Mission NOT Accomplished

All of of us have been schooled in Advanced Trap Game Theory, so I'm fairly confident that I don't have to explain to anybody here that we have a potential textbook trap game scenario coming up this week. I actually believe the remainder of the season could qualify for trap status. Well Hokies, in case you're kicked back, resting on your laurels, I have a list of reasons why all of you need to be jacked up and raring to go for the remainder of the schedule.

9/13 - East Carolina- Let's be honest here. We're all suffering from a case of severe PPE (Purple Pirate Exhaustion) Watching you guys play ECU over the past 10 years is like watching a replay your own root canal in slow motion on video. This is the week to put a hurting on these guys so bad, that ECU forces AD Whit into arbitration to get out of the contract.

9/20 - Georgia Tech - Paul Johnson STILL thinks he can outcoach Bud Foster. He's probably sitting in his office right now drawing Sharpie moustaches on all of our coaches' pictures in his advance copy of the game program. Personally, I think CPJ's seat is starting to get toasty. How does not having to prepare for his 1796 style offense ever again sound? Beat the Jackets at home on this day and kneecaps everywhere may soon be able to once again move outside of the shadows.

9/27 - Western Michigan - Any day where there is an opportunity to destroy anything with the word "Michigan" in it is a good day... Rejoice.

10/4 - North Carolina - Revenge game. Many will think the Hokies got the Tar Heels back with the win at Lane last year. No, no, my friends. No revenge is complete until you've gone back to their house, ate all of their food, kicked their dog, and slept in their beds with their wives.

10/16 - Pittsburgh - See above. I mean...really, really see above like a motherfucker. Also, because Thursday night.

10/23 - Also, also because Thursday Night. And because Lane Stadium. And because Miami.

11/1 - Boston College - Revenge Part I. For instructions on Revenge Part II see the UNC, Pitt games, and wait until 2015.

11/15 - Duke. Oh my Lord, if you guys can't get up for this one we need to get Gentry to check for pulses.

11/22 - Wake Forest - Because I'll be there. I also would have been in the Coliseum in ancient Rome eating popcorn and watching lions maul dudes. I expect this to be no different.

11/28 - UVa. No comment.

Questions? No? Good. Let's go.

kicked their dog, and slept in their beds with their wives.

I laughed, but...Wow. I bet their dogs have fleas and their wives are ugly, so....No.

I also would have been in the Coliseum in ancient Rome eating popcorn and watching lions maul dudes.

This explains a lot. Like your post overall though.

Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

Down vote for kicking the dogs, if you have said cats I would have been ok ;)

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Glaring at you for saying cats. If you had said ducks, it would have been okay.

Let's just leave animals out of this and say....kick their red headed step children who happen to go to UVA.

The proud "V" in Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University spelled out in chest paint.
North Endzone @ 03 Miami.

Now we're kicking people?! When will the violence end?!

How about we all just put a few holes in the wall so they don't get their security deposit back.

Agree on all counts but i will not wear a raincoat whilst in their bed, just to add insult to injury. Plus how pissed will they be when their child's first word is Ho-key?

ate all of their food, kicked their dog, and slept in their beds with their wives.

You forgot to add "spanked their children" but at any rate

Fortune Favors the Bold

I am super, super pumped up about the win over OSU.

That being said, I hope that the seeming overconfidence from some of our fans hasn't spread to the team. Braxton Miller being out doesn't make our win a fluke by any means, OSU is still a quality team, but that was ONE game and it means essentially nothing if we can't continue to play well.

The players are saying all the right things, focusing on ECU etc. etc. but this Hokie is still very nervous about this season.

You know, I can actually see him doing that. For whatever reason, I think about White Goodman whenever I think about CPJ.

We should look at every game as a challenge that needs to be answered to. We need to adopt the famous "chip on our shoulder" approach. ESPN has been disrespecting us for the last three or four years and now we're the darlings of not just them but other national media? Don't buy into it, fellas. Play every game for yourself and your team because if you slip up in just one game - hell, if you only beat ECU by 3 - those same pundits will go back to disrespecting you and your teammates. This is a winnable schedule. But they're not automatic wins. That's why you play the game. Now let's go kill some Pirates.

I've got high hopes for this season and it's got me a nervous wreck. I love this team regardless of what happens, but damn, I WANT THEM TO WIN EVERY GAME BECAUSE THEY ARE CAPABLE. I haven't felt this optimistic in a long time.

Such a fantastic feeling isn't it?? I have a feeling I will be on anxiety medication
before the season is over. LOL
