Honestly, the O-line played spectacularly. I'm hoping that their performance against arguably the best D-line we will see this season (if not the best D-line in the country) will translate to a great showing the remainder of the year.

Yeah he was flagged for holding on the edge. The ref had to throw the flag despite the fear for his life for the safety of the other player. The next time Sam got his hands on him, there may not have been anything left but a bit of scarlet cloth and some silver plastic.

Not convinced they look much different than last year yet. We ran on W&M largely because the backs broke a lot of tackles, and Brewer seems to be better at feeling pressure and moving in the pocket than LT3. I thought we were pretty good in pass block last year. I need to see some holes for the running game vs ECU and GT before I'm on board, though I think we will. Hard to judge from who we've played so far.

"Normally I would try to avoid it and slide, but we had to get something going in the fourth quarter, so I just rammed it in there and kind of got bent around and smacked around," Brewer said.
Does anyone else hear 70s porn music when they read that quote? No? Just me, huh.

No holding penalties call, no false starts and 2 sacks allowed against that line at Ohio State? I never would have believed it. Very impressive.
I thought we had a holding call, but it must not have been against the OL
I'm seeing 2 false starts by Virginia Tech in the second quarter, according to ESPN.com play-by-play. But those were the only 2 in the game it seems.

I believe these were both on a punt. Not sure how many of the starting OL work punt coverage.
EDIT: There were two, but one was nullified by the block in the back causing a replay of down.
Ahh makes sense. Good call Homebrew!
Sam Rogers had one, I believe. At least I think it was holding, I know he was flagged for something.
Unnecessary menacing.
Unsportsmanlike Domination
Excessive unpussifying of touchdowns
Undeniable. It is known.

I was worried we would have a repeat of the LSU game where Brewer would be running for his life. Hats off to the O-Line.
