I've got a few aggie friends and wandered over to txags.com to see their reaction to our game last weekend. Two quotes in particular caught my eye:
Bud Foster's D has taken a giant dump on the ole Horseshoe
3rd and long. Drop 8 and hope the qb misses or be Bud and bring pressure.
Bud Foster rubs one out to Pressure.
And just for fun, here's another couple from tidefans.com:
This VaTech QB is impressing the heck out of me right now. He has made some seriously clutch throws.
and saving the best for last:
Bud Foster is probably the best DC in the country bar none. He would be a fine replacement if Beamer retired.

Don't we all?
This may be the perfect place to bring this up:
I live in Charlottesville, and work in a place with some Hokie fans, and some Hoos, of course. Some other Hokies and I were talking about the win versus OSU, and of course one of the Hoos has to say "You wouldn't have won if Braxton Miller wasn't injured."
SMDH
I've gotten that from all my buds.
You already knew that was going to happen. I was in Columbus and was waiting for the first person to say it to/around me after the game and surprisingly it wasn't till about 1:30am at Eddie George's bar that I heard this excuse. Surprised it took that long for me to hear it, but most fans were in complete shock.
We may not have, however this is college football. A team always has to have the next guy up, players only get 4 years. But Ohio State recruits more 4 and 5 star players each year than VT will in 3. They are just mad they blew their chance against a completely overrated UCLA squad in what would have looked like a huge upset at the time.
Umm, Ohio State recruits more 5 star players each year and VT does in a decade. We've had 3 since 2004.
Not trying to argue with you, just making your point even more valid.
JT Barrett had more stars coming out of high school than UVA had fans at their spring game
JT Barrett was seeing more stars after sack #7 than UVA had fans at their spring game...
I guess I undersold it.
and if the PAC 12 refs hadn't shi* the bed we would have won the Sugar Bowl too. ah excuses excuses.. except one is 100% the truth... the other is a what if scenario.
the boo hoos should worry about the new flavor for zima not football teams that are over .500
I don't even talk football with LOLUVA fans any more. It's not worth the mental energy to rebut their stupidity.
Probably a good call not to bring it up since they don't have a football team anymore...
I had a LOLUVA fan say the exact same thing to me. My response, so what your saying is Braxton Miller would have had an answer for Bud's D? Although Urban Meyer didn't? What was it Meyer said, "It was the first time I have seen such a look in perhaps my ENTIRE coaching career.... they stacked the box with 9 men at the LOS". If Miller had an answer for Bud's D that Meyer didn't, then someone get Miller a coaching job, stat. ;-) #shutthathooup.
Guess we'll never know
If he comes back again next year we will.
Braxton Miller plays defense?
I maintain that we would have beaten BC, Duke and UMD last year if Kyle Fuller was healthy.
Such is football...
If Braxton was in there, he would have been broken in half because he's so small....
ESPN kept reminding us of this during the game.
I'm sorry I couldn't understand what the fuck he was saying over the #38-0bro and the #DecadeofDomination.
yaaaawhoooo i get to use this twice in a matter of minutes baahaha rubs one out!!!!
Is it sad I laughed equally as hard the second time around? Well played.
nope its friday!!!!!! and tomorrow the Hokies will show up to a SOLD OUT Lane Stadium to beat ECU
I listened to an Columbus sports radio show. The two hosts were discussing the game. Was very interesting to hear their "spin" on things:
1) Bud had 7 months to prep for OSU, since VT ONLY played W&M while OSU had to prepare for Navy and couldn't even consider what they were going to do vs VT, until the week of the game.
2) All OSU had to do was throw short passes and they would have marched down the field for a TD on every possession.
3) VT's scores were basically the result of Brewer's dumb luck.
EDIT: VT's scores were basically the result of Brewer being fully dipped in dork magic *
1) They'll have 7 months to prepare for next year
2) Since they chose not to throw short passes, they can opt to throw them next year
3) If it was dumb luck, it surely won't happen twice so they should have no worries next year
Yes, and if Pinocchio didn't have a wooden dip stick he could be a dad. What's your point?
I don't think you replied to the right comment, but your point is well taken.
I'm staying in Wheeling WV and working down past St Clairsville OH. I have a VT sticker on the back of my super red neck Ford truck. In the last few days I've been given all kinds of dirty looks and rude hand gestures in my rear view mirror at least 3 times. (That I've seen.) It helps to have a Virginia Tag on my truck so I don't look like a homer running around up here in Buckeye/Mountaineer land.
I hear that for a short time before that game there was some Mothman sightings around Columbus.
