Top 2015 and 2016 Recruits Visited for the W&M Game

2015 Hopewell 4-star DE Darrell Taylor was in Blacksburg and enjoyed his visit.

2015 Hylton (Woodbridge, VA) 4-star OT Matthew Burrell made the trip even though he released a top-15 back in June that didn't include the Hokies.

Matthew is wearing the bucket hat in the back, to the left of him is 2015 DT Tim Settle.

Burrell even signed an autograph on a fan's head, which seemed to leave an impression on both him and the young Hokie.

Accompanying Settle on the trip was his Stonewall Jackson teammate and 2016 DB Reggie Floyd.

Here are Settle and Floyd with their former teammate and 2014 signee Greg Stroman.

2015 Hokies DE commitment Trevon Hill was also in Blacksburg.

I'm sure it didn't hurt to have him in the ears of the uncommitted prospects onhand.

I live for posts like this.
Almost too much like to take all in one reading session.
Edit: and the forehead signed fan could be looking at a future game ball

Sounds great, I love what Trevon Hill is doing to help recruiting. Looking forward to seeing him play for Hokies!

I love that pick with strotman and settle and Floyd... Burrell looks like he wants to be a part of that in the backgroudn

Taylor, looking desperately throws it deep..HAS A MAN OPEN DANNY COALE WITH A CATCH ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FIVE!!!!....hes still open

I upvoted you on the sentiment, but pretty sure that ain't the same guy.

Trevon Hill's tweet gives me goosebumps. I say this every time I see that sign on 81. I can't wait to get back to Blacksburg and be home again.

Exactly! I thought the same thing when I saw it on Friday.

Live for 32. Ut Prosim. Let's Go, Hokies.

Great roundup, Joe. Need to bring some of these kids home, like Trevon.

Row Z forever.

Joe besides Settle, any other recruits Tech is interested in going to be at OSU for the game? An upset there could really help with these kids.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

I believe that both Josh Sweat and Kevin Toliver are making official visits to Ohio State this weekend.

Sounds like a decent number of VT fans heading to the game this weekend, which will certainly keep the orange and maroon in their sights, even on an official to anOSU.

Burrell and Cager too

From my brief research into deep Twitter emoji meanings, I believe this tweet means we made a good impression:

"Exit light..."

Good Lord. This thread actually got better while I was gone.

I'm comin' to join you Elizabeth!

Fred J. Sanford will always earn a leg from me

I've always thought Settle was the one guy we could make up ground with. Burrell seems to enjoy his time here but never includes us in his top tier. Visit glow.

Any news on the #choppingwood post visits?
CHOPPING WOOD

FOSTERS: Australian for defense

I may have had a few beers, but I swear to God, one of these days we are going to put together a class just full of guys like Settle, Tolliver, Sweat, Hill, and 10 or so other 4-5 star HS school national stars that think, like we do, that VT just needs that one "7th wave" type class to add to the consistently super solid base that we have ALWAYS had in place, that can push us to the top.
And beating the Buckeyes is the GD catalyst. I love scheduling these types of games.
The opportunity is right there for the taking.

I don't want us going in there to make a good showing.
We need to go in there and kick some ass.

If we get a couple big guys commit, the rest will follow.
