This sounds crazy, but I was thinking more of the SEC. Theres really no reason to add them to the ACC as there are already plenty of NC schools. But they would give the SEC a foothold in the state and its not like the SEC holds academics in high regard...They are a scrappy team and with the help of SEC on their helmets, they could probably up their recruiting significantly.......

Is it just me, or is do ECU fans and followers come off as a little arrogant? Everything I've read coming from them is pretty "in your face". I get pulling for your team, but they seem to have a major little man complex. I hope like hell we win because I think their heads would explode if they beat us.

Had the unfortunate luck to be in Charlotte for the ECU game in 2008. I'll just say this... 4/16 was not an off-limits subject for them before and especially after the game.

I'm a pretty level headed guy, but being an '04 graduate of CEE, and losing fellow students and former professor in the tragedy, I would have left there with teeth prints in my knuckles. Where I grew up, some stuff is shits and giggles, some stuff isn't PC, and some stuff will flat out get your ass kicked.

I honestly hope we destroy them. Mainly because we always play them close and I'm tired of that. They are a dangerous team that can hang with just about everyone if you let them. USE-e's defense is pretty suspect this year. Not sure if Carden will have as much success or time as he did against the gamecocks. Plus we beat them the last two years with very poor offenses. If our offense plays anywhere near it's capability I think they'll have a big day. I look for shai and Marshawn to have both have a good days and at least one of them getting 100yds on the day with at least one big run for a score. If I had it my way I'd throw in a punt return for a score by Stroman along with a pick six by anyone at #DBU (although I would like it to be Facyson to show that he's getting back to his pre-injury status. I think before he got hurt he was just as good as Fuller). No turnovers this game either.

ECU scheduling that aggressively leads me to believe they're trying to move into a higher level conference.
They are in the old Big East now. I really wonder if there is a backdoor agreement that if they do decently they can replace Wake Forest?
