Hmm, just realized I dont get the SEC network. Looks like Boise/Ole Miss to start for me. Now the only question is what bourbon should I pick up on the way home?

The SEC Network wasn't picked up by all networks nationwide. FiOS here in VA doesn't have SEC Network unless you have some of their upper tier packages.

Correct, Florida and Texas have SEC Network as part of the basic FiOS package, but you have to have an Ultimate or Extreme package in order to get it outside of those states. For instance, I have neither of those packages and don't get the channel unfortunately. But fortunately, I won't have to listen to PAWWWLLL

Nope, not just Alabama. I've got it here in Maryland. I was stunned when I got an email saying, "Hey, we're going to give you a new HD channel at no extra cost!" Thought it was fake at first...

Here in Virginia, I actually received a good old-fashioned snail mail letter from Comcast saying that I was getting the SEC Network without additional cost. I was pleasantly surprised since I used to get the Big Ten Network when it first was available, but it was moved to a higher tier sports package a couple of years ago. I am curious if the same thing will happen with the SEC Network on Comcast. I guess it depends on how profitable it is for Comcast to not move it to the upper tier sports package. I would assume that the SEC Network being tied to ESPN/ABC/Disney gives it more influence with carriers, unlike the Big Ten Network which has no major media ties.

I want to say that Comcast was one of the first to sign with the SEC Network and offered it as part of the basic package. Lucky you for having it. Unlucky you for having to deal with Alabama.

There was a game last Saturday. Sam Houston State @ E. Washington on a Red Field with Black End Zones. I saw the 4th Quarter with my favorite Happy Hour Beverage. Some high powered offense...or...maybe just lack of defense. Regardless, it was entertaining - both teams are preseason ranked FCS teams.

Sounds crazy, but I watched last Saturday's game and I'm watching tonight's game...
I'll pretty much be watching every single game that I can from this point on. ...when I say that I miss college football... I REALLY miss college football. #overlyattached

I like how you used "USCe". It's Less confusing. My thoughts are that South Carolina will be one of the better teams in the SEC and Texas A&M will be a middle to bottom team in the SEC. So South Carolina should win easily.

USCe has questions on D-line, but Dylan has shown that he can manage the game when Shaw went down, and Mike Davis is a beast.
However, Connor Shaw was a beast for them-arguably as important to USCe as Manziel was to A&M.
(NO losses to SEC teams at home when Shaw was starting!)

Agree with this sentiment. Between all the overhauls here, it's been going from one job to the next without much slow down. And even then there's still plenty to do.

Just thinking about tomorrow night's game...has there every been a team that is getting more hype that has never really accomplished anything than South Carolina? I mean people can say what they will about the Hokies, but we have division titles, conference titles, BCS appearances, and a Natty appearance, whereas South Carolina has never even been to a BCS bowl.
Not just this year either, the last few seasons it has felt this way (I believe they have had a few night games to open the season the last few)

They've gone 11-2 for three seasons in a row. They had a great recruiting class the last 2-3 years, and their schedule sets up nicely. Other than disliking Spurrier, I don't see how an objective appraisal of SoCarolina would differ much from what the experts are saying now.

I agree, and I'll say this about South Carolina. They sucked for a long time, and those people piled into that stadium week after week. I've always thought it would be great to have a home and home with them.

I would also like to add that USCe has been screwed by the SEC schedule recently. Recently they have ended up playing the powerhouses in the SEC West while Georgia ends up playing the garbage.

One might say it was an "endless summer"?
I bring good news!
College football starts TONIGHT! Granted, it's Georgia State University, but it's still FBS football!!
I'll wait til Sat. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer.
Don't forget Thursday night. it's A&M vs South Carolina.
Hmm, just realized I dont get the SEC network. Looks like Boise/Ole Miss to start for me. Now the only question is what bourbon should I pick up on the way home?
and pick it right up Saturday morning at 8:30am with UCF-PSU
Well, I'll be en route to Blacksburg about that time so I think I'll hold off for a little bit ;)
The SEC Network should be with the ESPN channels, if you get those.
The SEC Network wasn't picked up by all networks nationwide. FiOS here in VA doesn't have SEC Network unless you have some of their upper tier packages.
Might be able to watch it on Watch ESPN...might
Shentel has SEC, so I have access.
Channel 75 on my FiOS has it. I think only the states of Texas and Florida have 575 right now.

For some reason Comcast gave me the SEC network without even asking...
Although maybe it's because I live in Alabama.

It's been a long summer, but there's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last.
It really can't be any worse
Yes, last year was plagued by the feeling that it's all a lot of oysters, but no pearls.
Well it's one more day up in Lane Stadium
And it's one more night in TOTS downtown
It's been so long since I've seen the Hokies
think I should.

There's also one tonight; Abilene Christian vs Georgia State

That moment when you realized you are actually excited to watch Abilene Christian and Georgia State play football...
Skipper you're on fire since you've made your return
Any thoughts on the first big game of the season tomorrow night? USCe vs. A&M
Tough place to start life after Johnny for a&m. Mike Davis should have a field day against a&m's defense.
I like how you used "USCe". It's Less confusing. My thoughts are that South Carolina will be one of the better teams in the SEC and Texas A&M will be a middle to bottom team in the SEC. So South Carolina should win easily.
Much better than SCAR. Gamecocks REALLY dislike SCAR.
long live the king

Amazingly for me anyway, this off season has seem to have flown by. This last week has been the slowest though.
Speak for yourself. This offseason has been just as long and brutal as every other one I can remember.
Very very true.
Between going out of town every 2 or 3 weeks for work, raising kids, and just dealing with day to day shit...it's been fast for me.
My husband deployed the day of the National Championship game. This year has dragged on.
God bless and thanks!

Season tickets were emailed today. It's almost time.

Answer: The Ole Ball Coach.
I kinda like Spurrier, he's quite the character...

I'll go ahead and dust off an old classic...
Who has it now?
Sam Rogers, if you know what's good for you.
According to the Roanoke Times, it belongs to Detrick Bonner:

Is anyone else loling at mike London's brief "I'm gonna get fired" look at the bottom of the page
I ain't lolling. I'm ROFLMAO
Tapp never returned it, did he?
I think they do a new one every once in a while. Tapp prob still has one, and it was replaced the next fall.
Supposedly they have a huge stockpile of them and continue to receive them. So they do rotate every so often
Tomorrow?!? Don't forget about Abilene Christian vs. Georgia State tonight!
