I think he does. He is pretty even keeled, just like good ole dad. However, the fans knows that its a results based business. I think what the fans were upset about is not just the outcomes, but the effort, the preparedness of the team, and the overall schemes. We didn't just miss opportunities, we never took them. We got steamrolled on both sides of the ball and despite the 3 turnovers, we never really were in the game.

Agreed. And if you are going to work the flat and the sideline, it needs to be plays that are attempting to go 5 yards or more and not bubble screens behind the line or some play where Brewer is rolling out to his one receiver 3 yards in front of him. Too predictable.
And where has Willie been this year. Our more reliable receiver (in terms of coming down with catches) can't even get the ball thrown in his area code this year.

The linebacker was in the hole that we didnt expect to be there. Jerome saw [him] at the last second and he tried to protect his body and protect himself, because the guy popped up at the last second. It was a bang-bang play. Hindsight being 20-20, youd like for him to turn the other way and not protect himself and turn the ball right into the guy or at least make a move on him.
OK, technique wise I'm sure Shane is right. BUT, I watched that play over and over, Jerome was not prepared for this game. He was carrying that ball like a loaf of bread really low (near his hip) with one hand. With the amount of players around him at the LOS he should of had the ball high with two hands on it and with his pads low - result: no fumble. Bummer we burned his redshirt - as others have said ad nauseum here on TKP.

Can you blame him? For the past 2 weeks, all they've been hearing is from the fans telling them either how to do their job or how they should be fired. People have been spewing insulting comments at them personally and the players that they care about. Considering the coaches often see the team as a family and the players as their children, I'd be defensive too if someone came after my child. Shane spoke two quotes that are the reality of what coaches in the business have come to expect from the fans.
"Thats college football. When you lose, you suck. When you win, youre great."
"But nobody in this program is sitting around saying, Oh my god. Things are so bad right now. Were 4-4 and weve got a bunch of fighters and Im excited to watch us play on Saturday"
They aren't tossing in the towel and they won't go down without a fight.
