1. Turnovers are killing this team ...
2. So is the lack of a running game ...
3. So are the penalties. And this is one you can stick directly on the coaches.
4. This defense is prone to giving up big plays at bad times, and that overshadows a lot of the good it has done.
5. All is not lost, though, because the Coastal Division might be just as bad as everyone thinks it is.
Right on all accounts, Andy
For as bad as Hokies fans thought the East Carolina loss was last week, at least the Pirates didn't hang 70 on them like they did to North Carolina yesterday. Miami most definitely is not back, not after early-season losses to Louisville and Nebraska. I thought Pittsburgh might be the real deal, but then it lost to Iowa at home last week, the same Iowa that lost to Iowa State at home a week earlier. Georgia Tech and Virginia are better than they got credit for at the beginning of the year, but that probably just puts them in the scrum of teams in the middle. There's 4-0 Duke, which has not played any team worth a darn this year (Elon, Troy, Kansas, Tulane). The Blue Devils might very well be the best team in this underwhelming division, but I'd like to see them play someone of merit before declaring them the clear frontrunner.

I lay the blame for the substitutions at the feet of Aaron Moorehead. He is boots on the ground for Loeffler, and is responsible for getting the right personnel package off the bench and into the game.
I love chopping wood and all, but that dude needs to get his stuff together on the sideline. There SEEMS to be a lot of confusion during his sideline huddles.

Has anyone else ventured to read the comments on FB after Bitter posts one of these? Makes me glad to be on here because I read most of those and just shake my head. I have no idea how you tolerate it Andy, but hats off to you.

I made the mistake of reading the comments on the VT Athletics Facebook page when they posted about the GT loss. Never doing that again. But it made me appreciate TKP so much more. Here we have reasoned discussion and in-depth analysis instead of loud, obnoxious, ignorant people yelling all the time.

Maybe Loeffler needs to edit the formations chaos. Is it essential that we switch out 5 players every down?
Man.
Too early to "be looking forward to Basketball season"?
I keed.

Yeah, it's like all the former blog commenters migrated to the Facebook posts. They're all such whiners. I usually just pay it no mind.
