...offensive line coach Stacy Searels has picked up on it, calling him "Sam Rockne" or "Knute Rogers."
"The joke is if Sam drops a ball in practice, which very rarely happens, he and Andrew Ford are going to be out in the parking lot like Invincible, with the car lights on, catching 100 balls for dropping a practice pass," Beamer said.

"Sam is as valuable on offense as anybody, honestly, just because of what he can do." running backs coach Shane Beamer said. "He knows the receiver position and he catches the ball extremely well. He runs great routes. Some of the most impressive catches weve had out here this preseason practice, a lot of them have been by Sam. ... Hes great in blocking. Hes really good in pass protection. You trust him to do anything."

This guy is seriously what Hokie football is all about. How can I be better? What more can I learn? How can I help my teammates? What an awesome kid.
Playing catch with Ford? That means Andrew is destined for greatness; every time Sam tosses the ball back to Ford, a little bit more magic rubs off on him.

Is it too early to start the discussion of Beamer's replacement's replacement? If not, I think Rogers is working his way into that conversation. It may be a bit early, but I'm tentatively and unofficially endorsing the Frank to Bud to Sam succession plan.

Not to mention that the pic of those guys trying to deny Rogers his pussy touchdown has become an icon of determination, that is fantastic. Especially since it was early his freshman year.

I was getting worried with the lack of Rogers talk around here. Thank you Andy for this.
I think the world is ready for a Sam Rogers touchdown.

Andrew: "Sam, it's getting dark. I'm gonna pop these headlights on so we can finish up catching these 100 balls."
Sam: "No, don't. I got this."
He'll be a Team Captain one day.
He already is a Captain.
I love CFB's 'Spies Like Us' reference. "Doctor...."
Shane Beamer & Sam Rogers take RB meeting very seriously.
Their methods are a little controversial though, and may eventually get prohibited by the NCAA.
Or given an award for sheer Awesome!
Hear. Hear.
Is it too soon to start a #SamRogers4Heisman, even knowing they never pick FB for that?
Also, it sounds like he'll make an awesome coach one day.
I've been on that campaign since last year.
Good! I'll make a sign and bring it to every game I get to this year! Maybe...
No, not maybe. Definitely.
Me too, hence my signature...
Why do people keep calling him Sam Rogers? Moorehead said his name was DRAGO.

Ford already looks like Seracin so Sam just needs to grow his hair out and BOOM!
He'll be a captain next year. Good on him.
I'm gonna start calling him KING ROGERS.
Question:
Is he on scholarship yet, and if no, why not?
I think I remember an article from Bitter around this time last year saying that he was put on scholarship.
you're right, he is. Good to know.

I'll second that!
