Hey guys...here's my candidate for a Brewer nickname...."TIMEX" He's accurate, has great timing, takes a licking and keeps on ticking....Whadddyathink?
When it takes this long and requires this many threads to give a player a nickname, it means they're not going to have a nickname. Nicknames aren't forced like this.

He is taking a licking and he has kept on ticking. . . so far. He's a (relatively) small dude with a bad back. If they dont start protecting him better we're gonna start calling him out for next week.

I don't know about a nickname for Brewer, but I think 'Hokie' would suffice.
But as an aside, what about not having posts that call out current and past players in a negative light? (I know that was not the OP's intent, but it's heading that way.)
It just makes us look like a bunch of jackasses.

Agreed. It is more than sad - it is pathetic when we've got threads insulting players. Sure, they can be criticized for a bad game. But if anyone who beat down Glannon over the years - just as many after he actually graduated and moved on beyond football - had to endure the same amount of crap talked about them, they might actually learn to grow up and let it go.
The same applies to Brewer. Don't go down the same pathetic loser trail of harassing him like was done with Glennon & Noel. Sure, it's okay to criticize and critique. Just stay away from the knee jerk mantra of how bad a Hokie player is while he's out there busting his tail for the team every day of the week.

You are right but now "Wrong Way" fits. Maybe the guys aren't where they are supposed to be, the o line sucks protecting him and everyone one is young but in the end he is not getting it. Too many direct throws and I mean direct throws to the other team.

id rather have a kid that by all accounts is a great kid and maybe isn't the greatest football player ever, than some knucklehead like J. winston. I'm not a win at all costs kind of guy...there are more important concepts in life......
