Well, typically with a 7:30 kickoff, there's a "plan". With it being moved 30 minutes, the "plan" can still be initiated at the same time, and allow for one more at the end. The "plan" allots for just the right amount of beers as to enjoy the game, and not be a puddle. Yes, the extra time would allow for additional imbibing, but they may cross the line into the danger zone, and I always love me some Miami in Blacksburg games, especially at night. Just trying to keep it from being Blackedoutsburg.

This got me thinking (scary, I know) earlier today aboout any other possible night games for us this season.
I was looking at the schedule of games on Black Friday, loluva game, and it seems as if we have the best shot for a night game out of all of the matchups. The west coast games already have late afternoon kickoffs and the only other I can see possibly taking a night game would be Nebraska-Iowa.
With that said, I'm sure we'll get another nooner.

I'm hoping the Duke game can turn out to be a night game somehow. My bro-in-law (the same one that has seen VT go 3-0 in Lane) is getting married that day, and the festivities are scheduled to be done by evening.
So, yeah, we need to start putting up some W's, and get a good Duke team again, where the game might be the Coastal deciding game.

The night game will be our game or the ECU game. Last year, UCF drew that night slot as they were chasing a BCS worthy season. ECU could be doing the same thing.

Exactly. I think this helps our cause. Unless ECU is fighting for the 4th playoff spot, I don't think their non-rivalry game will earn prime-time attention.

Sweet! Does anybody know if Sweat has rescheduled his visit? If he's there for the Miami game that would be huge considering Darius Fulwood decommited from Kentucky today and he was just here for the GT noon game...

The atmosphere will be insane for that game
My first game since 2012!! So excited!!! Taking a half day off work so I can be
at the tailgate at 1. :)

I fully expect the UVA game to be a night game

Wait, he is 3-0 in Lane? Get that man back to the stadium ASAP!
How open is he to increasing his attendance to just shy of 66,000? Maybe Whit can arrange something for halftime...
EDIT: Wait, the game is in Durham...nevermind.
A Fall wedding.... Will people ever learn?
I have 5 fall weddings this year...
My fiance and I IMMEDIATELY ruled out having our wedding between the months of August and January. In fact, this is how the proposal went:
Me: Will you marry me?
Her: Yes, but we are NOT getting married during football season.
Keeper.
Even a Miami grad appreciates this.
Fall weddings are the absolute worst. I am such a hardcore Hokie I got married the weekend of the Final Four.
Ha, some of us learned to get married during the off week! That way everyone's happy.
Some of us just got lucky and had the BYE week fall on their wedding weekend.
Some of us got married in the spring, so every year there is guaranteed NOT to be a football game.

BCS? what's that?

BYU runs the table, ECU doesn't get a glance from the playoff committee.
Weaver would have moved it to noon.
And Saturday.
And we'd definitely get Warded...Pam Warded.

She was one of the voices on Tiger Woods 2010, iirc. I had to play without sound or I would end up beating the controller into my face...
Woot! My first game back in Lane since 2011 Miami and before that 2009 Nebraska. Based on that should be a memorable one!
You need to go to more games. TKP Community: Let's all be sure Tim has tix to every Hokie game.
Sweet! Does anybody know if Sweat has rescheduled his visit? If he's there for the Miami game that would be huge considering Darius Fulwood decommited from Kentucky today and he was just here for the GT noon game...
I would seriously doubt he would/could come on a school night.
Edit: They also have a game the next day (Friday)...even though he's not likely playing.
Alright thanks. One would hope he could skip a Friday just like every other senior at Oscar Smith does at least once...
Recruits often attend visits on Thursday night games. It is not unheard of at all and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he came to that game.
Yes, more time to nap before we rally for kickoff!
I really hope the BC game is not a nooner, first game for us since 2010!!
