I was expecting a conspiracy theory around how we have beaten them 10 times in a row.

No idea what they are talking about.

I love the number of comments to the effect of "Remember, top players want to play top teams."

Implying that the scheduling had something to do with players like Brown and Blanding choosing UVA. They are forgetting the most important part though, you have to be able to stay on the same field as those teams, which UVA does not

I thought the top players wanted to play for the top teams.

For the Hoos, prepositions must be optional.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

So...they suck at math (have to rotate 6 teams into one yearly slot).

And...they haven't figured out that the BCS is no more?

yea I think they need to figure out how the postseason actually works before they start throwing out conspiracies.

From a UVA fan on facebook after the UCLA game yesterday: "And now my hope begins to rise that UVa actually has [a] decent season."
UVA, where losses get your hopes up. Wow... #NewHoos

Well, if we're being honest, the disposition was pretty sunny around here even after we lost to Bama. Now, that said, two things:

1. Bama last year was way better than UCLA this year
2. Having a legit shot to pull the upset and doing just enough to lose the game? #TotalHooMove

"Exit light..."

Yep not really apples to apples. To add on to your point, not only was Bama last year leagues above (remember Bama was one crazy missed FG returned for a TD away from being back in another MNC game) UCLA this year, but we faced Bama in the heart of SEC country where LOLUVA played host to UCLA who had to travel completely across the country at noon EST.

In a weird way, I like that the Hoos are building a bit of confidence. It will be all the sweeter when the balloon pops in the most unfortunate way.

"Exit light..."

Like a loss to UR?

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Exactly what I was going for.

"Exit light..."

Ok, so I have a theoretical question: If LOLUVA has two starting QB's, and UR has two former LOLUVA starting QB's, when they meet to have a football game, will anyone care?....oh, wait....nevermind.

All I know is the Rocco Family probably wants to get back at Mike London.

Mike London might need to burn a timeout to figure that one out.

Listening to the hoo's Richmond show is pretty fun tonight. Also, Lambert is still their QB as far as the UVA Athletics Foundation is concerned.

The hosts and their guests are speculating Lambert had some sort of an upper body or arm injury going into the UCLA game, thus leading to his performance.

I liked the statement on the show when a caller said, "You know, besides those 3 plays that led to defensive touchdowns, I think we showed everyone that we are pretty deep at QB and Reciever." Needless to say, a snot bubble of laughter appeared.

Pretty deep mean quantity, not quality.
Kind of like Zimas.

You'd swear they won the game, from their upbeat tone last night. Then again, when you've had as few wins as they have the last decade, I guess you need to find every positive you can get.

They ask questions like that because they want to play games against winnable teams (so they have a chance to win). Whereas if you asked most Hokie fans about our schedule, we'd say we're mad about not getting to play Clemson and FSU, not pumped because we got an easy draw, so to speak.

"This is just spectacular... These people are losing their mind. This is beautiful." -Mike Patrick

Absolutely. I have no problem with playing BC, but for the next two years I'd trade Wake for Clemson, FSU, or Louisville in a heartbeat.

The Sabre is indicative LOLUVA's football program; confusing & unnecessary.

I like how they're insinuating its a bad thing to have the top program in one division not constantly playing the top teams in the other. Its called scheduling for success, something the ACC is finally learning how to do after watching the SEC pull it off for a decade.

No, VT shouldn't ever play FSU and Clemson in the same season. You don't want 3 guaranteed losses split up between those teams in the same season. It significantly decreases the odds that you send a team to the playoffs, and it all but eliminates the chances you ever send 2. You need your strong teams appearing as strong as possible going into the postseason, so you give your best teams the easier rides. Its why you never see VT playing FSU and Clemson in the same year, and its why you see the cellar dwellers, like UVa, constantly offered up as a sacrificial lamb annually.

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Quick, someone clue them in that they make money of the rest of the ACC's success with the bowl split, despite how they represent the conference...
