Toliver is ranked as a 5-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite and was teammates with Isaiah Ford at Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida.

Wonder if he wavers a bit.
I'm assuming that LSU is the #1 still...
If he ends up coming to Blacksburg (knock on wood) I'll be happier than a sloth playing a banjo

Banjo pickin' sloths always get a leg from me.
Something about that looks fake... I'm pretty sure that tree is not real.
Don't knock the wood, chop the wood
I'm not following your logic with this gif?
Its what crossed my mind when I read the whole #2 part...
"Who does #2 work for!"
ahh gotcha.. Like what does Brown do for you bahahah
God damn that scene is hilarious. In fact, all of the scenes are hilarious.
What ever happened to Mike Myers? He was funny.
The movie on the right happened.
He was checking out Liverpool this summer, that was the first I had seen him in forever.
Meeting of British super spies?
I immediatly thought of Scottish Soccer Hooligans Weekly, this was the only video I could find:
And so we have the proof that yes, there is a limit to how much hairdye you should use to cover up the grey.
How about a courtesy flush?
My God Boy! What Did You Eat?!?
Don't push too hard now. You don't want to blow out an O ring
So, did his Dad say we're a solid #2? Uh, that's not great. 2nd place is just the first place loser.
A solid 2 for 1 when we get Tolliver II and Dalton!!!!!1
Well he can't say we're #1 when he's committed already to LSU now can he? Me thinks big things might happen if certain players will pull the trigger and commit. Some might be Sweating the decision, but it's time to Settle down and pick.
I'm wondering what the need is for a #2 school when you are already committed somewhere. At the very least it's a positive sign. I'm also taking the "eye opener" as big positive. Guess we will see come February.
Coaches leave the first choice. Family moves. The wind blows.
A solid number 2 is important for any of these sorts of deal changing occurrences.
a solid number 2 is important daily in my book
WE of all fanbases should know how a solid #2 can be just as good as a firm #1 (no bathroom humor intended) on NSD.
He committed almost 2 years ago to LSU. A lot changes in 2 years. Maybe he thinks he committed too early but still has LSU as the frontrunner and it doen't make sense to officially reopen his recruiting.
Case study: Javon Harrison
I prefer to think of Isiah Ford
Right now, kyle fuller is the talk of the NFL regarding dbs. Even more than Richard Sherman (might stay thaf way too long but for now it feels true). Toliver has likely noticed and that can't hurt us
Yeah, Kam and Kyle having big games (and the announcers absolutely gushing over Kyle, Beamer, Foster and the rest of the Fullers) definitely doesn't suck for DB recruiting.
That's actually something to consider too. If Vincent didn't feel that VT prepared him for the NFL, then Kyle would have gone elsewhere, who if he didn't feel he was being prepared would have advised against Kendall coming here. That speaks volumes about Beamer and Foster. Not sure if Vince played for Grey, I think he was a Whammy product.
and add Kam Chancellor to that list.
im steady pushing on my boy victor alexander to sign with the hokies! also from trinity high and was in blacksburg last weekend. hes the younger brother of one of my good friends and ive played flag football with him quite a bit out here. great kid. undersized line backer but still growing. hopefully isaiah can persuade all the trinity christians to join the hokies! 904 in the houseeeee!!!!!!
We need some LB'ers. Even if we get DeBerry, he's looking like a DE. Same for Keihn last year. Edmunds is already 6'4" and may end up a TE like his dad.
Don't forget we also have Dozier and Lydon in this class although Dozier could end up as a DE.
Is it just me or is LB quickly becoming our new TE?
We the fans had a bunch to do with this. the game environment was electric. The. Entire. Game. VT Fans represented. Well Done, everyone.
Coach Grey has got to be excited at the thought of having another 5* DB to work with.
Apparently, Toliver's coming back to VT this weekend... Per his twitter. I dunno how to embed his tweet, but yeah.
Yeah, thanks! That's it.
Wow. Just wow.
Dancing, but keeping serious face until official LSU breakup.

Fullwood, Tolliver, Taylor, Dalton, Settle, Deberry....all trending towards VT.
Maybe Sweat is talking about his intentions?
good gravy... and you guys know that I think Hill, Reynolds, and Edmunds are going to be studs. Reavis could be really special at safety (I wish we had official word on what is going on with Holland Fisher). Tolliver is a corner... that is depth in the front seven! DING DING DING.
And Toliver's teammate, Victor Alexander who is a LB and currently a UCLA commit but visited VT over the weekend and some think he could flip to VT as well.
i dont think hes going to go to UCLA honestly it comes down to us and UF. close to home. huge UF fan, likes their D and a couple other trinity guys go there. i think he commited to UCLA early in the process. ford almost ended at UF. i heard rumors that ford wanted to play basketball but billy dononvan was having NO PART of football and basketball. now idk if we told him he would have a shot at playing basketball or not again that was just a rumor from a sourse close to ford here in jacksonville. but how awesome would he be in basketball too. im hoping we get vic to commit. i know he likes VT. hes made a couple visits up i tried to get him to ride up to the spring game with me for an unnofficial visit with him and his brother and isaiah fords cuz but they had prior engagements. Im going to keep pushing him though, nothing like recruiting a guy with out having to play by the NCAA rules. haha.
Mark Giannotto mentions that Beamer will allow Ford to play basketball in this piece
Anybody know how these multi-offers go? Does it take a scholarship from both teams or is it like buy one get one? I guess both teams are still limited as to how many can dress for a game.
He's on a football scholarship and walking on to the basketball team.
If a scholarship athlete is playing football, he counts as a football scholarship, per the NCAA.
Re: Fisher- RS or something else going on?
Fisher is almost 20. He doesn't need to bulk up. He just hasn't shown up on the depth chart, which is troubling.
They switched him from FS to Rover (I believe but could be the other way around) in camp so I'm guessing it is more him getting used to the position and Jarrett is firmly planted in that spot. I would expect to see more of Fisher in spring practice out there making plays.
He's redshirting. Not surprising, considering he needed to prep and the jump to college is hard for anyone. Once he's had a chance to adapt to college life (which some guys do better than others, even outside of football), he should be ready to start contributing next year. This isn't a talent or ability issue, it's a college-adjustment issue, nothing wrong here.
While I have ZERO inside information and am not suggesting this is the case for Fisher, I can't help but think that FSU would state Jameis Winston's issues are "college-adjustment" issues. In fact, I'd say those issues tend to be the kind that affect highly ranked players more often than purely talent issues.
FSU would say just about anything at this point to distract attention
There's a distinct difference between needing some time to get used to managing your time, getting work done, etc. while balancing athletics and making.... shall we say, questionable decisions? Yeah, I think that's about as diplomatically as I can put it. So far I haven't heard of any major discipline/character issues with Fisher (and definitely not anything as severe as with Winston), so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and just say he needs some time to adjust to college.
Both. Redshirting and something going on.
I haven't heard anything about him from my friend in a couple weeks so something may have changed. Last I heard there were rumors internal to the program that he was in the doghouse. The rumor is non-football related issues. He was seen at practice in sweats and was a non-participant.
Not too mention Gaines as well. I think that most of these recruits are starting to get a feel about where Sweat might be going. Also Trevon Hill and Deshawn McClease visited Sweat over the weekend.
Something tells me Gaines chooses whatever school Taylor doesn't.
I want be excited.
People on the LSU boards are starting to freak out a little. 247 insider says "He really likes VT. LSU is hard to turn down though. Keep an eye on this." Even if we don't get him, love that we can go down to SEC country and make a top 10 recruit seriously reconsider his commitment that HE MADE 2 YEARS AGO. Great stuff
Regardless, LSU will have plenty of good DBs
It will be his 3rd time seeing VT in 3 weeks! Going back to OSU game!!!!! Got to be a good sign???
I had to dig up my post from about 3 weeks ago:
"I may have had a few beers, but I swear to God, one of these days we are going to put together a class just full of guys like Settle, Tolliver, Sweat, Hill, and 10 or so other 4-5 star HS school national stars that think, like we do, that VT just needs that one "7th wave" type class to add to the consistently super solid base that we have ALWAYS had in place, that can push us to the top.
And beating the Buckeyes is the GD catalyst. I love scheduling these types of games.
The opportunity is right there for the taking.
I don't want us going in there to make a good showing.
We need to go in there and kick some ass."
I ussually go the andy bitter route on recruiting... it doesnt mean anything until they are actually here on campus. but im getting pretty amped up about the way things are looking for our hokies!! this is what we need to really get over the hump. (plus it helps me cope with the last 2 losses) but if we could stock pile some depth and play makers all over the field to add to what we have now watch out nation!!!!
Looking on 247 sports webpage and I see a great deal of experts crystal ball predictions changing for various players to the Hokies. Its a thing of beauty!
According to 247, Fullwood has decommited from Kentucky.
ohhhhh this makes me very happy!!!!
DAMMITALL, YOU PEOPLE NEED TO STOP THIS, YOU'RE GETTING ME TOO AMPED UP ABOUT RECRUITING
I told myself I wouldn't get wrapped up in it after the Hand mess last year. But nooooooooooooo, now we have the prospects of bringing in a defensive haul that would make even the likes of Alabama a little bit jealous. And its actually looking like it could be coming together.
Dammit - sucked me in again.
Having all of these defensive players talk about VT is great. We could put together one of the best defensive teams with only a handful of these guys because of our coaching. But what about the offense? It has been one of the weaker parts of the team for years. I sure hope we start to see some 4* offensive recruits here soon. Its tough to win when the offense doesn't score. We all know this too well.
I. Ford, Phillips, Shai, Marshawn, Kendrick Holland, etc. I agree we need to bring in some O talent too, but this year is a big D year given how many O recruits we took last year.
Yep, this is the defensive class, last year was the offensive class. We have a few holes to fill on offense (OT in particular), but most of the talent in this class will be on offensive side. Maybe as high as 15D/5O
If the only offensive recruits we picked up next year were solid O-linemen, I'd be a very happy camper. The cupboard is pretty full everywhere else.
^^^^THIS! A thousand times THIS! The Offensive recruiting should be focused on helping Searels out.
That's what I have been thinking, though they say defense wins games, offense just sells tickets. We have the one QB recruit and the skill positions seem stocked with talent currently. Really the OL is where recruiting needs to turn the biggest corner. I am hoping we land Sweat and it turns some heads. I think there is a perception that VT can compete with the big boys on the field, but not off of it.
You're going to see us load up on defense this year because of all the talent we brought in offensively last year combined with the fact we don't really have the spots to sign a huge class. That being said, we have already brought in a good 4* QB, the #1 Prep TE in the nation, a solid OL recruit, and we're in the mix for a couple other guys. I would expect 2016 to be a more evenly distributed recruiting class, which should remain constant going forward.
Who are the QB and TE?
2016 recruit Byrd is the WB (listed as a 3* in 247, but he's on that line)
Xavier Byrd is the TE
Mike Arnold is a OT
Tyrell Smith is a OG
But who is the QB?
Xavier Burke (TE), Chris Cunningham (TE)
The QB is for the 2016 class
We also have Tabyus Taylor who is listed as Ath and McClease at RB in this class. I do expect McClease to get a redshirt
Taylor will be lucky to make it, may end up being a Drew Harris
...so he's enrolling in 2017 too?
So he's going to get Jeffery Holland up here too right? I guess a man can dream.
