I actually noticed it the other day. However, I never buy from there. Fanatics.com is an awesome site and has plenty of Nike stuff.
Speaking of websites...what's up with Tech Bookstores site? It is absolutely awful. They have so much stuff in that store and their website has nothing.
Campus Emporium is kicking their ass.

The omission of our gear on their site (as well as an apparent complacency regarding us) should have been a point of discussion prior to our old AD eagerly signing a contract extension with them. With the way Under Armour is being aggressive in robbing the Nike cache, it would have been a good time to re-examine our relationship with Nike and just how far down their priority list they have slotted us. But, it seems the re-up was just a formality by a guy who had been coasting to the finish line of his contract for quite a while. I don't remember how long the extension was for, but it certainly killed all of our leverage for a few years with Nike.

I'm really not concerned what Nike thinks of VT or how they treat us. Lets win some football games. If VT makes some noise you better believe Nike will be among the first to jump on the bandwagon

The benefit for us to be higher on their scale is that it strengthens our brand nationally. That means we're more familiar to those recruits in Texas, Ohio, Florida, etc. and the more often we're mentioned in marketing, the more often we're mentioned in the media as well. I don't think we should kneel for Nike, or any other apparel company. I do understand it's important for our brand strength to build relationships with those guys, though. Yes winning on the field solves some challenges, but not all of them. You also have to build the brand with off-field decisions as well. They're not opposed, they work together. Neither should be ignored.

If anyone remembers Jeff Beyer, play caller backup QB 2007 - 2010 (he took a knee against Miami once), he works at Nike in Portland now. I've filed a formal grievance with him.

I would like to formally complain to you about the sincere lack of things worth buying that your company presently markets. This needs to be rectified post haste, or I shall boycot your company.

The main reason I asked the question was to see if Whit was working some new deal with UA or Adidas... I mean, when you type in Virginia... Virginia shows up, West Virginia shows up... but Virginia Tech doesn't...
Appears I won't have to buy a new mini-helmet this year without a pro combat or military appreciate uniform...

I read on one of the other message boards that the NovaHokie Club meeting Whit mentioned adding a 3rd color to Tech's Nike deal when it is up for renegotiation after 2016. FWIW he hinted at black or grey

Are you kidding me? I just went there this afternoon on the website and there ain't a damn thing Virginia Tech to be found. It's really upsetting me.
Man f-k Nike. Their sh*t whack anyway.
... interesting indeed. ... well, not so much interesting as it is insulting.

+1 for fanatics. That's pretty my go to site.
Have you been inside the University Bookstore? It's about as well organized as the website.
You didn't hear? We just signed a $1.3 billion contract with adidas, the largest such contract ever.
Wait, that might have been Manchester United...
close enough

Someone should ask Whit on twitter. He's pretty good about asking these type of questions.
We just renewed our contract with Nike (and it supposed to be cry lucrative), so not sure why they wouldn't be promoting us.

it is strange, but we aren't alone. I know Virginia and Utah State have a contract with Nike and they are not on there either.
