I was getting worried with the lack of Rogers talk around here. Thank you Andy for this.

...offensive line coach Stacy Searels has picked up on it, calling him "Sam Rockne" or "Knute Rogers."

"The joke is if Sam drops a ball in practice, which very rarely happens, he and Andrew Ford are going to be out in the parking lot like Invincible, with the car lights on, catching 100 balls for dropping a practice pass," Beamer said.

He'll be a Team Captain one day.

Shane Beamer & Sam Rogers take RB meeting very seriously.

Their methods are a little controversial though, and may eventually get prohibited by the NCAA.

This guy is seriously what Hokie football is all about. How can I be better? What more can I learn? How can I help my teammates? What an awesome kid.

Playing catch with Ford? That means Andrew is destined for greatness; every time Sam tosses the ball back to Ford, a little bit more magic rubs off on him.

Is it too early to start the discussion of Beamer's replacement's replacement? If not, I think Rogers is working his way into that conversation. It may be a bit early, but I'm tentatively and unofficially endorsing the Frank to Bud to Sam succession plan.

Not to mention that the pic of those guys trying to deny Rogers his pussy touchdown has become an icon of determination, that is fantastic. Especially since it was early his freshman year.
