I really hope that this is a different team. For some reason, I'm not convinced just yet. It seems that when we are underdogs, we overachieve and when we are the favorite, we underachieve. Now that we are back in the rankings, it's time to show the nation that we belong in them! Am I wrong?

This just proves that the Coaches Poll is a joke and needs to go. Most coaches probably did not even watch our game and may not even vote themselves and have a staffer send it in. That or they vote along conference lines to improve their own standing. When you beat a team on the road there is no excuse for putting the losing team ahead of the victor especially after only 2 games. Especially considering that it was OSU's first regular season loss under Coach Urban. I would love to hear anyone come up with a valid argument for this happening.

I would like to see the voting spread in the coaches' poll (high/low/etc.). Might reveal some voters voting reputation or W/L column, vice actual performance.

I really hope Beamer & co. do a good job of keeping the guys grounded and not reading their press clippings too much. Remember what happened the last time we were ranked? Yeah, we dropped the ball against Duke and BC. I think the coaches will do their part and keep the players' heads out of the clouds, but it's definitely something to be mindful of from here on out. Secret's out. We're the big boys again. Get ready for everyone's best shot.
