Larry Fedora's Thoughts on VT's Defense

"I'd love to tell you that Virginia Tech is a great defense and did something spectacular," Fedora said. "But it was whatever we could do wrong, whatever could go wrong for us offensively, went wrong the entire first half."

Not that surprising. His history of believing a good offense should beat a good defense, and subsequent lack of defensive emphases, are a part of who he is, as reflected by this saying. That, and the senseless rotation of QB's are why he will not win championships not matter how much talent he has. Players will not be perfect, and you cannot outscore every opponent without defense unless they are.

Kvile as in Kernersville?

Yep. Repping K-Vegas.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own

just because he doesn't win championships doesn't mean he won't buy his team championship rings. Just as good, right?

You mad?

A little.

We all know pick sixes are straight luck, right?

How about a small tip of the cap, Fedora.

Sounds like a guy who's worried about losing a top in-state defensive recruit to Bud Foster.

Yeah, especially considering how our DEs absolutely embarrassed their tackles all day. Clearly that was just kids ignoring their coaches right there.

I don't follow said recruit on Twitter, but I heard he was retweeting pro vt stuff during the game.

Looking at his future schedule this year he probably needs to worry about whether he will win another game this season.

They could very easily lose out the rest of their schedule, you're right

Hey Larry!
excuses

FOSTERS: Australian for defense

The guy has no eyes and that is why he will fail as a coach.

Take for instance their excellent drive which ended in 3 pts.

What errors did the UNC offense they make which prevented the TD?
It certainly wasn't the pass that Bonner defended in the end zone or the RB stops inside the 5. That was a very good pass and a very good effort by the WR, it was just perfectly defended by Bonner.

The Hokies defense just played the end of the drive lights out and denied the TD.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

I doubled posted the heck out of your original post too.

You can do what you want, Sir.

Good coaches take blame and deflect praise. He's back handed blaming his players.

Fedora, is not "fully dipped" nor does he have any "dork magic"!

So Fedora has 'thoughts" about the game?!

He must have been wearing his thinking cap then...

Wow, I thought no one would touch Brady Hoke for dense comments after a loss. I was wrong; "Looking at you Fedora!"

Go Hokies!

I listened to a little bit of their post game radio show.

When asked about the pick six...he threw the receiver under the bus, backed up and drove over him again.

And was very defensive about rotating QBs.

Bottom line, I'm glad he's their coach!

"Take care of the little things and the big things will come."

I'll still never get his devotion to rotating his QBs. Even if he made promises about playing time, anyone can see that it's clearly not working, and he isn't doing the kid any favors at this point. He's hurting his team and the player's future by not putting the kid in a position to succeed. That's the definition of a bad coach.

Fedora's interview after halftime was very telling. He threw his players under the bus. I'm not sure how many people would charge a hill for that dude. Please keep him Carolina!

Don't Fire Al Groh Larry Fedora!

Geez, what a tool. What was the receiver supposed to have done there that would have prevented that? QB never should have tested Fuller in the first place.

Fedora doesn't know what a defense actually is and certainly doesn't understand the fact that it's a great defense that wins championships. How many coaches think going 3 and out in less then 30 seconds 8 times a game is a good strategy? In the end it doesn't matter because the Hokies proved it on the field! Go Hokies!

Touchdown Tech - Bill Roth

Larry Fedora may not have thought so, but it looks like our coaches disagreed:

I'd say Fedora was just full of sour grapes. His team made some mistakes, sure, but so did we. UNC got straight-up beat and on top of that, they haven't looked good against anyone all year. Big-time recruits on the sidelines and the fans were streaming out during the 2nd quarter. All-around bad news for Captain Visor.

"Exit light..."

Ekanem was a force all game. Sooo glad he is back from that knee injury. Hopefully Dadi has time to mend during the bye week and we will have a nasty set of bookend DEs.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Meanwhile Beams was complimenting Fedora's team up 24-3 at half.

"Those boys in powder blue, they'll get after ya..."

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Larry Fedora probably needs to think less about our D or his O, and put a little more thought into where next year's paychecks are going to come from.

Fedora can say whatever he wants when he has badasses like this sticking up for him:

@historyhokie.bsky.social

Why does he have a big condom on his head?

This is going to be great for the ACC.

This guy totally reminds me of the dumbass that was posting videos all over youtube trying to trash VT and anyone else who went against UNC a couple of seasons ago. Unfortunately I think he removed his videos. Either that or he disabled comments because a few here from TKP were royally owning his ass

How about that allaboutdaU guy or whatever his name is that puts out the stupid YouTube videos before the Miami have ever year and always has to eat crow.

"I'll put a quote here to distract you from my inane comment."-Me

Yep I remember that guy too. I don't know why these people think we care about what they have to say

Must be related to where he came from or where he is going to. Either way, it's a question best left unanswered.

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

That's a trilby, not a fedora.

I apologize if I am doing trolling.

Better watch your throatneck, h8tr.

"Trying to be stupid and ass funny." "Spouting it out of your stupid ass keyboards that probably aren't even mechanical." ?????

I hear Larry Fedora makes similar videos to vent and hype himself up after losses.

Larry Fedora's thoughts on things other than VT's Defense.

  • "Star Wars was ok I guess, but their competition in 1977 was pretty weak. If Autumn Sonata had hit the screens a year early, Lucas's box office take wouldn't have been nearly as big."
  • "I'm tired of hearing about the '72 Dolphins. It's not like there was any real competition that year. The Colts didn't even have Peyton that year, and the Dolphins scheduled them twice! Plus, everyone always just ignores they lost 3 games in the pre-season!!!"
  • "Wilt Chamberlain? Michael Jordan? Magic & Byrd? Puhhlease. They wouldn't have made it off the bench at my high school."
  • "Mustard based. Vinegar. Tomato based. It's all ok, but they are all a poor substitute for ketchup."

Any negative comments about Michael Jordan is blasphemy in Chapel Hill. Says a lot about how big of a d-bag Fedora can be.

Larry Fedora wears a visor, croakies, a collared shirt, boat shoes, and whatever other stupid shit southern frat stars wear to games. Hes a whiny little girl just like his fan base. His opinion is irrelevant because he is irrelevant.

Impressive how you read my mind.

Fedora?
Isn't that some kind of hat?
asshat

A picture is worth a thousand words. A gif is worth a million.

This is the coach that had Coastal Champ rings made for his team when they didn't win the Coastal.

Fact.

Nuff said.

Leonard. Duh.

So would they get in trouble for selling them?

Low me to translate Fedora's coach speak: "...let's face it, I was overwhelmed today. My game plan stunk, my offensive stunk, my defensive stinks, I'm basically an overpaid six pack selfie". When's basketball season start so I don't get any press questions again.

Let's Go.....HOKIES!!!

It needs to be noted Fedora was sacked by Dadi Nicolas after he made that comment.

I hate to say it but that should be sacked by Ken Ekanem, he loves UNC.

Ekanem gets credit for the forced fumble of the answer.
