I was freakin out. I wore my HOAT shirt to the ECU game and got a mixed reaction from the people at my tailgate. Some got it right away and thought it was the greatest thing ever, others didn't understand. Today, those who didn't get it a couple of weeks ago were enlightened.
Oh yea and then, some guy, no joke, pulls this little doozy out of his bookbag and requested I pose for a picture.
I was at the game and can confirm that that HOAT video was the tits!

I saw this pop up on twitter somewhere and gave it a watch thinking "wow, that was really well done for a fan made video." Knowing the hokievision team did it and that it was played during the game raises a couple questions though. They sure used a lot of copyrighted material in it and I don't think they got the approval on all of it...so...maybe Whit would let me make a video to be played on the big screen!
There are services that are specifically for sports teams to be able to use movie clips in their Jumbotron videos.
I imagine the clips were all licensed for the purpose of entertainment in the video. That would be a colossal screw up otherwise and it does not do to irritate the all powerful mouse who owned most of those copyrights.

If nobody noticed, there were several Western Michigan fans wearing horse head masks at the game in support of their team. I imagine they were rather confused seeing our HOAT, but the irony of this debuting the day we play the Broncos had me laughing as well.

This was actually brought up during time with Desiree to start the year. Someone made sure to say that if they have to be booked that far in advance, get to booking them for Bristol. She said it was a good idea and that ESPN made it seem like they weren't busy at all.
