the woman hopping at the 2:15 mark is how I instinctively react when I see the Hokie Bird from a distance, and the closer I get my hopping gets more and more frantic.

I sure hope we can get some good crowds this season. We had some games on TV that looked like High School girls JV games based on the crowd. I'm sure the product on the court improving will help as well.

That's because we had an AD who didn't care a single bit about basketball, and a coach who was not competent to coach in the ACC. Now we have an AD who actually understands 21st century collegiate athletics and a coach who is among the elite in the nation. it's actually quite amazing.

I am not making any accusations of hoarding turkey legs, but I noticed some inconsistency with being able to leg posts. Joe's post here has a spot to leg, but joelestra, resident numbers wiz, had no legging option. Is this something that the poster must add?

that better be some 552-FAST up in that box or i'd spike that crap like Mutombo on an 8 year old trying to make a layup. don't bring that gumby's crap 'round here! #teampks

We've really got some good options. I personally prefer PK's, but Benny's is good. They don't deliver but the newly added Mellow Mushroom is just fantastic. 60 beers on tap too!
I also have a soft spot for the generally unpopular Firehouse pizza. I'm not sure why.

Anytime I find myself at the Cellar, I find it hard to pass up a calzone. I might have had their actual pizza like once ever. But I do remember it being pretty good as well.

i did not know this. don't get me wrong, i'd drunkenly crush some pokie sticks if they presented themselves but PKs was the heat. large pepperoni and a 6 (read: 12) pack of budweiser on just about every sunday night was the magic ticket.

Thank you, Whit Babcock! Thank you for being a contemporary AD. Thank you for understanding just how far small gestures travel. (Sugar cookies, anyone?) Thank you for engaging your coaching staff with your fan base. Thank you for understanding.

Not only is Buzz delivering but so is HokiesXtra. From behind the scenes to fan outreach to the new Horse on a Treadmill video they've been helping fans connect with VT sports like never before. Whit revamped the department and they're making some quality material.

The dude at the 1:27/1:28 mark looks like he wants to do dirty, dirty things to the Hokie bird.
Also, Buzz plays the piano? What can't the man do?
Grow a full head of hair? Maybe.
Too much sexy. No room for hair.
This is awesome! I think we are really going to like Buzz you guys!
Buzz tickling the ivories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to post this exactly!! season tix and a serenade!
I didn't know Buzz could play the Piano!

This is fantastic
If we beat West Virginia let's roll out a piano to center court so Buzz can do a song AND dance

JV girls basketball at Floyd County High School sells out....

Well dangit! how am I supposed to show my appreciation for all the good work?!
$$$
So Buzz plays the piano, but can he play yazz flute?
"Jazz flute is for little sissy boys!"
I CHALLENGE BUZZ WILLIAMS TO A PIANO BATTLE.
Here's to hoping jsketch doesn't describe this with a gif.

Well Gumby's is unfortunately dead now.
benny marzano's anyone?

PKs or the Cellar? Both solid choices. Buffalo chicken pizza at PKs is great though!

"Un"fortunately?
My wife and I still have debates to this day about Gumby's. She loved it, I hated it.

I knew I had recognized Dennis Wolff from somewhere...

They are indeed doing a great job. They're providing insight into the beginning of Buzz's era.
A man delivering a pizza out of the blue with someone in a costume? whew.... that could have gone a completely different direction
