2015 DE Houshun Gaines Poised to Decide?

He was supposed to visit Tech at the end of July, but never made the trip. It seems like he's down to Virginia Tech and Florida, but North Carolina would probably be in the mix if they offered.

Don't count out NC State either. I will feel good if he visits again before his decision, if he doesn't then it's anybody's guess.

With the rest of the class we're looking to bring in, a kid like this would flourish in this system. You can't teach size and you can't teach speed, and it appears this kid has both in spades. Get him Gentrified and he'll be an absolute beast of a football player. 4.7 speed at 6'4 with size coming off the edge at the snap. That's the kind of stuff you see in the NFL.

DT? I haven't seen Gaines projected to DT. 220lb out of H.S. is generally too light. Even our smaller DT's were 240-250lb coming out of H.S. (like Corey Marshall)

He also tweeted that he might change his number in college to 8.

He wears 11 now, a number that hopefully won't change hands till after 2016. All signs point to us right now.
