Erick Green plays well in first NBA game

Apparently Erick Green played in the Nuggets vs. Cavs game that was on tv last night due to a Ty Lawson injury. He played 9 minutes and is the current NBA leader in career shooting percentage with 6 points on 3/3 shooting(had to say it). Also had an assist, and a rebound. No turn overs. Did anyone happen to watch the game and see him play?

He looked sharp considering the circumstance he was brought in under. Not surprised he was ready to play since he was always known as a hard worker in practice. He looked confident.

Sounds great, he has always been one of my favorite Hokies. It is a shame he never played with better talent, wish Buzz had been his coach!

Glad to see him getting some PT. Hope it keeps increasing as the season progresses

I never thought his offense was a problem, how was his defense? That's what kept him off the roster last year if i remember correctly.

I watched him play, he played pretty solidly (word?). Was matched up on Kyrie Irving a bunch of times and couldn't really do much defensively. I think he forced a turnover with some help defense at one point which was pretty nice.

He didn't have a turnover, but there was one fast break where he tried to make too many passes and ended up getting the ball knocked out by the Cavs, so no turnover but not necessarily a good play.

One of his jump shots was absolutely gorgeous. One-on-one iso play with Irving guarding him and he just pulled up and knocked down about a 20 foot jumper with Irving's hand right in his face. In typical Erick Green, that ball didn't even touch the rim as it went it. He looked really small compared to the other players on the court, so the only way he'll get steady playing minutes is to keep shooting the way he did last night.

Yea I was watching the late game (admittedly, to see how the new golden kids of the NBA fared) and agree with all points mentioned. It was a nice bonus to hear them announce that he checked in.

I was thinking the same thing. I always knew he was the not prototypical size, but he looked like a high-schooler compared to others. Though that gives me more reason to root for him. (minus the O&M shades) My favorite players seem to be those who have the odds against them in that regard. Can't measure heart and determination IMO.
