Let's Go!
Hokies!
Well let me be the first to say Go Hokies! The skies are clear and blue, a slight chill from the morning dew, fog rolling over the beautiful mountains, and VT fans packing the tail gate stuff headed to Blacksburg is honestly the best way to wake up! Get set myself to tailgate with my homebrew! I miss college football in Blacksburg...
Shai is gonna have a big day today! I can feel it.
Cheerleaders are pretty.
It just confuses me when they wear hair ribbons. It like that are trying to look like 13 year olds. Don't do that.
Their age is probably closer to 13, than it is to yours
I agree. Hair ribbons are pretty.
Yep. Getting old sucks.
For me, I just want to see the team play sound, hard-nosed football today. I don't care about big sexy plays and eye-popping individual efforts. Before the season we heard a lot about doing the little things and the big things will come. Well, now we are at a crossroads in the 2014 season and it's time for the team to settle in to that mentality. #1 on that list if I am the coach, protect the football. MW has put the ball on the turf twice in four games and Brewer is on pace for double Logan's TO's last year. Last week, If we avoid those turnovers we win by 7 at worst - that was one of the few times as a fan i thought we were easily the better team and still lost the game.
In my opinion, realistically, it's Coastal champs or bust for this group. In all phases of the game, we can be very, very good when we're playing well. Most teams in college football don't have that luxury so I hope we can find a way to capitalize on our potential.
GO HOKIES.
We need to run the ball all day. I mean just pound the ball. Fun fact, North Carolina is giving up 5.5 yards per play this year and is ranked 109th in total rushing defense. If Brewer has to do anything more than manage the game the next two weeks we are doing it wrong.
The run-heavy offense of the Broncos makes me think we'll be in man press coverage again for most of the day. Here's hoping Bud tweaked a few things in that regard. Also, who is starting in place of Big Lu? Nigel or Woody? Either way, here's a chance to make a big statement for increased playing time even after Lulu gets back from knee surgery.
I'd love to see one pissed off Hokies football team today. Just thoroughly angry from start to finish.
Going to have to listen to the game on the radio, I have tickets to FSU/NC State. I'm confident we can show people we're not a lame duck today.
I swear if we dont end the game with like 30-40 running plays i'm gonna flip a table
Senegal alumni club checking in! Rocking my 2006-era secondhand Branden Ore jersey found at a local market.
Who would sell this beautiful thing?

I don't know......but I would buy it!!!
Here's the helmet for today. I'm a fan.
As long as the VT stays on the helmet, I'll be happy.
I'm a fan of the metallic VT logo. It gives it a little extra something.
Today is a great day to rebound and regroup with a victory, Let's Go Hokies!
Can't wait to see Isaiah Ford and Willie Byrn tear through WMU's secondary.
This is Western Michigan's coach doing a thing they do before the 4th quarter called 'Row the Boat.'

People from Michigan are weird.
Beamer: "Settle down, son. Let me show you how it's done."

And their fan goes crazy.

If you row the boat in the woods and no one sees it.....
Why you gotta bring UVA into this?
Lol when you all see what the field looks like, this place is going to melt the hell down.
Everything is orange. Every logo and letter on the field. Each one.
As for the uniform....
Well, it is orange effect, and it's not a nationally televised game.. it'll be alright
I guarantee there will be complaints on here by noon on Monday
Looks like there are complaints on here before noon today.
Oh, I don't care about the color at all - I find it pretty cool that Whit is fully embracing the concepts of the Orange Effect in his first year.
I agree. I like the execution here - good helmet design, orange jersey + white pants rather than the Clemson look, and good field design. I am in the camp that prefers maroon uniforms (just a good look, IMHO), but orange is one of our colors so I like seeing it and I like the Effect games. If you're going to do it, do it well. Whit knows that and I like what I see.
Orange effect especially is very execution-dependent, and I'm glad Whit looks like he's embracing it without overdoing it.
Yep. One of the best executions I can remember was the 2012 GT game. Maroon Effect looks badass at night, but a well executed Orange Effect is cool, too.
How bout a Maroon effect.......ALL MAROOOOOOON....EVERYTHING!!!!!!
If we throw more than 3 Wr screens this entire game, I am going to be really mad. Pound that biscuit baby!
Be prepared to be mad. WR screens are an extension of the running game and a built-in check for most runs. If the safeties walk down so there are more than 7 in the box, look for a check to a screen from Brewer.
Pound that biscuit? Heh, that sounds like...nope, nope, nope, I won't say it.
Per Bitter Twitter - Facyson is out today - not dressing. Getting the feeling the medical redshirt will be used this year.
It's for the best. No sense in further aggravating his injury.
Ok is anyone else getting the message about technical difficulties from raycom?
The feed is very choppy for me here. It keeps freezing every few seconds, but just for a moment. Hopefully they get that worked out before game time.
Makes me feel better that I'm not alone, but seriously, the feed is pretty ridiculous right now. Fix this mess NOW!!!
I'm going to writing a very angry letter to Raycom if this continues...
If this keeps up you should embed a virus in that email. Can't even watch this shit.
Well at least I know its not my cable. I think I'm gonna use VTPhreaks feed. Already missed the td and the safety because of the issues
I have to miss this game because I had to go home to see visiting family. Looks I'll be hanging out with you guys for this game.
reese checking in here.
conditions are less than desirable here: game not being televised so I'm relegated to watching on the iPad mini...and ive got a stomach bug.
but, i digress...
Hoping to see some push from the offensive line, NO sacks on Brewer, and a big running day for our RBs
GO HOKIES
This CBS video feed is driving me NUTS! They better get this fixed or Ima go crazy!
I have it on but I muted it. It's annoying.
Good afternoon Hokie Nation/ TKP Community.
Watching it on CW in Myrtle Beach area, the feed keeps cutting out or freezing.
It's doing the same thing in Northern Virginia.
It's doing the same thing in Georgia.
Daggone Raycom.
Okay, folks, haven't been back on in a week (so I'd miss the 'meltdown' threads) and I just got in from mowing the lawn, what did I miss or need to catch up on?
*Reads French's game preview*
*Checks out TheFifthFuller's 'Foe'rensics*
*Is heartened by the Dickensian 'Great Expectations' article*
*Takes a shot of Wild Turkey's 'Rare Breed' to catch up, points finger at TV, and...*
Engage.
Well that didn't take long
Well Hello there Beamer Ball.
TOUCHDOWN! Not a bad start
Well, that's a hell of a way to open the game. Love it!
8 second score.
Yeah. I'll take it.
That was fast.
Would've been nice to see the TD. FUCK THIS FEED!!!
Can't watch on ESPN3? Any better there?
Missed extra point? Seriously?
THATS HOW YOU START THE HOMECOMING GAME!!
Minus missing as extra point.
Anyone else think PJ Fleck's jacket kinda makes him look like this?
#FIXTHEFEED2014!!!
Get your shit together ACC network
Feed on ESPN3 is also a little choppy it seems, and the sound has quit for me. Is the sound working for anyone else?
FWIW. It seems to be fine online, but there is a delay.
Edit: The ACC Network page. Not ESPN 3.
Edit #2: As soon as I posted the first edit it started messing up on there too. RRRRRRRRAAAAGE!!!!
2 point coversion by D is GOOOOOOOD!!!!
HAHAHA
8-0 after 1:30 of game time - what is this, an Oregon game?
"Except Oregon would've scored on a TD and 2pt conversion. Not a missed XP and safety." - gf from Eugene
South stands look more empty than usual.
Sadly, I am a contributor to that today. Just couldn't make it or get rid of my tickets.
That's the start we needed!
JUICE
Williams!Yes!
The stiff arm is unleashed.
This broadcast signal quality is awful.
Mine has already cut out about five times
Only 5? I'm coming to your house.
I'm in Orlando. The game might be over by the time you get here
Just as well, it's unwatchable right now. At least I'd get a mini-vacay out of it.
I'm trying to figure out what "technical difficulties" could possibly happen to the station on clear day like today.
must be some issue the stadium to be affecting 2 feeds
Those cheering Hokies...they'll get after yer broadcast equipment!
Someone forgets to check all the cables are screwed in tight.
FG is good!
Should have been an interference.
So on that 3rd down play, I was surprised either nobody was open, or Brewer went to the wrong receiver. Need to see a different angle.
But I wouldn't have expected on an all out blitz that was picked up well, we couldn't find a better option downfield.
Slye slowly starting to show more consistency.
I love Bucky of course, but what is up with him getting in the PUNTER's grill? that's silly.
On the 2nd down, a blitzer (looked like corner or safety) came free and Brewer had to release early. Good D call it looked like.
So who had 11-0 after 3 minutes?
Offsides on Clarke
False start on their left tackle
Tell you what... so far we are dominating, but WM has some good plays called. Just lacking in execution.
Agreed
Yep. Those two drops would've been big plays.
Sack by Chase Williams! Glad he's well after that concussion
I feel bad for the WMU coach. Why? Can someone explain this to me, please?
Stroman made a little something out of that WMU bounce
Well I've got the game muted and I'm listening to Bill Roth on the phone app, but they're a good 2 or 3 plays behind what being shown on tv. I'm so annoyed right now...
I bet if you were able to pick them up on terrestrial radio, they'd be 2 or 3 plays ahead with the way this game feed is breaking up...
I wonder what the delay is on that stream, compared to the radio?
Yeah I dont have any idea about that one?
Dadi with a huge spin move. thing of beauty
I think if they go for a rugby-style kick, the roughing rules should change: the punter turns into a runner, and you lose the possibility of a roughing the kicker penalty.
I hate those kicks.
Got the audio portion piped from my radio. Haven't done this in a while, but Roth and Burnop are much better on getting the calls right.
What about it not synching up to the game on TV?
Seems about a 3-5s delay
Nice pickup by I. Ford
Is Kevin Toliver in Lane again today?
Wow. Not many yards, but Shai lowered the boom.
Shucks. But better not to force anything there
Our offense needs to find their rhythm.
I know we haven't had many possessions.
Brewer is buying time in the face of blitzes but can't find anyone open? The coverage can't be that good.
Thats what I am thinking, at least he is not forcing the ball with an 11 point lead
Their coverage is supposed to be decent according to the scouting reports
http://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2014/september/26/getting-back-track-a...
No idea how we fail on simple plays like a designed QB draw on 2 & 18 with 4 receivers running routes.. Should have been an easy 8 yards minimum.
Either on the O-line, or Brewer picked the wrong hole.
And then the 3rd &18... Just great play by WMU's DB's. That is some seriously tight coverage against guys that have been getting consistently open against supposedly better talent.
Anyone know where I can watch the game online some where? It's blacked out in my area
What's your area?
If it blacked out in your area on ESPN3 then it should be on TV in your area
It's not on TV where I'm at I've checked. I'm out of town due to work...But thanks enjoy fellas
Found a working stream! http://www.theacc.com/#!/GameCenter/53b33c40e4b0cd54db7be02f
Please let me know if you find something. Phreak's stream is dead and I'm blacked out from espn3 in Philly.
Too much there, come on D
Great pass rush there
Not liking the offense so far
Solid wrap-up by Clarke
That WMU player - 59 - got the second biggest hit on his own QB on that 2nd down play.
Nice little return by Stroman, sooner or later he will take it to the house
Nice job by the blitzers forcing the quick throw, not let's muscle some rushing yards!
The feed on this game is killing me slowly. Better options?
Hardest Working Wang.
OH NO!
Wow. Right into double coverage
Wow, that's lovely...
God damn.
Awful throw. Looks like the shutout streak might be over unless the D can force a turnover...
Dumb idea by the booth guy to talk about how nice the scene looks when their picture is crap.
Ok. Minus 2 runs, once again our run game is being destroyed by a D that, on paper, we should be dominating.
There are some holes but the backs seem a little slow in getting to them.
FUCKING michael brewer. FUCKING michael brewer. FUCKING michael brewer.
This play is indefensible. Completely unnaccetable.
Jeez. That throw made it look like Brewer is seeing what we're seeing on TV... throws the ball, screen freeze, all of the sudden a defender is there picking the ball and returning. Frustrating.
Right to him. Not even close to a Hokie. Knowles was in the area.
Oh I thought it was just my crappy antenna TV. Apparently not. Shit is annoying.
The TV feed cut out right as Brewer threw that pick. And on the replay too.
just as well, it wasn't pretty
It was pretty much as ugly as you could imagine.
Brewer was being pressured, but he flat didn't see the second DB back in coverage. Ended up throwing it right to him.
#seanbrewer
I prefer Michael Glennon. Wait.....
Alright Lefty, let's run the hell outta the ball here
Brewer can't make throws like that with a two score lead. If nothing is clearly open under pressure, EAT IT.
it's too late in the year for these kinds of mistakes against this kind of opponent
I am getting really fucking tired of Brewer pissing our games away
the dumb picks have to stop. We might be able to survive against teams like western michigan, but we'll lose the big game every time because of picks like that if they continue
Next quaterback please!
How can lefty not see that brewers arm strength can't handle what he is asking him to do!
300 yards and 2 more interceptions and he'll have his second straight good game. Tongue and cheek!
Bubble screen.
Sigh.
Bucky with a spectacular catch
They just called him Bucky Rodgers. And again.
Incomplete. Not sure he had the ball all the way through.
That throw was about a second too late to Bucky.
What's going on with Loeffler's play calling? What happened to running the ball?
Sorry, but this is just not a good football team. The play calling and QB are weak
This is on Brewer... He has to play better than this
If the feed from 1995 wasn't bad enough. Who the hell approved 4:3 feed?
Anyway, I'm hoping Brewer starts shaking mistakes off as well as he does. It's seems like it's the same thing every time, under throwing the receiver and it getting picked off.
Lets establish the run
They're calling him "Bucky Rogers." Nice.
Scratch 1 Timeout for WMU
Conclusion: Michael brewer makes really bad decisions and off target throws when he is under pressure. He also has trouble seeing the field completely.
Unfortunately, all quarterbacks feel pressure many times a game and our linemen aren't getting shorter.
I just need to keep reminding myself this is a rebuilding year.
For you guys trying to find a good stream, I am watching it on tv and it's just as bad, I don't think it's your feed
Our o-line is looking pathetic.
Run blocking is just atrocious after the first 2 plays.
Our linemen are being dominated.
By WMU.
There's been 1 good run play when Marshawn got out. And that didn't look like a east-west zone block. It was literally power blocking. I don't think our O-line is cut out for east-west blocking.
I thought we had something special this year and I'm starting to think I was wrong. Rebuilding year or not, you don't mistakes like this. There are some serious problems with this team that run pretty deep. If we continue to be okay with saying "Meh, it's a rebuilding year" we won't ever be anything. Like I said, there are some serious problems here besides rebuilding being the excuse.
Couldn't agree more. I feel this way whenever I hear people say "But 2016! 2016 will be the year."
I'm not seeing the fundamentals, the foundation of an Oline, a coherent offensive strategy, etc that gives me any inkling that 9-10 isn't the best case scenario for years to come.
I'm not ever going to think that we might have something special until we start bringing in top 10 recruiting classes. You hit the nail on the head when you said "There are some serious problems with this team that run pretty deep." DEPTH at certain positions is a huge concern. Rebuilding isn't just an excuse, it's a reality. To be a truly special team, we need elite depth across the board, and to get that we need multiple elite recruiting classes.
I disagree that it starts and ends with recruiting. Definitely it helps, but I think it's much more on coaching than it is on players. There is just not enough consistency to prove that poor recruiting restricts success or that good recruiting guarantees it (see Florida 2013 season). We've played better against OSU than GT and ECU, recruiting can't explain that. The best offenses we've faced so far were WMU and ECU; they both have much lesser talent than we do.
I never said that it ends with recruiting, but I definitely believe it begins there. And until we get top recruiting classes I will not think that we have what it takes to go all the way. I agree with you that that good recruiting does not guarantee success. But I Completely disagree with your notion that poor recruiting restricts success. Has there been a MNC winner in the last decade that didn't have at least one top 10 recruiting class on their roster? It's one true necessity for ultimate success. Yes, there are other important factors that are involved in achieving the highest success, but top recruiting classes are a constant in a cfb world of variables. I guess my interpretation of "something special" might be different than yours maybe? I assumed it to mean more than a Coastal or ACC championship, or a BCS bowl victory for that matter, since we have already achieved those.
I cannot decide what makes me most frustrated about this game so far: the offense , the tv feed , or pj flecks attire
Yes.
Hahaha it's awful! "Golf Shirt over tie, I bet I'll look pimp"
Great pickup by I. Ford
Nice throw.
Geeze, is that pass really necessary?
Brewer's deep ball is not good.
Pass interference
We need points out of this drive
Did the commentator just make a really bad "jack" off joke???
Uhhh the commentators obviously started drinking a little early
Oh my god, these announcers.
"You said jockeying around, not Jacking around, right?"
"Yeah."
"Some guys do that, you know"
Coleman, no gain
JC Coleman.
Zero yards.
BUCKY TD! that was a beauty!
Wow my feed is really behind....
Coleman on 2nd and ten....
McLaughlin an Rogers did nothing to help from a blocking standpoint
Hopefully the confidence builder Brewer needs.
I think that would have been a TD even if the defender would have stayed on his feet
Oh my God this station is terrible. That's NOT Bucky.
It's sunny today, but there's no way he got that tan all of a sudden
Announcer: When you throw interceptions, you've got to have a short memory
I think: Michael Brewer must hold a guiness world record for worlds worst case of amnesia in the month of september.
Why don't you take a break from the boards or take the negativity to Gobbler Country.
Is he wrong? That's a lot of interceptions, and a lot of them were just terrible decisions.
If there were a better option, don't you think he would be on the field? He just threw a beautiful ball to Bucky. Calm down.
I am calm- but I'm just saying I'm not wrong in saying it's a lot of interceptions and bad decisions.
It's nothing new, he did it against OSU, people's prescription has just changed because of the losses.
I feel pretty calm too. Brewer has the capability to be a big time player for us. He just needs to let the game come to him a little bit. I feel like plays like it's the last play of the game. Cut your losses and let the defense work. We DO have a punter and he's there for a reason.
That ALMOST pick....is another ill-advised decision coupled with an inaccurate throw, DEEP in VT territory.
Will he learn? I don't know.
All summer and fall we heard about how close the QB competition was. Then we were told Brewer got the call because of his great decision making.
So, are you trying to say you believe the coaches when they say it was close, but don't believe them when they say he is a better decision maker than Leal?
I believed them then, I believe them now, and I can see that Brewer makes too many bad decisions.
Given Leal's limited history, Brewer still being a better decision-maker isn't really all that much of a stretch.
Lmao! So true...
Bucky scores because the defender fell down.
Happened to us last week. That's football. I'll take it all day if it means six.
Nice to see 18 points on the board after one quarter.
Also on the TD I think Bucky just flat out knocked that guy out on the route.
I think it was the shock wave of one of Buckys infamous growth spurts
I think the Giants could use the services of Bucky Hodges in a few years
Raycom learn to tv
I must have missed it but why is Wang at Zcenter? Farris hurt?
So that was a nice TD. It was going to Bucky the whole time, which I'm ok with. You have to target him.
Looked like the throwing motion started on Bucky's move to the outside. I don't know if Brewer saw the fall in time to take something off the pass. I hope so -- but otherwise it was going to be a 50/50 pass, with a pretty defensible ball.
But I'll take it. I'm over analyzing - a TD is a TD.
So what's the score? Espn says 18-7 with what would appear to be a 5 pt fg..... Good work espn.
Bucky Hodges threw Sam Rogers through the uprights from the 50. That, by rule, is a 5-pt FG.
Well played!
The Colossus/Wolverine 'Fastball Special' package is what Lefty calls it...
TD on a fumbled opening kickoff for VT- XP missed.
Safety on a punt snapped over the head for VT
FG for VT
TD for Western Michigan off a terrible Brewer pick.
TD for Bucky Hodges - XP made
18-7
Thanks
BRUUUUUUCE!
Damn TV station up here in Boston went away from the game due to technical difficulties and is showing some effing movie instead! Grrr...
DISH feed is NY station for western MA, barely hanging in there.
I am in western Mass and share your pain. No video and I am trying to listen to Bill Roth via Hokiesports.com, but my computer keeps buffering. This is maddening! I hope that there is some logical explanation for all of this--like massive solar flares! No one should be separating us from our Hokies!
Fitting that they honored him during a noon-thirty kickoff game.
Yea the Miami game might be past his bed time lol.
Chuck Clarke is a strong dude.
French was right about why Bud has been selling out on blitz past few games. Front 4 get little to no pressure on QB without help
I'd still prefer to mix things up a little bit, the law of averages catch up eventually if you go all out blitz most of the game
Especially being a corner in man coverage the whole game. That's gotta be exhausting.
I feel like we should be able to get pressure. Dadi and Ekanem are great.
That new indoor practice facility is gonna look perrrrrrrrrty.
One day, we will have a good OLine again...
one day..
a RB making a reception, haven't seen much of that this year so far
The complete lack of a run game is getting really frustrating
That was a good checkdown by Brewer.
And I can't help but wonder if he took that TO to keep an Illegal Substitution penalty from being called.
I'd like to think they got the Illegal Substitution problem worked out in practice
What's our offensive identity supposed to be again?
3 yards and a cloud of
Score more points than you currently have.
Penalties and Punting... I mean run to set up the pass
Wow... this offense looks more and more like a mess every week.
Does it seem like AJ Hughes is off this year? His punts are much shorter and have less hang time than I remember
He's definitely more inconsistent.
I am really hocked set the lack of energy this team is showing. Is the reflective of coaching? Yes it is.
GREAT SWAT
we are digressing every week. offensive line is SO bad. can someone explain why we can't get good o-line recruits?
Fuller and Jarrett both almost tried to pick that off, and it was nearly a completion.
Hell, I'm just happy that Foster had safety help on an obvious pass play.
The best CB/Safety combo in the Country.
I mean this OLine problem is absurd. Impossible to be competitive without a competent OLine. We can't run the ball on freakin Western Michigan. Western Michigan.
What happened to Farris?
Good job by McKenzie picking up the 1st
Damn.
Our RB might have housed that.
Our best run blocking is on passing plays.
Never mind I see they switched positions
KEEP GIVING MCKENZIE THE ROCK
Right now I'm worried about the BC and UNC games. Really worried.
Trying not to think about the UVA game.
Wooooooo! Positive running yards!
Hodges bruises his way forward for a 1st
GET JC COLEMAN OFF THE FIELD. HE IS THE FOURTH MOST TALENTED RUNNING BACK ON THE TEAM.
No trey edmunds yet today, still not ready?
Personally, I would give Caleb the carries before Coleman. But I'm not the coach
They keep using him on the Wild Turkey play... if that's the only time he's on offense I can deal with it.. plus it let's Shai catch his breath
Turns it into a tell though, but then again have hodges back there is probably more noticeable.
Once again, Coleman running ball = wasted play.
Beautiful run by Shai
That was some pretty run blocking there.
MOAR plz.
Running downhill...I like it!
nope, I don't like this music they pipe in at all
BREAKING NEWS:
Running the ball requires patience...gotta keep going to it!
Our offense looks awful, sick!
wow, can't believe JCC couldn't make someone miss there.
Is A.J. hurt? He's been rather underwhelming this whole season
He hasn't been able to hit anyone yet this year, his power meter is getting low.
HA! Just flashed across the screen, "Next Saturday at NOON, VT - UNC"
#ALLTHENOONGAMES!
I blame ECU for this one.
Our OL can't even manhandle a CB... Sigh
24 yard punt.....really...SMDH
Colman with carte blanche.
SACK! BY KYSHOEN
C'mon dude...make someone miss. JCC is Agent Zero.
I'm getting impatient with Coleman. I know I shouldn't be, but I am.
If you take away his season long of 13, he as 22 yds on 14 attempts this year. He has 3 catches for -1 yds. It's madness.
Dang. We have a long way to go on offense.
Please please please --- no man D on this 3rd & 18.
Decent rush that time with 4
Run, run, and then run some more. That's what I'd do here
Using one of our top two running backs, please.
Done. Just done with our Oline.
Brewer just got hit on a two step drop. Offensive line play is awful.
Thanks for that, Newsome
and then a sack
Or let's just try the 3-and-out two minute offense.
So... that playcalling was great.
This is an embarrassing show for recruits
I can't wait for French to tell me what's wrong the the OL right now. It's just so disgusting I can't even figure out who to blame.
At some point it's no longer about missed assignments and execution (though I'm sure that's part of it), it's about talent and athletic ability. And it appears this group has hit their ceiling.
Blame Cthulu?

Our defense is going to be real tired if the offense keeps playing how they are.
Keep rotating the RBs! It's working perfectly!
Making WMU defense look like they're Alabama.
Really uninspired offense!
Bonner!
nice pick, Bonner!
It seems like we decide to come out and pass it for a whole series ....3 and out then run it for a whole series
Too bad Bonner didn't make that catch last week.... Too soon?
first thing I thought of
SMDH.......Our offense is really bad! Got plenty of "playmakers" but as a unit, they are not collectively working together and is just not much fun to watch. The O Line is completely out of synch.
I won't be satisfied until I see Caleb get a series at tailback. Sarc
You're getting your wish. Better than Coleman though.
That would have been so beautiful.
we've still got a defense, so that's nice i guess
Alright let's make something out of this! I want the backups playing the 4th quarter!
JOEL CALEB! + a roughing the passer
missed opportunities.
?
Awful effort by Ford. Just terrible.
poor positioning
Looked like he just assumed it was over his head and incomplete.
Oh man. NO MORE TURNOVERS, BREWER. Receivers need to fight for the ball
Thats 10
That was just a prayer. Unanswered prayer.
...i can't even
Brewer is a terrible quarterback
That one is all on Ford. He has to make more of an effort to either catch that or break it up.
Comments like this piss me off so much more than any number of interceptions ever could.
Curse out a player, and you're gonna have a bad time
Gee dernit Brewer
OK.....enough is enough......Brewer needs a break......put anyone else in.....I don't care who it friggin is....just put someone else in!......These friggin interceptions are unacceptable.
Wow.
I'm all out of love.
1st and 10, you JUST DON'T THROW THAT PASS.
Come on defense, don't give up points here
An inaccurate throw in the face of pressure.....
So two INTs, all that's left is the fumble and Brewer should have hit his quota. The good news is that we have the lead.
The defense always picks a good time to melt down.
I'm selling on Loeffler's offense. Why the hell can we not throw quick passes? snap pass. snap pass. slants, quick outs (not screens). Loeffler is putting Brewing in a position to fail.
But at the same time, Maverick (Brewer) keeps writing checks his arm can't cash.
So.
Now we know why Foster keeps bringing pressure.
Because our front 4 can't.
We could have Vincent, Kyle, and Kendall out there and still not meet the FaINT count they way this is going. I think what is most upsetting about this season is sloppy play uncharacteristic of a VT team as we know it.
Man, this defense does not like drives at the end of the half.
This game is going to be close to the end. Simply unacceptable play and coaching.
Every fucking time this clown turns the ball over the opponent scores... He's single handedly losing us games
Bench Brewer
Dude. that last pick was on Ford. He HAS to make a play on the ball, not just stand there and watch it picked off.
First and ten in FG territory with a cb in position to make the play
Good qbs don't make that throw
Good WRs go up and make that play.
And bad QBs don't beat Ohio State at Ohio State. He had pretty much 1.5-years of inactivity due to injury. We knew the Brewer of November would be better than the Brewer of now.
The pick is on Loeffler, in my opinion.
Not sure we can pin it on any 1 person. Beamer says there was a guy running free, Ford doesn't fight for the ball, looked like Leoffler wanted him to throw it deep no matter what
Agree. Back foot throw by Brewer to a Freshman who slowed on the route and I think Frank said we had someone wide open. Brewer's height is hurting him IMO.
you must be watching a different game because Ford tried to reach out and tip the ball.
Yes, and he also slowed up and got out of position. Completely misjudged the play and the ball.
slowed up to find the ball, some on him but a lot is on brewer. had willie wide open on the dump down. bad decision at that time
Again, he doesn't slow up (as WRs are supposed to do) and it's likely a touchdown. Then we'd be singing a different tune.
The WR CANNOT slow down there. He just can't. Period. He has to be able to find the ball while he's running. End of story.
many times WR's think they out ran the ball or he's in position to get it. It happens, WR can over run passes too, he was trying to prevent that imo.
Agreed- but I refuse to blame Brewer on a ball the WR should have made a play on. And I certainly wouldn't start spouting profanities at him for it.
I hear ya and I'm not blaming it all on him fyi, but his problem is staying down his first target and rolling with it, if he dumps it down to Byrne, he still might be running
He all but stopped running, sure he stuck a hand up, but one more stride and the ball is in his hands
if you watch the replay, yes he slowed up, but to try and find the ball, then he continues and tries to go get it
My point is simple. If he doesn't slow up, he's in position to catch the ball, or at worst knock it away. A WR has to be able to find the ball while he's running the route.
I understand what you are saying but many times, WR's slow up to find the ball better to jump straight up and grab it out of the air. He thought he was in position, was wrong, tried to continuing running and didn't get it since he slowed up
In a couple years Ford will make that catch
He slowed up some, just like on the pass he dropped. Freshman mistake
ECU didn't score off our turnovers.
Maybe they trust the other guys even less
You need to calm down. You're posts have been trending doom and gloom for the past two weeks at a fanatical level.
To be fair though, this season is pretty much doom and gloom.
This is gods curse for treating Logan Thomas so bad.
Bend but don't break Defense.
What is going on with the secondary? We give up long plays every time a team goes into 2 minute drill.
No front 4 pressure.
no comment!
Yup. This is unacceptable play.
I want to sincerely apologize to Ohio State.
Eight point lead? Dear God this is embarrassing.
I'm really disgusted right now and I can't pinpoint one person or thing to blame at. I know our boys are playing hard but it seems they're not in it fully mentally with crap playcalling. Just going to go drown this away in scotch.
So let this sink in..........Up by 8 at the half against WMU! The only thing keeping us from being tied or losing is a special teams TD and a safety..... WOW!!!!!!!!
BEAMERBALL!
The play calling has been bad. Why aren't we running right at them? Runs up the middle have been very good, but we start running east and west again. Why are we throwing the ball so fucking much?
Tell Brewer that if someone is running at him, take the damn sack or throw it away. Stop throwing off the back foot for the love of God.
We would have no completed passes if that were the case.
this is embarrassing. Take out the safety and fumble recovery for a TD, we are tied with directional Michigian
I don't care what anyone says, I don't believe our OLine is horrible or less talented than ECU/WMU (although both have looked better). I believe OLines benefit from schematics and we're becoming way too predictable. I think we had the element of surprise when no one had film on Brewer or this year's scheme, but eventually it's started to get stale and predictable. We need to trust the RBs because although they're freshman they've proven capable. We're trying to use the play action pass to set up the run instead of the other way around. Senseless.
Interesting points about the scheme and play calling. But the talent gap just isn't there.
Wow. That was painful to watch.
Averaging 4.5 yards per rush, I hope they come out and pound it the 3rd quarter
Bowden thinks we should sit Brewer but when have his coaching decisions ever worked?
First half thoughts: 1. How are we not running the ball on WESTERN MICHIGAN?!?!?! 2. WESTERN MICHIGAN!!!!! 3. Loeffler, I'm sorry but I don't get what his "offensive philosophy" is at all and 4. Michael Brewer has 10 picks through 4 1/2 games...somethings gotta give.
We have been running on them when we run at them instead of away from them. Leoffler decided to throw it the rest of the half apparently though
I am really not as mad as some. But let's look at facts right now. In the last two weeks, opponents have scored 27 points on drives immediately following Brewers INT's. This is a testament to how much damage picks do to a teams momentum and how much it increases the momentum of the other team. WMU has 90 yards of offense and 10 points to show for it.
I'll ask again...will he learn his lesson?
My hope is the Beamer will let them have it at halftime and try to light a fire in their asses, but knowing Beamer, he'll probably just give the "Western Michigan.... they are a tough team..... they'll get after ya"
Both sides of the ball look hungover today. Nevertheless, I do not like the play calling today. We need to play under center more.
D looked good, WMU had all of about 10 yards total offense til that last drive
Represents VT football, love 'em but they're still just poo right now.
Beamer should make the change.
If the race was that close between Leal and Brewer what's the worst thing that can happen.
When Loeffler was hired he stressed running the football. That last drive should have ended with rushes, either they move the pile for a TD or the run the clock and get a FG and a two TD lead. This is not Ohio state, we don't need to go for the jugular when the chance arrives. Conservative and let the defense do work should beat a MAC school.
Guys, this is all my fault. I've been drinking Bell's Two-Hearted Ale, which is brewed in Kalamazoo.
After this pitcher, we need to switch to a Virginia beer.
Imaginary down vote for lack of preparation of drinking activities!
I mean, I drank 3 2-hearted ales vs. ECU, and we scored 3 TDs.
Didn't think this through...
Might I suggest Devil's Backbone?
Actually, that is exactly what we switched to.
Can Logan Byrd just graduate tomorrow and start next week?
The offense has scored the same number of points as Western Michigan. Take away the lucky special teams plays and we're tied. With Western Michigan.
This doesn't look like the offense we saw at Ohio State. The TEs are not as involved in the passing game and we're not seeing as many quick outs and comebacks. We're seeing lots of slow developing deep passes that Brewer can't hit consistently even if he had time to throw. The energy and focus isn't there either. The OL is getting pushed around most of the time by Western Michigan. It's unbelievable.
This is what frustrates me the most. These guys just aren't putting forth the level of effort they're capable of. It's like these young guys don't understand what it takes to win week in and week out.
It's easy to blame the players but the coaches are to blame for this. Vince Lombardi would not accept this level of motivation.
And it looked like we were playing zone defense on WMU's FG drive.
Just watched the replay of that last INT. Had someone (looked like Byrn) running wide open right in front of Brewer. I don't understand that throw.
It's simple. Ford doesn't slow down, it's likely a touchdown.
Yeah, I think his plan was to throw it deep from the pre-snap read. Saw single coverage, assumed Ford would get open. Byrn really did have a TD on that play if you put it in his hands
You're absolutely right about that, but simply because you're capable of completing a pass doesn't make it a good decision. Part of being a reliable QB is awareness.
Like I've said before, if Ford doesn't slow up, catches it for a TD, we'd be all sorts of excited. Instead, it's all Brewer's fault.
Why can't we have nice things :(
Seriously! Beamer needs to start believing he deserves good things; and his record against top ranked opponents or his record in games right after victories against ranked opponents suggest otherwise. He seems to struggle with success.
Everything was fine until they honored Weaver... even in retirement he is screwing us
#analysis
I will bet $10 they switch off of this game due to the Raycom/ACC Network issues and go to the Texas A&M game when it comes on.
I wonder if the coaches are burnt after osu. Maybe they just not have the energy to motivate the boys after that game. Somebody needs to get out a big freaking stick.
Alright lets see what happens.
Broadcast issues still haven't been resolved
Where has new some been? No jet sweeps?
Asked on TSL, would it be helpful if Loefler came down to the sideline instead of the coaches booth? He could be a calming influence on his QB's.
Any idea what was going on on the return?
WOW! WHAT A RUN BY MARSHAWN!
Juice!
JUICE. GIVE IT TO HIM AGAIN.
Look at that, a north south run and 35 yards...
LET'S DO THAT A LOT MORE
Nope.... after a huge run play again, nothing. Bubble screen. No.
GREAT blocking on that first play. Especially Cline.
That said, just because it works one time, does NOT mean you run the exact same play right afterward...
#RaycomInChargeOfBroadcasting
.
Gotta love watching a DE come free while the tackle/guard doubleteam a guy.
Bad decision giving up field
And the Cover 0 kills us again
ALL DAY TO THROW AND NO SAFETY HELP.
I really hate the Orange Effect game nowadays
Riley turned WAY to late
Need a turnover
If I were an opposing coach, I would throw Riley's way every single time.
Playing like this, you don't deserve the win.
Brewer really does not like pressure.
Why are we attempting 50+ yard field goals? Giving away field position.
Execute dork magic!
Joe keeps retweeting his own tweet of the 'WELP' emoticon guy and it is cracking me the hell up... he did it within 20secs. of each other after that missed FG and the long pass given up.
I feel like Scot plays against Scot every game regardless of who we are playing.
MISSED WIDE LEFT!
DM baby
HAHA
We are so damn lucky.
Please run a lot now
Raycom is so incompetent, it's almost like they only got the ACC contract because the commissioner's son works there or something.
Maybe Frank should celebrate the missed FG the same way Fleck did. That was nuts, looked like PJ thought he had won the Super Bowl.
We certainly need somebody on the sidelines to show some energy. Frank should do one of his dances or something.
This should not be a close game
Lets get down the damn field now! run the ball, wear out their front! Play like we are the big boys in our home stadium for a change!
Me right now:
After 16 games I am starting to think the Auburn Loeffler is the real Loeffler.
Agreed.
Personally, I hate that Stinespring gets to stay in the booth, I can't help but feel like he has something to do with this. Seriously tho; since when does TE coach sit up in the booth?? #NitpickingAlittle
Conte whiffed
BREWER'S WHEELS GET THE 1ST
YEAH SHAI!
The new third and Brewer play!
Why don't we run the ball from center? Frustrating
hahaha
I hate seeing Lane that empty.
1st by Shai!
Looks like Shai is hitting his stride.
Shai vs. LB. Shai wins.
i'm a dead horse at this point, but JCC will STILL steal carries from shai in the 4th qtr.
Now THAT'S what we wanna see. Keep it basic Scot!
All I'm seeing now is 'WDBJ7 TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES'. I have audio, but no video.
\_()_/
Finish the damn drive. Come on.
DAMN SHAI LOOKS TOUGH!
TD! FORD!
Built Ford Tough
Now THAT looks more like a Virginia Tech drive. Well done, guys.
Now that is how a drive should look for us
I feel a little more easy after getting that Six. That was huge
That's more like it.
WE SHAI NAO.
Do I need to say it?
Very sexy drive.
Wonder why there was a RB change once we got within the 15. Shai got winded?
Liked the TD pass! Brewer frustrates me. He looks so good most of the time, it's just that his bad decisions are REALLY bad.
Shai seems to sub out more than Williams, if I was to take a guess, maybe his stamina is not 100% due to being injured so long
Old school vt ball baby!
Thats the good stuff, run it it down the field and wear them down and set up easier passing lanes. Guess Loeffler found an old play book up there in the booth.
Run like hell! That's how I want this offense to look
A commitment to the running game is nice. Hard to get in a rhythm running the ball when you abandon it as soon as you get less than 5 yards on a carry
I think Shai should be the three down back. That hit he put on the linebacker... whew. Now that drive can't be a fluke, need to keep the smashmouth rushing attack going.
On that drive there was a lot more North / South running....that resulted in a TD. Why does Lefty continuously call plays that run East / West?????
Preach it brother preach
I always assume that it is to widen out the linebackers so that there is room to run north-south. Sometimes the sweeps and east-west runs for nothing or a loss frustrate me, but I remind myself that there has to be a method to the madness.
I don't see trey on st? Did reinjure or rehab difficulty?
He was in the game earlier at RB but they haven't mentioned anything
Alright defense, KILL! KILL! KILL!
we need to nail the coffin
Nice stop
WMU HAS A PLAY CALL SIGN FEATURING KERMIT.
I actually like them now.
Stroman really has some moves, I can't wait to see him return it all the way
I see moss is on punt return.
I really like Stroman as our PR. He seems to get 10+ yards on most returns. Its only a matter of time before he breaks one.
Just a matter of time until Greg Stroman takes one to the house
Stroman is solid, makes something out of nothing every time he fields a kick
Looks like the ACC is its usual self
Stroker on the punt return baby!
I get excited too, but not THAT excited
I have noticed something on the last two punts. VT coverage guys are making a conscious effort to avoid blocks in the back. I've seen two times where our guys have come up behind WMU players and have pulled up to avoid the penalty. Stroman gets hit, but at least we don't move back after that.
BUCKY BALL, I LOVE IT!
Bucky!
Do we ever run it on 3rd down?
These commentators suck
Shai is more punishing than juice.
Ok Id expect such bad commentating from espn but not the ACC network.
Why did we abandon the run?
Damn. Gotta run second down.
I thought announcers were supposed to take time before the game to learn names and numbers?
WHAT A CATCH, INTO THE RZ WITH BUCKY!
Bucky is playing out of his mind today
Bucky is special.
Bucky Hodges is a large man with bad intentions and I love him for it.
SHAI CLOSE TO THE GOAL-LINE
This is the kind of football that I do like
McKenzie is a fricking truck
Punishing!
Shai McKenzie Trucking, Inc.
I liked Shai laying the boom! He's hitting hard right now.
I want a td here! Running!
Either pound it 3 more times up the middle or throw a fade to bucky. Only 2 things I want to see happen
Things I don't like in football: teams named the Broncos, and whenever we go away from our Maroon unis
...couldn't just run up the middle from under center? ...This has a Stinespring stink to it. hmm
Now let's punch it in with the run game.
Time to get fully dipped!
TD, SHAI! untouched, made it look easy
Beautiful Just Beautiful.
I'm a genius.
I formation! Yaaaaassss
Unbalanced line that play too. This half's gameplan should be our game plan every fucking game
Power blocking is what I like.
I feel like that throw to Bucky was just like the interception thrown to I.Ford in the endzone. He just threw it up for grabs and hoped that his guy came down with it. Fortunately, Bucky Hodges (Bucky Rodgers/Ford depending on the announcer) is amazing!
I formation? Scotty found it!
Evidently those pages fell out of the book when he was making his way up to the box.
Maybe another score, and they sub in some second stringers?
YES....Thank YOU......More "I" Formation...north and south please and way less of the BS!
And that is how it's done. The last couple series have been vintage VT football. Pound the rock, make plays through the air when you need to.
Can we just go ahead and set the RB depth chart at 1. mcKenzie 2. Williams 3. Edmunds 87. Coleman
Alright, let's open that kicker position back to open competition.
That wasn't Slye...
Even though the stats don't show it, I think Slye has performed pretty well this season to be honest.
Seriously, another out of bounds kickoff?
Now that's a 3rd quarter that inspires hope (again).
Nothing doing! 15yd TFL. Welcome to the Lunchpail D, Ricky Walker
Somebody went down on that play. :/
Looked like Bonner, but I guess he's okay, they're not talking about it.
Walker poking good,
I smell turnover coming. Pressure!
BOOM, SACKED BY CHUCK!
I wanna see Zteller next series.
There he is.
It's fun to watch Stroman return punts.
Now, see, we start running forward, and not only do we get positive yards, but it seems to make our Oline play a LOT better when that's the playcall.
MARSHAWN RUNS IT INTO BRONCOS TURF
Marshawn Williams is a straight-up beast. 100+ yards today and a ton of guys getting dragged along with him.
I want a stat for how many yards Broncos defenders have been dragged on the field today.
That run made me cry a little.
I know everyone is calling for Shai to get 70% of the carries but him and Marshawn are pretty neck and neck in my book.
Marshawn seems to get better as the game goes along. Wear down the D and run over them.
I think shai has better vision finding holes and cutbacks, williams has the same toughness and pretty good agility, it runs too straight ahead and misses cutbacks and openings
That's a good complementary pair though, if you ask me. And both should improve as the season goes on.
Our OL has worn them down I think. We moved their DL 5 yards backwards the last play. I pray that Leoffler is seeing the results of this 2 TE pound the rock plan and will do it next week, and the week after, and the week after.
Stop with the fancy shit and pound them. The passing will be much easier off play action later on.
So the horse goes in front of the cart?
After watching us attempt to set up the run with play action, I thought it could go either way. Nice to see we got it right finally.
It moved
The sideline reporter turned and mouthed "wow" three times and then said he is just dragging dudes. All I could think was Ryan Williams/Darren Evans and the list goes on.
No need for those passes, just run it
Yep. Stopped our mo.
New chant to be started and replace the "Stick it IN".......It now needs to be" North and South "... That is all!
Let's see backup qb next series
missed opportunity there.
Cam should have had that. Its good though, h's a freshman so it gives him something to work on.
I probably could have been a better throw also TBH.
Son of a bitch. That was a beautiful throw...
Should have been caught and Phillips needs to run through the route
He is gonna be sick watching that one in film review.
CAM PHILLIPS SLOWED DOWN TOO.
I don't care how good they are, Ford and Phillips need to do some sprints or up-downs for slowing down on those routes that would have otherwise become easy TDs.
no need for anything creative Lefty, just run the ball and chew up yards and clock.
Shai = Run *into* people and then get a little wiggle past them.
Juice = Run *over* people and then drag them 3-5+yds. per carry.
Both guys have their benefits. If Edmunds got in on this and contributed as well, I've gotta say, I'm not entirely against this Cerberus of a backfield.
But it's like Blackledge said in the OSU game when he missed Hodges. When a guy is that open, you gotta put it right on him. Don't try to lead him.
When the ball hits the receiver in the hands, the throw is not the problem.
on the upside, very nice to see Brewer start to climb the pocket. It's been there all season.
Juice and Shai remind me of what Clemson had in CJ Spiller and James Davis. #ThunderLightning
Who's lightning??
it would have to be Shai, both bring the boom, but Shai is much faster imo
Missed chance, but both of our starting freshman WR will have things they can learn and build on from today. Disappointing in this instance, but not a huge deal and he'll learn.
Not that crisp of a route.
This whole broadcast has been like a choppy/laggy game of NCAA or Madden
Oh no, please be alright Dadi
OH SHIT DADI
Dadi nooooooo. Kyshoen noooooo
VT can't afford those stupid penalties
Illegal substitution penalty #1 on us. On the defense? Bud not happy.
And having Dadi go down might be a bad thing here...
Oh hey, more substitution penalties.
Penalties nooooo
Horribly sloppy on penalties this drive. Bud is going to eat some people alive.
Umm is anyone else as upset as me that Tech got a "new" lunchpail? Part of the lunchpail to me is how beat up it is, what it's been through.
Me.
At least one or two of our alums have taken the old pail home with them. I forget who, but the pail has been replaced several times in recent years. I wish they could have found one that was more beaten up, but this is probably just the first time anyone has brought attention to something that's been going on.
The new one doesn't have that early 1900's stamped metal look. It almost looked like it was thicker somehow.
I thought we might make it an entire game with an illegal substitution penalty... I honestly wasn't expecting one to come on the defense.
Why didn't they get the same penalty when they ripped Bucky's helmet off?
VT needs to answer with a score here.
Ugh effing Alabama had the game on TV therefore blacked out online. 2:30 just came around and they switched it to the aTm vs Arkansas game. STILL BLACKED OUT. Effing SEC country, effing noon kick offs.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOKIE, KILL THE CLOCK!
Facemask
TREY LOOKING LIKE HIS OLD SELF, WELCOME BACK #14!
Trey Edmunds!
Something I will have to go back to the film reviews later to see but was Wang or Teller in at LG for the 3rd quarter where we mauled them up front?
Anyone have a streaming site? Just got switched to aTm-Ark
That's whats happened to me. It's blacked out online here in AL.
Local TV still has it on VT
Paperboy delivers off a beautiful Brewer pass under pressure
Pretty pass. I think that's Byrn's first catch.
Looks like 2nd string OL is in now for the most part
Too many people have left early, very disappointing.
Shai had a really nice cut on that play
Why are we running hurry up?
Oh no, Shai is down
Oh fuck. Shai.
Noooo Shai get up and be a cramp
Come on, Shai, please be OK. Looked like he was in a lot of pain...
NOOOOOO!
Marshawn is a Beast
Lol "everybody but the center"
Best penalty call by a ref this season
I'm pretty sure this same guy has made this call before.
No one hit Shai when he got injured, either. That's not cool. :(
Hall of fame penalty call moment right there.
Damn. Overthrew everyone.
Ok, give the starters a break
This team is starting to fall apart. Penalties and injuries. I hope Shai is okay.
drive killing penalties are killing us, should have walked out with 7 there.
False start. Offensive line. Everyone but the center.
Call of the century.
I hope it's not Shais knee. It was his right knee that he messed up in high school.
Why can we never stay healthy?
RVD is in!
hahaha
We have a lot of subs in.
Homecoming, ya know.
Also explains the emptier stands at this point in the game.
Nice Sack by Bonner
CJ Reavis sighting.
Bonner's had a decent day today.
Mark Leal and Joel Caleb sighting. Can the subs send the crowd home happy with another score?
Great we get the same announcers next week too! Lucky us! Better fix Bucky Rodgers jersey.
I'm glad Caleb got in to get some runs
LOLUVA, Kent State strikes 1st
Looking like a tough day for the ACC OOC, BC already lost, and Pitt is losing (both to teams they have no business losing to)
the way I look at, uva has no business winning football games
Oh, I agree, I was just thinking at the end of the day VT might be the only ACC team to win an OOC game (certainly looks possible right now) and the teams the other ACC teams played - Akron, Kent St, Colorado St ... not exactly powerhouses
Feels good to finally get a win again. No TKP meltdown this week thank goodness.
I really hope we cut out penalties next week. And turnovers.
Thanks to the telecast it looks like I have a KOCH burned into my TV. Just what I needed
300+ rushing yards is good. Except for the two turnovers it was a very good game for us.
NCSU up 14-7 on FSU
I hope that this team gets whatever they need diagnosed and fixed. This does not look like a coastal division winning team. Nonetheless, it was good to see a win in Blacksburg!
sounds like Shai might of torn his ACL again... :/
Find out more tomorrow I guess
Not as bad as I had feared, but still concerning. Good luck in getting healthy, Shai.
Hopefully he's alright
Sounds like it could be worse than expected. Beamer eluded to losing Shia for a while. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
Caleb looked pretty decent. I hope he has earned some future carries. Hopefully we can build on the running game momentum for next week with me and trey an and Caleb.
No offense to JCC, but I'd at least give Caleb a chance on the plays that JCC is getting now.. JCC has a couple packages that result in 0 yards Every Single Time
Oh this is not good...
The man was having an excellent game. I hope he can return, but it sounds like he's out for a while, at least.
Dadi?
Scroll up.
I think both teams need to step it up big time for next week.
Both teams being VT and Raycom/ACC Network.
