(ESPN3 access may be blacked out since I live in the area where it's on local tv so try it out & see for yourself)
Two ways to watch. I would recommend watching via WatchESPN as it will provide the best quality.
1) Go to WatchESPN.com
2) Click on Remote Access
3) It will ask you for your provider. Select Xfinity/Comcast
4) It should then take you to the Comcast login screen. Enter the following:
Username: VTFootball2014 Password: Hokie4lifE
(password is case-sensitive)
5) Once you click ok/sign-in, you should be redirected back to the WatchESPN website where you should now have access to the game. All you need to do is find it and click on it. Enjoy!
Due to computer issues/desktop crashing, I will not be streaming today's game or likely any game for the forseeable future.I'll try to rectify this as soon as I can. I the meantime, try http://firstrowsports.eu for a stream but be sure to use Ad-Block and don't download anything if it asks. You don't need to.

I have fios and the watchESPN username and PW aren't working for me..
Password is case-sensitive.
yes I'm aware of that..I double-triple checked it several times...I even ensured that the username I was using was correct..still no dice
Whose username/pw are you trying to use?
If you are trying to use Phreak's, you need to select xfinity/comcast as the provider.
But if you have fios and are subscribed to espn, you should be Able to use the account you use to log into your fios account
ACC Network has a "Watch Live" option here: http://www.theacc.com/#!/GameCenter/53b2e231e4b0cd54db7bdfcc
Not sure how well that works.
Watched on my mobile phone and later on my laptop when I got home. Both worked well. Better than ESPN.
Have to go to the girlfriends volleyball game today. Thanks to vtphreak4evr I will be watching on my phone... You da real MVP
You are my hero!!!!
Pls help. I click remote access and it says "You can access WatchESPN remotely using your comcast.net account". it gives nothing else. no links or anything to click, just an exit button, help meh??????
Edit: JK after extensive button mashing with a side of dork magic i think i got it to work
Don't ask for a side of dork magic at your local restaurant. I find that it is just mashed potatoes, spit and occasionally some glitter.
And today is the day I find out what I can get away with doing at work. Thanks for this vtphreak, LET'S GO!!
can some post the link directly to the streaming video? I am on a very unfriendly computer and cant find the link on that site
So this seems like an appropriate rant for this thread
I bought Amazon Fire TV after dropping Comcast in hopes that it would let me get WatchESPN.
It did. I have the app.
But it had to validate through your Comcast account (which, from a technical standpoint is a pretty slick process, but I ended up getting boned because now Comcast knows I don't buy ESPN from them). So I got blocked.
But last night I realized that I could watch PAC12 games on ESPN Deportes for free. I speak just enough Spanish to get myself in trouble, so, awesome, I can watch some games I wouldn't normally get.
So I'm watching this game and realize that this turned out pretty well.
But someone had to translate that game. And, in addition, when commercial breaks come on, I don't get the commercial. I get a banner reading "Your event is in a commercial break".
So let's review: Someone pays to translate the game and doesn't make money off showing me commercials. The PAC12, ESPN, and Comcast all lose money by not showing me regular ESPN. This makes total sense to me.
So in conclusion, the ACC should provide a Spanish language broadcast so that the games can be distributed free via WatchESPN.
So, in conclusion, you should make sure your parents have a Comcast account that comes with Watch ESPN access, and use their credentials to stream it. Duh.
Or in-laws.
Or use VTPhreak's watchESPN login to watch games. I am watching a replay of LSU game right now. Go Phreak!
Replays I get for free. It's only live that needs payment.
you would still be able to watch a days worth of live games on Phreak's hookup ;) i usually catch 2 to 3 games, but i am sleeping during that time as well damn brain and its incessant need for REM
I'm not sure if this is bad, but I used his info on my Xbox to get the W&M game and it still lets me watch any live event (I've watched NASCAR, NFL Monday Night Football, the All-Access thing yesterday, etc). I'm not sure that it ever expires, but if it does it takes a while.
Also, Phreak, if this might cause any issues let me know and I can try to figure out how to log out after any VT games I use it for.
Agreed on that. if it causes a problem please let me know. But yes, I use it all the time to watch sportscenter and other events as I don't get any sports tv at all. really cannot express how much Phreak has improved my life abroad.
Wait, watchespn isn't blocked by the Great Firewall? That's surprising.
(I'm assuming you're still in China, at least)
Oh it certainly is, but in China...
