Yes, I stand corrected. He grew up with the guyS that did that. Back in high school they all bought a short school bus and converted it into a road trip bus and went cross country with it. Also, I think they bought one of those old troop transport trucks to go muddin in

It's tough to say. They did have a good recruiting year so a lot depends on how many of those guys, and younger guys that are R-FR and SO, step-up into a roll and perform well.
Honestly, they will probably be better than last year. They couldn't be much worse and just the influx of talent alone improves them.
UCLA - No way in hell.
Richmond - Should win.
Louisville - ???
@BYU - Not likely, but they did beat them last year.
Kent State - Should win.
Pitt - Probably their easiest confrence game, so maybe.
@Duke - No
UNC - Nope
@GT - Probably the best team they have a realistic chance of beating.
@FSU - HAHAHAHAHAHAHANOHAHAHAHAHA!
Miami - Who really cares? I hate them both, but probably not.
@VT - 10 + 1 = 11 Straight
That Richmond to Pitt stretch is key for them you'd think. 4 out of 5 at home and after that it gets pretty brutal. I'd say 3 wins is basement for them, with 6 being the ceiling.
Better question may be, what does it take for the Cop to stick around for another year. I'm thinking he would need six wins and a good bowl game showing.
PSA: I don't follow UVA all I know is what I read here and on other general football sites and hear on the radio. So no guarantees or returns accepted.

Yeah, I they they will be much better but its hard to find wins there.
Richmond, Kent State and Pitt are probably their best bets. I don't think Duke will be good this year, so I think uva beats them. And probably one more upset, maybe Miami at home or @ GT. Maybe @ BYU, but that's a tough road trip.
I'm guessing it will be a 5 win season that keeps London around.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Two (Richmond & Kent State). Outside of those two, their schedule is brutal. Even if their team improves from last year I can't see them winning more than 4 games tops against that schedule.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Either its Michael Rocco (former UVA QB) or Michael Strauss (former UVA QB that lost QB Battle to Rocco at UVA) starting for Richmond, so it would be pretty sweet to see them come in and give London's crew a thumping. When they're not playing VT or LU, I tend to pull for Richmond anyway. Coach Rocco came to LU my second year there, took a team that won 1 game the previous year, and had a winning record his first season. His teams won multiple conference championships, won a game against a mid-major, and kept a game against WV a lot closer than most would expect.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I thought about that, but I can't see BYU being better than 6-6 either...so it was a wash to me. Pitt was just a shot in the dark. Always an upset somewhere.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
This year's BYU-LOLUVA game is in Utah, btw. So, althought it would seem that your statement is still true, I would also state that the LOLUVA fan attendance for the game will be roughly equivalent to their spring game.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
What do they need to do to keep TimeCop: 6-6(7) (they're not likely to win a bowl game should they be lucky enough to get to one but I think just getting to the post season will lock up at least another year with Fondu)
I fully expect VT to be better this year than last but I have always replaced my sorrow for our losses with the joy of LOLUVA losses over the last few years and I don't expect that to change any time soon.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Yes, three wins sounds right. Either three wins, or the total and complete destruction of LOLUVA football will occur and they will max out at 1.
I think Kent State is a good bet, Richmond will be tough for them I think, and they'll probably stupidly surprise someone or have a game gift wrapped a la their game against PSU a few years back.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I'm gonna say 2 at most. One versus Timecop's Old school, and I want to say Kent State but then again look what Ball state did to them last year. down by 21, they came back to win by 24
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
London and his team will be consistent and win 2 games again. 1 against Kent State and Richmond. But they will keep some of the ACC games very close cause of their defense.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Richmond - should win, but UR has two former hooQBs (say this fast and it's actually fun!) who would love to stick it to their former team
Kent St - again should win, but Kent St. will be playing with a lot of emotion after the loss of Bitsko.
Pitt - probably shouldn't win, but may.
Duke - I think all the injuries catch up with the boys from Durham, and the hoos have the memory of being ahead at halftime last year before pulling a classic LOLUVA breakdown and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Now, keep in mind these are the games I see them being competitive in. Everything else, it's kind of like Skipper said about their game w/FSU above......HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
From what I've read they've the 2nd hardest SOS this year, doesn't bode well them for them. Realistcally, I can see them winning 3-4 games tops. Kent St, Richmond and probably Duke. I can't even see them beating GT or Pitt, to be honest.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I don't waste my time looking at any other schedules than my own teams. I certainly hope they lose every game but the only team I know they play is Tech on Black Friday
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
We will all know UVA's final win total by Nov. 1, because that will be their last winable game. They won't beat FSU (Nov. 8), Miami (Nov. 22), Virginia Tech (Nov. 28), and they won't go bowling.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
There's a decent chance the weather may not be perfect for that game, so Miami may decide to not bother trying as is their tradition. If they quit UVA may have a chance there.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
I'd say they defeat Richmond & Kent State. Then I think they'll upset somebody in conference, they just seem to do that frequently. Like the year they waxed Miami somehow. Something like that (the win, not the score) will likely happen. So I'll put them down for 3-9, and hope like heck they fall three games short of that.

Everyone keeps making predictions on when London will be fired but I don't want him to go anywhere. I'd rather they go 6-6, make a bowl game, and keep him around for another 3 or 4 years. He's just such a terrible coach that I love him being there.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
...but he's a pretty decent recruiter, I say get him out of there and strengthen our grip on the 757. Also, as much as I love 38-0 and decade of dominance, I'd like to see a little more competitiveness... If we're gonna beat em year in and year out, might as well help our strength of schedule too.

I had to endure a weekend dinner party with a couple loluva dudes this past Saturday night- they know I'm a crazed Hokie Football Fan. Let's just say that I hope they NEVER win another game in anything EVER AGAIN.

So, I think they win 4. I don't know against which teams, probably against teams they have no reason beating. Of course, that may just be wishful thinking because Coach Fondue WILL get fired after the season if he wins less than 4 games. He only MIGHT get fired at 4-5 games.

With all of that talent they have assembled, they could be very scary.

I have not looked at their schedule, but I don't feel like I'm really going out on a limb when I predict "0".
Is there a real number lower than 0?
Yes, their Spring Game attendance.
UVa + Spring Game + Attendance = **INVALID**
I keep plugging the equation into Excel and I am just not getting an answer... Something about "the parameters do not exist"
Let's be honest it's hard to have fans at your spring game when another team owns your home field...
Lane Stadium East
Actually it's Lane North (or Lame Stadium as some call it because the Hoos have it on lease from us), but ok. Welcome! You'll fit in very well here.
My buddy grew up with the guy that did that haha
No way! Well that makes you a hero in my book.
Seriously...whoever did that should never have to pay for a drink again.
Ever.
It was a group of 10 guys..I met one of them a couple months ago
Yes, I stand corrected. He grew up with the guyS that did that. Back in high school they all bought a short school bus and converted it into a road trip bus and went cross country with it. Also, I think they bought one of those old troop transport trucks to go muddin in
Were they Hokies, or hoos?
srsly?
Lolwut?

That's gotta be Hulk Hogan.

A 4-5 win season is ideal. Just enough to support the notion of "growth" for coach London but not enough to get to the post season.
Gave me an idea for a new shirt after we beat them this year.....

except it'll say these wins all go to 11
I sent that idea to them af ew weeks ago!!!!!!!
"This is Spinal Tap!
The numbers go to 11."
Because 11 is better than 10.
that is perfect.
I didn't know they had a varsity div 1 football team.
Also...does it make me a bad guy that I'm getting excited about the UVA/UCLA appetizer at noon?
LOLUVA just never gets old.
Two (Richmond & Kent State). Outside of those two, their schedule is brutal. Even if their team improves from last year I can't see them winning more than 4 games tops against that schedule.
I'm not even sure about the Spiders. I think that game is a tossup.
I give them 2 wins, no ACC wins.
Either its Michael Rocco (former UVA QB) or Michael Strauss (former UVA QB that lost QB Battle to Rocco at UVA) starting for Richmond, so it would be pretty sweet to see them come in and give London's crew a thumping. Yup, Richmond does not get the respect it deserves.
He's a better coach than London too.
Mike London is the former head coach at Richmond.
Who "won" a National title... with Dave Clawson's team.
Yeah, I know which drives the point home.
Outside Brown and Blanding their recruiting was....meh. I'll say 4 wins. Beat KSU, Richmond (by 6) Pitt and another lucky win over BYU.
I don't give them PITT.
BYU is at home Lane North this year, IIRC so, I think that works against UVA. BYU beats them this year.
I thought about that, but I can't see BYU being better than 6-6 either...so it was a wash to me. Pitt was just a shot in the dark. Always an upset somewhere.
6-6 BYU is better than 2-oblivion UVA.
BYU will have more fans at Scott than UVA. Advantage BYU.
well based on that logic LOLUVA will win exactly 0 games this year
This year's BYU-LOLUVA game is in Utah, btw. So, althought it would seem that your statement is still true, I would also state that the LOLUVA fan attendance for the game will be roughly equivalent to their spring game.
Yeah, but there's always a random tour that gets lost and wanders in, so it'll actually be a record attendance weekend for them!
The homer in me says 0
realistically I think they could win 4 or 5
my actual prediction: 3-9
What do they need to do to keep TimeCop: 6-6(7) (they're not likely to win a bowl game should they be lucky enough to get to one but I think just getting to the post season will lock up at least another year with Fondu)
I fully expect VT to be better this year than last but I have always replaced my sorrow for our losses with the joy of LOLUVA losses over the last few years and I don't expect that to change any time soon.
It's never about if their gonna lose. It's more about how.
LOLUVA win total over/under number of quarterbacks head ball cop decides to start this season
As many as they have time-outs
Careful now, Mike London has been hoarding those like Spam in a doomsday bunker.
I'm gonna say 2 at most. One versus Timecop's Old school, and I want to say Kent State but then again look what Ball state did to them last year. down by 21, they came back to win by 24
London and his team will be consistent and win 2 games again. 1 against Kent State and Richmond. But they will keep some of the ACC games very close cause of their defense.
You mean their 3rd down defense?
I think its a max of 4:
Richmond - should win, but UR has two former hooQBs (say this fast and it's actually fun!) who would love to stick it to their former team
Kent St - again should win, but Kent St. will be playing with a lot of emotion after the loss of Bitsko.
Pitt - probably shouldn't win, but may.

I'd guess 4. Richmond, Kent State, and two out of Pitt, Duke, GT, Louisville, and Miami.
Anything above 3 is:

We will all know UVA's final win total by Nov. 1, because that will be their last winable game. They won't beat FSU (Nov. 8), Miami (Nov. 22), Virginia Tech (Nov. 28), and they won't go bowling.
I agree with 2 of those 3...LOLUVA has been known to beat Miami when they really shouldn't...
couple that with the fact that Miami is almost as laughable as LOLUVA and it's a toss-up.
True...I think they might have beaten Miami 2 of the last 3. But last year they lost by like 20 points to Miami.
There's a decent chance the weather may not be perfect for that game, so Miami may decide to not bother trying as is their tradition. If they quit UVA may have a chance there.
They absolutely have a brutal schedule, if they win more then three I will be surprised.
Football Outsiders has their win probabilites as:
1-11: 2%
2-10: 17%
3-9: 31%
4-8: 28%
5-7: 15%
6-6: 6%
7-5: 1%
The Coastal isn't great but everyone else in the division is in better shape. LOLUVA
Hokie running backs > Wahoo wins.
Fact.
Things greater than Wahoo wins
1) Hokie RBs
2) Hokie QBs
3) Hokie ACC titles
4) Hokie INTs
5) Hokie mascots
6)
6 - Wahoo losses > Wahoo wins.
7 - ML timeouts
8 - YOU
6) 2014 Fuller one handed interceptions while wrestling off a burning monkey > UVA Wins
Vegas says 3.5 wins.
sad.
And I instantly took the under.
maybe two, tops.
They didn't hire a clock management coordinator so with the cop still in charge, 3 wins, 4 tops.
Everyone keeps making predictions on when London will be fired but I don't want him to go anywhere. I'd rather they go 6-6, make a bowl game, and keep him around for another 3 or 4 years. He's just such a terrible coach that I love him being there.

So, what? 38-3? I guess I could live with that.
Fine, but if that's the case then they have to give us back the TD that DW4 scored on when LT3 knocked the shit outta the safety, thus making it 45-3.
I had to endure a weekend dinner party with a couple loluva dudes this past Saturday night- they know I'm a crazed Hokie Football Fan. Let's just say that I hope they NEVER win another game in anything EVER AGAIN.
38-0 bro.
I'll just leave this here - Best guess is 4

but it's ok, it's not racist cause I'm half Asian
None. None football wins.
And counting...backwards.
So, I think they win 4. I don't know against which teams, probably against teams they have no reason beating. Of course, that may just be wishful thinking because Coach Fondue WILL get fired after the season if he wins less than 4 games. He only MIGHT get fired at 4-5 games.
I'm surprised so many are writing off Kent State as a W for the hoos. Phil Steele has Kent at a 124, and LOLUVa @ a 122.
LOLUVa. Could. Go. All. The. Way!
Higher total:

I know, I know, but it should be per 1,000, but seriously. UCLA could win that prop bet!
