That kind of inattention to detail makes me want to punch the equipment manager in the neck. I cannot stand crooked decals.

They're wearing white unis tomorrow night too. There's been a bit of confusion amongst fans (yeah, I know, go figure) as to whether there is a "white-out" for their game. Their athletic department, in true LOLUVA fashion, has said "we don't care what you wear, as long as it's not blue and gold, just come to the game and be loud." From this, I draw several conclusions: 1. They don't have a clue as to how to organize fan "effect" games (see: Babcock, Whit), 2, They're ok with anything, as long as you're breathing. Or not. Just buy a ticket for goodness sakes! 3. Their fans are going to be totally confused with the home team being in white. 4. They're hoping that everyone watching on TV (all 113 of them) thinks that the small home crowd reflects poorly on Pitt.

It can be very difficult to pull off an "effect" game with so many empty seats though. There's no live-action photoshop available to add fans into the seats for the broadcast.
Word is they are feverishly replacing the existing bleachers with these:

You have to fill the stands with manikins or something. That's a lot of pre-game setup for a telecast that tens of people are going to watch.

Both schools are trying to market a Ghost Effect game and an Echo Effect game. The fewer fans the better

They celebrate Halloween all season long, so the fans dress up as empty seats.
It doesnt help to try. The Old UVA had not really been working, but I was fine with that.

but with some of the helmets we've worn in recent memory, we really can't talk much. although, our helmet offerings this year have been much better than the previous 2 years.

DON'T YOU DARE MAKE FUN OF THE HOKIESTONE HELMET. Would've looked better with matte paint as opposed to the shiny complexion, gotta say. Anyhow, these UVA helmets are quite awful

I'm okay with us not playing at UNC at night - there is only so much wine and cheese that can be consumed by a 12:30 kickoff time in Chapel Hill.
They had two 3 pm kickoffs and a primetime tonight. UVa is clearly paying someone off.

You must be talking about the stretch of I-64 near exit 120, right below Monticello. It can get pretty ripe down there. The sewage plant is right beside the interstate.
