VT crystal balls taking over 247

Don't know if you guys had seen this yet but a slew of cb's have came through for Jalen Dalton to the good guys. Note that Tom Loy is the Carolina guru.

I don't know that I can believe your screen capture because you still have roughly half your battery life remaining. Post again when you're down below 10%.

Don't worry brother I have the Droid maxx. This thing will get me through the apocalypse on full charge.

lol for now... Give it a year or so and that thing will bog down with so much crap you'll be lucky if it'll last the day before you factory reset. (speaking from experience with my Razr Maxx HD... thing was soooo bad about a month ago so I reset it recently, and its back to being pretty awesome).

I miss my old LG Voyager. The phone app on that one worked so much better.

Rip his freaking head off!

That's good to know because it's been about a year and I'm seeing the exact same thing. Maybe it's time for a factory reset.

Dang, I used to have a Droid Charge and after 2 selfies I had to plug in...

.

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

Well it was named Charge...

The Droid plug-in is cheaper and really bright. Singes the eyebrows with all that power.

lol...

Seriously though, I'm conflicted about my next device when I'm due for an upgrade next month and I've had my eye on the Note 4 for a while. That said, I just saw what Moto is bringing with the Droid Turbo, and it looks pretty beastly. Same battery as the Maxx series, 5.2 inch screen, 3GB of RAM... Now I'm torn!

Currently have a Galaxy III and it is still running strong two years later. battery saps quicker, but they are great phones. Plus the screen is a plastic rather than glass like the iphones. Dropped mine several times and there isn't a scratch on it. I just don't think I can deal with having a phone as large as the Note. Too

The screen is still gorilla glass, but something about the structure makes it a bit stronger. I dropped my S3 4ft. onto concrete a month after I got it and it cracked a bit, but not anywhere near as bad as an iPhone's spiderweb pattern. It worked fine for about a year and a half until some of the pieces in the corner started falling off, and I replaced it with a $120 screen assembly I bought on eBay and it's been working fine for the 6 months since.

I do agree about the battery, though. Mine doesn't even make it through a full workday, and I don't use it for much. It tends to stay plugged in whenever I'm at home, work, or in the car.

Galaxy represent. I have the OG Galaxy S. Can't remember exactly when I got it but there is date inside of July 10, 2010.

I got a GS4 to replace my Droid Bionic. Before that, I had the iPhone 3G and 3G S. The GS4 is the best phone I've ever had.

Got you beat, still using my Droid 2 R2-D2 edition from a little over 4 years ago. I've been eligible for an upgrade for quite a while now but the combination of losing my grandfathered unlimited data package and the lack of options in smart phones with a slide out keyboard and removable battery have led me to delay upgrading. I'll probably have to give in soon though, my micro USB port died about a month ago and I've resorted to using a spare battery and a charger to keep it running.

Try buying your upgraded phone through Amazon Wireless. For some reason, current data plans usually stay intact when buying through them.

Not hearing much about Tim Settle lately, he would be a great get also.

We probably won't hear much from him until he takes his official to VT in a few weeks. Just a hunch.

Same with Dalton I think. His official to VT is 11/1, so hopefully we keep this mojo up until then.

He already took his official visit to tech (Settle that is) a few weeks back. I'm pretty sure we were his first official visit. Just sayin'.

"Give me a fu¢king beer", Anonymous Genius

Right you are. He's planning an unofficial later this year. That's when things could get interesting. If not, VT might get a nice little Christmas present.

For those keeping track... these 2 players are a 5* DE that we're heavily, heavily involved with and an unranked Offensive Tackle, who holds offers from VT, UofL, Miss St, and UGa.

Yes, this very much is good news.

Settle is a DT isn't he?

He is talking about the guys in the picture. Jalen Dalton is a big time DE.

"I thought the kid right there you're talking to right there played his nuts off."

My fault couldn't see the pic at work.

Loy said last week that he was sticking with UNC, makes you wonder what made him change his mind.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

34-17?

Sure didn't hurt our chances. We were trending for him before that though. I believe that may have just been the final nail in the coffin for Loy.

"I'll put a quote here to distract you from my inane comment."-Me

Probably.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Doesn't hurt when the coach says it wasn't the other teams defense....

a clear sign as any that it certainly was.

Thanks Mr. Obvious UNC coach!

Im sure the score and how we dominated helped but you have to give props to all the Hokies in attendance as well. We took over that stadium in noise levels (seriously I was walking into the stadium when the sack fumble happened and the cheer was so loud I was convinced that UNC did something good until a couple minutes later when the VT TD was announced)

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

It also looked like (from my couch) the UNC fans were not completely filling up the stadium either. The student section looked decent, but the rest looked sparse. Was that the case? If so, I bet that helped a ton.

It was fairly packed in for a decent portion of the game, at least from the view I had (which is not the view you could see on TV). The end zone seats were very sparse though, and the students started clearing out the second we went up 24-3 (one entire section in the corner never refilled after halftime). The sections above the students were also near empty as well.

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

That's what they showed on TV a lot, the section above the students. The hokie section looked packed though.

The Hokie section is always packed, regardless of the venue.

I have been listening to a lot of these noon games on the radio. It's great to have the crowd tell me, even on the road, when a good Hokie play is coming up before Bill can call it.

Same here, been listening while busy with my kids' sporting events. Love to hear the roar preceding the call.

We've been lured by the Crystal Ball before, but I'm hoping that where there's smoke, there's fire. In Dalton's case, all 7 predictions within the last week are VT, 5 of which are flips from UNC.

"Hell, Fedora can barely get his top ten recruits to talk to him much less come to Chapel Hill ..."

that and $8.99 will get you some cake at the Harris Teeter but I agree, there's lots of fire about the FAB15.

Yes, but how much is pie at Harris Teeter?

Do they have a pie this big??

This much pie???

One thing that gives me pause is that it's backwards this year. Usually we start high on the list and trend down. This year we've started off these guys lists and trending upwards. We didn't have a cb for Dalton til a couple weeks ago.

"I'll put a quote here to distract you from my inane comment."-Me

Agree - nice to see trending upwards.

As far as cb's go: let's remember that we had a cb for Houshon Gaines, and he committed to Florida... cb's and, for that matter, verbal commitments, do not mean much until they actually sign on the dotted line in February.

True. Where they can help is the momentum they can make happen for us with a # of these high end guys. If the Sweats, Daltons, Settles of the world all see that guys are looking very closely at VT, maybe it creates a magic vortex of yesses heading our way for the next recruiting class, where these guys are like "Hmmm, i could be down with being part of the one of the best CFB defenses of all time"

Dork magic vortices. That sounds pretty dope.

That sounds pretty dope.

You mean - that sounds fully dipped.

We can only get burnt on so many of these before we have them go our way for these big guys and positions of need

So this is probably random, but do you play dungeon gems lizardking?

What do we need crystal balls for when we have #ballsofsteel!

Take away Taylor and I think we have a real shot at all of those guys.

Don't forget Tolliver, if I am going to get my hopes up, I want them all the way up!

I am really hoping he flips to us. That would be a coup.

He has to notice what Fuller has been doing for us and all the young DBs we play

"I'm too drunk to taste this chicken" - Colonel Sanders via Ricky Bobby

He was hanging out with Fuller on his GT visit. He noticed.

Tom Loy thinks that he's likely gonna commit to us at his visit. Gets me excited. But I'm trying to stay tempered because Dalton is still a young kid. Young kids can change their minds at any moment. But nonetheless I'm excited! I feel sorry for teams that will face our defense if we have Dalton, Settle, and Sweat

And Hill. That kid is very underrated.

I don't really look into the "crystal ball" anymore. Most of the times a bunch of the analysts just change their vote whenever someone else that has more status than them changes their decision.

Bleeding burnt orange and chicago maroon

I feel you on that. The only reason I'm giving it a second thought is because of who the crystal ball picks are more than how many there are. Schurbert, Barton Simmons, Evan Watkins, Tom Loy, Kyle Bailey. These are guys close to the situation. As a matter of fact the only crystal ball for Dalton to UNC since middle summer came from OSU site eleven warriors.

"I'll put a quote here to distract you from my inane comment."-Me

They're still butt hurt from us wreaking havoc on the shoe

The guy from Eleven Warriors had switched it to Tech before he/it switched back later in the day...

Yea thats true. Im sure they get most of their predictions correct, just I have seen multiple times where they predicted us and it ended being another school. i.e. Darrell Taylor of recent.
