Is he allowed to dance afterwards?

"Tajh Boyd over the middle . . . and it's caught for an interception! Michael Cole, lying flat on his back, ARE YOU KIDDING???"

FYI, this week has been an absolute dream come true. All the Hokie reading material i could ever want.... EVERY DAY.

Andy you are the man. Makes me want to go buy a pack of those Andie's mint chocolate things to coooool down from the hype. Stay the course Hokies. Hell to the yeah.

Looking forward to the update on Calvin Kline. Hope he's recovering well from the Sun Bowl injury. And very interested to hear about his life in the Corps. That's quite a bit for a young man to take on, and I wish him well.

Two questions:

1. On the injury front - how is Dadi's hand? Any update this week, or how he got banged up in the first place?

2. What is the college rule on excessive celebration? I didn't think Bucky's dance/shimmy was that bad (I kinda liked it). Now that he's run his sprints, are we allowed to talk about it.

How awesome would it have been if the whole team showed up at 6am to run with him?

I think we find out every Thursday. So tomorrowish

Would have been the exact opposite of awesome.

I loved the dance. But the rules are what they are. Beamer must have discipline to avoid penalties, even when the rules being broken are generally regarded as BS.

If the rest of the players showed up to run sprints with Bucky, then the punishment loses meaning, discipline is lost, and eventually we get penalties on the field that lose us games.

I think it would've been pretty awesome and an impressive sign of team unity. I agree that neither he (nor any of the other players) should do the dance every game, but I didn't mind and don't mind every once in awhile.

This is reality, not Hollywood though.

I was just thinking this. Still could have been cool

EDIT: Didn't the sideline get an excessive celebration, too, after the second TD? Or was it just Riley? If it was the whole bench, then everyone SHOULD HAVE shown up for the workout.

Honestly, I was going to crazy once Riley cleared the last offensive lineman to notice we even got a penalty. I didn't realize it until the kickoff and quite frankly, I don't think Beamer cared. The Bucky one was pretty obvious, you can't celebrate in college.

Rip his freaking head off!

Yes, but have played for coaches that hold the team accountable for the actions of each other. Depends on the character of the team. Having all the receivers show up would have shown unity and not diluted the penalty.

Would have been the exact opposite of awesome.

Agreed, we're going to need to tighten up the discipline on the penalties of all sorts. Especially the ones that are entirely preventable.

Coach: "Bucky that celebration penalty could have cost us the game! What do you have to say for yourself?"

Bucky:"#DBU"

Coach:"....dance on"
