With Cline out, Bucky " the giant " Hodges and Malleck will have more game experience on the big stage until Cline is back healthy to create the 3-headed monster.

Agreed. I'm going to look at this as an opportunity for Cline to get healthy, get stronger, get hungry, and be seriously motivated to bring us a championship in 2015. *
Meanwhile, Redman has the tools to be effective. Just needs to put it together, and that will come with the snaps he's getting.
* or, you know, a second one if it comes to that. I won't complain.

Redman needs to work on his goal line blocking, which I have faith that he has this week. He failed to get across the face of the defender last game on our push from the 1 yard line. OSU's talented ends will make him look silly in the same situation tomorrow.

Dangit! I was really hoping my semi-erotic dreams of a 3 TE set being debuted against OSU were a prediction. I feel like I have been friend zoned...
Wow, just wow
Did you really mean to say that out loud?
NTTAWWT, of course.
Fully Dipped...
Wasn't it a hamstring issue before? Now I'm seeing knee.
I hope it isn't related to the knee injury that he had last season.
It is the knee again. http://www.hokiesports.com/football/blog/20140904aaa.html
The longer he is out the more I wonder if he will end up redshirting. That would still leave Lefty with Hodges, Malleck, and Redman for the year.
Makes sense that he would.
Honestly, if an injury or late redshirt were to happen, we can afford it to happen at the TE position

I look at Redman as an extra O-line member and blocker just not as a passing threat. Which even in a two or three TE set isn't a bad thing.
