While we are in the first throes of football, let's not forget that basketball season is only one month away!
Since I'm not an insider I can only assume after it cuts off it just prints the lyrics to Curtis Blow's "Basketball"
basically saying buzz will bring the program back to national prominence, and without landing all 4 and 5 star players, just not this year. Also some butthurt Marquette fan claims they will be on National TV 25 times this year, that is almost every game, that is incredible.
wait wait wait. We have been nationally prominent before?
Won the NIT and even been in the big a couple of times.

Even won a Big Dance game or two... Not 3.
5* players are one-and-dones almost exclusively and you usually don't need one to win a championship. Also there are more 4* to go around. But recruiting is just different in basketball. George Mason didn't have a bunch of studs in 2006 until they were made studs during their time their. With good coaching and guys who want to win you always have a chance.
We are a hungry fanbase in basketball. I live in the middle of NC, I am so ready to talk trash to some of these guys!
I would bet that by February you will be able to do so. Give us a chance to surprise a few in conference people after the first of the year. I don't know for certain if our W-L record will be great this first season, but I am certain that we'll be dangerous.
