Florida State announced a little after 11:00 PM last night that Jameis will miss the entire Clemson game. Below is the complete release from Interim President Garnett S. Stokes and Athletic Director Stan Wilcox.
Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday's incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night.
CNN's Rachel Nichols reported Winston hadn't been "entirely truthful" with FSU.

Finally, some punishment for the criminal & stupid acts of this thug. Be SKRONG Jameis!
The rumor going around now is that he has been kicked off the team, find out soon enough I guess
Source?
As is the case with most rumors, there is no credible source.. which is why I mentioned it as a rumor
Well it came from somewhere
I'd be surprised if this were the case. This most recent incident demonstrates a significant bit of immaturity, as well as a lack of self-awareness, but I don't think it would rise to the 'straw that broke the camel's back' level.
A full game is probably more than would have been necessary for this incident, but the build-up of incidents makes me think that this is finally FSU reining him in. A game should be good enough to get that message across. All in all, I think this is appropriate
I would be surprised if he is gone for more than one game. I'm sure there will be the usual people who criticize this reluctant action by F$U using the 'we were all young once, and stupid' diversion. The issue is that Winston keeps building a negative resume of stupid actions. Winston - Heisman winner, QB of national championship team, assured of millions from the NFL. None of us ever risked any of those things when we were young & stupid. None of us were recognizable on TV and had millions in endorsements ensuring our financial stability for the rest of our lives just waiting for us to declare for the NFL. With greater rewards come greater responsibilities.
F$U has never been known for disciplining their payers adequately. This reaction to public outrage will play well with the F$U haters, and badly with the followers. The sad thing is that because F$U officials strung it out so long, Winston gets the certain message that they only disciplined him because they were forced to do so. That they really didn't want to do this. He can go pro after this season, The countdown clock is spinning already. The only real question is - will he be anything other than another JaMarcus Russell? A waste of NFL money and sports media attention? Or will he finally stop being 'young & stupid'?
That'll teach him to say dirty words. Maybe next they should wash his mouth out with soap.
Hopefully it'll teach him not to lie to the people in charge.
This, to me, is the big thing here. The reports today are that the events transpired as:
Winston: I did not do all of the things of which I am accused (location of incident, not shouting from on top of a table).
AD: I have witnesses that say otherwise.
Winston: OK, the witnesses are telling the truth.
This kind of crap disgusts me. This is ultimately a (relatively) small issue of stupid behavior, but lying about it until you are cornered is the behavior of an immature child. Be a man. Be truthful, even if you screwed up.
Can't say I'm surprised that FSU suspended him for the whole game considering what is going on in the NFL. His issues will be discussed constantly throughout the draft process.
I don't understand what he did. What details could he have left out? Twitter was pretty detailed.
The F$U admin knew exactly what he did from the first reports. Multiple eyewitness accounts of him standing on a table in the student union and yelling the phrase. Regardless of what he told them, they had that evidence from the beginning. To now claim that they changed the punishment because he mislead them is a complete lie by the F$U admin. They changed the punishment because of heavy pressure from big money boosters yesterday evening following the continued Roger Goodell fiasco. That is the reason, but F$U as a university is too unethical to be honest about it. They could have made the statement that they received a lot of feedback saying the punishment wasn't harsh enough, that they revisited the situation because they value their alum base, and modified it. Instead they lied about it.
Good idea Jameis lets lie !!! This is getting soo damn annoying, the Johnny Football stuff was funny because he was being a college kid and enjoying it. Jameis is being a foolish kid who has no remorse and no respect for the community and school at FSU.
.
Jameis' backup QB must have had a good practice this week.
Not sure exactly what he was thinking there. I agree with what Lee Corso said this morning - if you're suspended, you shouldn't be with the team or in the stadium. You lost your chance to be part of the team for tonight. The counterargument from Desmond about how the team needs him was junk. Of course the team needs him, and the team should feel the pain that he has caused them by being an idiot.
Agreed. Part of the fault was Jimbo's for not telling Jameis to stay off the sidelines completely. Of course, this was a superb example of how F$U enables Jameis & all the football players who get into trouble, and that enabling creates a total lack of remorse or responsibility by those players. Winston just did what any self-centered jerk would do - he made sure the cameras were on HIM before the game, and not on the rest of the team.
Jameis probably got more facetime being on the sideline than he would have gotten playing. The cameras were on him after just about every play.
But who the hell even let Jameis near the equipment? There was no reason for him to be suited up. Shouldn't there be someone supervising that? Why was his uniform even laid out?
And then he had that smile on his face at the end of the game....dude hasn't learned anything. The only way he would have learned was to either be banned from the stadium completely, or if the team had lost.
In his mind, if the team had lost, it would have meant he was more important than ever to their success, so they would continue to enable him just as much as they already have done. By being on the sideline, he can justify in his mind that his moral support was a key factor in the win. Guys like that just never get it.
FSU basically gave the entire world the middle finger today with the way in which they doled out that "punishment" to Winston.
It's extremely hard to believe that NOBODY in the pregame locker room noticed that Winston was in pads. As someone else above said - why was his uniform even laid out? We're supposed to believe that nobody noticed him until he was on the field? Talk about a lack of program discipline, wow!
