Six Pick: Week Eleven

You know why ESPN may have SEC bias, because maybe they'd rather enjoy Gameday in Baton Rouge to East Lansing? In all seriousness, this contest, the Nebraska - MSU and possibly the B1G Ten CG are the only must see games for the conference all year. Don't believe me, tell me another. Don't laugh too much, the ACC isn't much better.

Pretty tight B1G collectible game though.

I don't get too worked up about rangkings, I'll wait until December 6th to give you my hottakes, but this weekend will narrow the scope since a lot of the teams in the conversation are in action vs each other.

Week 12 Games:

Saturday, November 8th
Baylor at Oklahoma -5.5
12:00 pm FS1

• Going into the season this was the game the B12 was pointing to as their bell cow game ... right day, wrong game
• I just watched ESPN 30 for 30, "Brian and the Boz" and Christ almighty this soft OU team could use a few roided up jerks to make them whole again

Pick: OU by a touchdown, but I sure as hell don't feel good about it.

Notre Dame at Arizona St -2.5
3:30 pm ABC

• ASU could end up being ND's 2nd best win of the season behind the close loss to the Noles. Yup, not a playoff team
• ASU, is coached by the lying, backstabbing Todd Graham, I hope the Irish run it run it right up their asses ... wait, he coaching against Brian Kelly. Damn-it, Todd's the good guy

Pick: Sun Devils by a fg, squeaking out the cover in a shootout.

Kansas State at TCU -5.5
7:30 pm FOX

I have a horned frog right now

• The Gary Patterson and Bill Snyder midfield talks are 110% about old men being angry at shit all around them, right? Sounds amazing, wonder if I can join in
• If either of these teams only lose one game in a very competitive, true round robin B12, that's a nice feat and worthy of top 4 status

Pick: K-State getting the points by ugly-ing it up.

Football is better when Miles and LSU are good

• The Tide No. 5 in this week's CFB Playoff committee's poll and they have 0 wins vs the current top 25. Hell even VT has one
• Don't look now but the Bayou Bengals might be back. They lack a decent QB, but have 4 power running backs and an attacking, maturing defense ... SOP in Baton Rouge

Pick: LSU getting the points ... a dog at Death Valley at night, Les Miles lives for this.

Ohio State at Michigan State -3.5
8:00 pm ABC

Urban ... Get Off My DAMNED Lawn

• Every fan nationwide who hates Ohio State and Urban Meyer should send a $10 donation to the VT Athletic Fund in the name of BCO with a card that says Thank you. Even if OSU wins, hard to see them getting in
• No need to hide it ... Go Sparty, I want MSU (and KState) to old man their way to the playoffs, but they need to win out and a lot of help

Pick: Sparty by a metric shit ton.

Oregon -8.5 at Utah
10:00 pm ESPN

• I am not ready to concede I was wrong about Coach Helfrich, yet. However, I have researched the best side dish to go with the plate of crow if things play out in the Ducks' favor
• An Utes win would mean they played out of their minds, the crowd carries them and Oregon had a let down ... we'll know by the end of the 1st, if it's possible

Pick: Oregon by a couple of scores, Utah is a little too banged up, but I acknowledge this is prime let down spot for the Ducks.

Beer of the Week:

Allagash Nancy

Sour red ale fermented with Maine cherries and Brettanomyces aged for just shy of a year. Nancy has an aroma of cherries, bread crust and a touch of cinnamon. The flavor is a medley of tart cherry, citrus and pie spice. The finish is dry with a lingering tartness.
