Sweat Tech Visit

Hey all,

Obviously we all know Josh Sweat missed his official in Blacksburg against GT a couple weeks ago because of the injury he suffered the Friday night before. Has there been any word if he plans to squeeze us in there again before his final decision? He's got Georgia Saturday the 4th, FSU the 17th, and then wraps it up with Oregon on Nov 1st. Maybe he'll make it up for the Thursday night Miami game on the 23rd?

I wonder if he's going to be able to get in all of his visits before he decides if he still plans on enrolling early. I do wonder if that is still the plan or not though.

I would almost think that enrolling early might now be more of a goal than it was before. Get into a system in a couple months where he can kick the rehab into overdrive with a staff on hand that is specifically trained to get athletes stronger faster than what he would see in high school.

I'm not worried about his recruitment. Just make sure he can get to campus on his own terms and wow his socks off when he does. Now that his HS career is done, getting him up for the Miami game very well is a possibility, and I would almost expect it.

Yeah that's a very good point. No use in staying in high school when you could have top rehab at Tech and getting on the Gentry plan earlier than expected. Getting him on a Thursday night would be ideal.

It's more a question of his visits. Does he feel compelled to still visit all five schools before making his decision? Or just 2 or 3?

^^^^This, I bet his parents want this too. Best for his future considering.
So we need to wow him on all the normal stuff + Gentrification + VT Rehab Support System.

Yeah, I believe his Mom already came out and said that he would still be enrolling early regardless.

It seems that he would have more time to visit versus before since he won't be in high school practices or games, and definitely should be interested in getting to rehab in spring with our staff versus staying in high school. I was honestly worried about UGA, so if this means they are out of the picture, then it is really either us or FSU.

I'm sure he'll still visit UGA, he just likely can't travel yet or doesn't want to yet with surgery on the horizon.

On his official visit, I almost feel like an introduction to our team Docs & physical therapists would be as beneficial as the academic & football oriented stops.

A visit on Thursday night would be great.
