So I was thinking of a different bet, the after reaction.
So when we win, what will be the media response:
A) OSU was obviously overrated, as seen by near win over Navy and lose to VT.
B) VT is the real deal this season.
My bet is on A.

Depends on who does the post game show. I'm going to go with B based on what Mark May had to say about the Hokies and Brewer during half time of tonights games
I think if we win and show some flash on offense, we'll get a fair amount of credit. One, because offense is sexier to the media talking heads and two, because I think that there won't be any excuses made on the defensive side of the ball for anOSU. They are supposed to be loaded and if Shai, Brewer, Bucky, Ford and crew rip 'em up it will not go unnoticed.
I think the narrative will play out predictably. If we lose, then anOSU will be called an up and coming team that will challenge for a playoff spot. If we win, then we will be called better than expected but the real focal point of the discussion will be how the loss of Miller is the issue. I wouldn't hold our collective breath about getting dapped up if victory is in the cards.
If we lose and Mich and Mich St win, the narrative will be about how, deservedly the Big10 is competing with the SEC for the top conference and could earn 2 play off spots.
Win, and have Mich or Mich St lose as well and it will be about the partial resurgence of the ACC.
And if Miami would get close to back-back, then the ACC would be considered 'back.'
Notre Dame beating Mich doesn't apply because they are still deemed more independent than an ACC member.
This was all a good call. Now that ND, Oregon, VT, Central Mich, and North Illinois all won against Big Ten opponents, the narrative appears to be 'A bad day for the Big Ten'
And the ACC won every game yesterday, but do you hear "Good day for the ACC"?
True! Andrea Adelson (spelling?) put that in the ACC blog post. ACC went 11-0 in nonconference games yesterday.
Granted, most of them were against teams the ACC SHOULD have beaten, but it's still great.
two guys from college game days pick vt to upset osu.
Yeah, Desmond and the Oregon duck.
They did give some mention about how young our team is and a watch out for the future.
Kirk said that this team feels like a Hokie team.
If you guessed B, so far, you'd be correct.
