Saw it on Reddit, thought folks would enjoy it here. Reminds me a lot of the aftermath of going 11-0 in '99. These are memories that'll last a lifetime and I'm happy for everyone who was there both in Bburg and Columbus. If it's been posted already my bad, I'll drink.

Emerged Goosebumps! #BEATECU
This is pretty cool. I'd like to see more during game videos. Self-shoutout, this was Champs after the pick-six, they were playing Enter Sandman, if you listen closely you can hear it a little at the end.
This is awesome!

Watching this video I'm only thinking one thing...I should've went to college! Only time I've seen mobs like that it was a bunch of angry Muslims.
Anyone can go to college, but it takes a special person to join the armed forces.
My hat is forever off to you, and all the other men and women that chose to protect our country.
Who in the world downvoted this?? and why!?
honestly, i think this a lot too.
yup....agreed. I really should've buckled down in high school...
ps...you get a leg for the KP quote...
Edit:
My friend, my Hokie brother. I totally appreciate our armed forces protectors (my father, brother and nephews were all in the armed forces), and I appreciate what you've been through. I have a retired ranger friend who is still messed up from what he saw over in the mid-east.
But honestly... "Bunch of angry Muslims..." Don't you think there's enough fear-mongering and stereotyping in this country about Muslims?
Come on. We don't need to be that guy. Your position as a Ranger means that people will listen to what you say. You have the power to create healing or further division. And if you (understandably) need to vent about the trauma that you've seen, then see a therapist or a member of the clergy, don't put it on the Hokie football boards.
Don't what, share with us his/her firsthand life stories? Who are you to talk to someone who was in the military about how they can and cannot describe the situations they've lived through?
I'm a counselor and someone who works to bring peace and reconciliation about this issue.
I'm not downvoting this as I respect you and your option to voice your opinion.
But I'm honestly struggling with this. I don't wish to complicate the beautiful space that the operators of TKP have created with politics, etc.
However, A significant portion of my family has served, including my father who was a Marine and was deployed in Vietnam while I was born on the base at Camp Lejeune.
I would assert that when you are under attack by a phalanx composed 100% of radical Muslims, it is accurate to describe them as 'angry Muslims.'
In no way are Mr. Ranger Hokie's words injurious or divisive. As a veteran having served our country, Mr. Ranger Hokie, IMHO has greatly earned the right to say about whatever he wants to say, and I would defend this just as he has defended my right, and yours to do so.
I would suggest that before you critique his words, you may trust their accuracy based upon his personal experience.
I'll not state anything further, or in later posts, but for one more exception to your response:
I vehemently disagree with 'Come on. We don't need to be that guy.' Quite to the contrary, I wish more of us WERE THAT GUY.
God bless you, Ranger Hokie and others like you.
I apologize for my response.
Are you struggling because you think I'm belittling his experiences? Or that I doubt that he has seen mobs of angry Muslims? I'm not and I don't...
Mr. Ranger HAS the right to say whatever he wants to say; that's protected by the constitution. And he has definitely earned my respect for fighting for that freedom.
I'm just cautioning him and you, and whomever else needs to hear it, that we are in a time and place in this country that is charged with anti-Muslim sentiment, and that lasting peace is only earned through forgiveness, reconciliation and inclusion.
You wouldn't find it socially acceptable if a St. Louis cop came on here and likened the scene to a "group of angry blacks," even if he's accurately portraying something that he's seen, would you? I just think it's a fair opportunity to respectfully and politely counsel our brothers and sisters to higher standards, so we can be the classiest fanbase around. That's all.
Hmmm, a large group of individuals who self-identify as "Muslim" and recognize that identity as THE singularly definitive characteristic of their shared culture and heritage... and these individuals are angry.
How is "angry Muslims" inappropriate?
It's like calling me an angry American.
to everyone involved in this discussion, I have traveled all over the world and have seen angry mobs of loads of ethnic people. Muslims, Mexicans, Australians, Greeks, Native Americans, Chinese, Japanese, Indians, etc. They were all angry about something. I can say that clearly because I am being factual, not offensive. There is no context to Rangerhokie's comment so you are either interpreting it to be or not to be offensive. That's an assumption you shouldn't make.
That being said, this is the type of stuff that doesn't need to be on TKP IMO. This is Hokie sports & life blog and should not be anything else. In future, just say "only time I've seen mobs like that it was a bunch of angry dissidents" or "angry locals". Race, politics, etc are hot button topics on any blog and conversation. No need to spark those particular fires on TKP.
to everyone that serves or have served you have my utmost thanks.
great video - thanks for sharing - I wonder what Billdozer could do with that footage - the sound track was interesting - for this '86 grad anyway.
Yeah....interesting.
Honestly there are not enough orange and maroon shirts in that crowd. It was gameday dammit! you put on your Hokie gear home or away! you grab your HokieHair wig before heading down to the mob! Did half of these kids watch the game or just hear that we won and decided to jump in with the cool people in the streets?
#FORREALDOE
I wasn't in this mob but at TOTS I'd say 80% of kids were wearing Hokie gear. The other 20 were either wearing O&M or looked as if they had changed before heading over.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing!
Man, what a night!
