So we won our first two games against William & Mary and Ohio State. Then lost two head-scratchers against East Carolina and Georgia Tech (especially GT, that ending was extremely disheartening). We proceeded to then roll over Western Michigan and UNC, which was followed up by two blowout losses to Pitt and Miami...
If the laws of mathematics have taught me anything, logically our next two games against BC and Duke should be W's, probably not blowouts, but tight games that go our way. Hopefully the pattern will break after the next two weeks and we can win out to finish 8-4.
File this post under the old TKP standard of "serious and not so serious coverage of the Hokies."
But seriously, we should be able to beat these last four teams, even though right now it looks like we couldn't beat our way out of a wet napkin.
Go Hokies, let's beat those Iggles.

A rebuttal, if I may:
#browns (scattered, smothered, covered)
Oh man, this could be a good food debate. Personally, I take my #browns scattered, smothered, peppered, capped

Also, every other game that Marshawn Williams plays in, he has a touchdown.
That means we're due for a MMFW touchdown this weekend.
And he fumbles the other games. Hope that stops and the TD's start coming in consistently.
Now if we could just get Brewer to scoop and score on all of those...
Welp, it's a fact now. Because it couldn't go on the Internet if it wasn't true.
Its so hard to argue against such a logical conclusion....:-)
Uhh...Bonjour?

TURKEY LEGS FOR EVERYONE!
Is that a common core video?
This theory is hogwash. According to this, we lose to...(gulp)...UVA
hate to say it, but if it's going to be any year, it would be this one. That said, even in our worst years in recent history, we've beaten the fighting bowties and I have faith we'll do it again. And by faith I mean blind optimism draped in hope and denial.
This Bitter blog (http://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2014/october/26/bitter-blog-taking-loo...) makes me feel like we really should beat all four of the remaining teams.
My 12 year old son made the same observation.
I never said this was a serious theory. We could win the last four or lose every game. The point is there's still hope to see something good out of this team, some fire.
What is amazing is that we are 4-4. The way these last two weeks have gone, it feels like we are 2-6.
We may have issues but I am sure that we are a better team than what we saw last Thursday night versus Miami. We will not play that poorly again this year. (If necessary, repeat aloud until you believe). We may not win out, but we will look good at least once and better than last week every single Saturday.
imagine the bell curve of our games. anOSU was probably way over in the tail end of "good play" and Miami was (I hope) equally as far removed toward the "crappy play" end of the spectrum. It's the fact that I don't know what to expect week to week. Was GT our norm or somewhere worse than that? Was UNC what we should expect?
Each of those teams broke the curve.
I also noticed if we score 30+ points we win...If we score less than 30 points we lose
I also noticed that we win if we score more points than the other team

John Madden, is that you??
there's also this:
FACT!
When we deny the other team's pussy touchdowns, we win.
John Madden knows patterns too!
"Well, when you're playing good football, it's good football and if you don't have good football, then you're not really playing good football."
We better beat Duke, losing two years in a row to them is still unacceptable to me. Keep in mind we shut them down big time last year, 180ish yards of offense and no third down conversions, that game was one of the highlights of our three year offensive futility.
