on other teams boards went around calling our players nobodies because they made a single, inoffensive comment.
Meh, I am not going to read anything into his comments. Honestly tOSU has nothing to prove as compared to us. They have a great program and they are routinely in the national championship discussion, where as we are in the ACCCG discussion.
Personally I believe we will surprise them (and quite a few others) when we walk out of there with the win but at this point we are the ones that need to prove something. Let them look toward their conference games and write us off, it will just make our job a little easier.
I mean, you could say anOSU does have something to prove. I remember watching that 2007 national championship game. They got it handed to them by Florida and that coach, what was his name again?
I generally refrain from the "respect" talk...but honestly this one I thought was over the line and didn't show much class, for us or any of their upcoming opponents.
Hey Bud.... read this.
Hopefully we do our talking on the field, bring on the bucknuts.
Heh, heh... you said "bucknuts".
Lol, I mean their mascot is a freakin nut for god sakes.
This is great because he has no idea what is coming.
Personally, I like swagger.
This kid is "Leonard Approved."
This whole topic is Leonard
Maybe change my username to Fetch?
I wonder if he'll enjoy meeting RVD?
I hope they keep talking...Overconfidence kills both in war and in football.
This reminds me of when Kellen Winslow Jr. during a postgame interview when we was still playing at Miami. I forgot who they lost to but he was all kinds of pissed off and compared losing that day to war. The best part is when Mark May basically told him on live TV to shut the hell up.
Remember when he struck the Heisman Pose when he scored a TD against Florida A&M? (I think it was them).
Postgame Tennessee in 2003.
VT will gain lots of respect after this prime time game . We are no piece of cake.
We are a piece of pie.
Mmm...cupcakes...
They are really going to miss that Guitton guy now
