i just dont understand why he hasnt seen the field and cant seem to find anything out from anywhere. hes not hurt anymore as far as i know. ive seen him dressed. dinardo has played well but i have to believe that RVD would play at a min. the same with alot more upside.

Dinardo hasn't been on the field much himself.
I'd like to see RVD at backer, not over Clarke (and I believe they are the same age), but he's probably better than the backups at the position. (Moss? Minor? I can't remember who we have there)
FWIW, Hokiesports.com updates every player's information after every game:

i just feel like having him on the field at the whip and not having to put fuller in jepordy of an injury and then having to start clark and riley at corner (no offense to those guys and assuming fascon is out) but i just feel like that is a role RVD could fill with his big phsyical fast body better than even fuller (although kyle did an outstanding job at it the last couple times i imagine bud would much rather have not had to do that with our best defensive player.
I've been wondering this myself.
I assumed that given the amount of practice and game time he's missed, he's just really rusty - mentally and/or physically. But that's just an assumption and I have nothing factual to base that on.
This week would be awesome to see him play the spy (or whatever we call it) that Kyle played against GiT last year.
