EDIT: Okay, this is not on the front page. But other threads have been, and this is still a duplicate as Joe made a post already. Just check the tracker, it's not hard!

Ugh, I know. There were three AP Poll threads. I'm half wanting to suggest that creating new topics becomes more limited, but that would be contrary to the spirit of the whole deal.

Maybe an addendum to the community guidelines. Sharing an interesting article on another site that others might not see? Great. Posting about a ranking that happens every week and everyone will see and will likely get a staff post? At that point I feel like you're just adding noise.

I got an idea from the 11W site - they seem to have two blocks of threads on their tracker. I don't know how they decide what goes where, but it got me thinking. Maybe we could have a top block under "Active Discussions" where the staff posts go, or anything that Joe feels worthy of bumping. That way, things like Brian's reports from press conferences, film reviews, etc. don't get buried under 15 posts of chatter. Then, a second block where anyone can still post anything, just other active discussions. That way, people can still post what they want, but more attention would be drawn to the more important stuff.

The fix is to delete the thread- although as Joe has stated many times he doesn't have the time or desire to be a moderator for the forums/threads.
