Virginia Tech can't lose today, and there are a bunch of great games on; win-win. But wait, there's more! I have a proposition. Correctly predict the 6-team parlay below to win a 2-Pack of The Key Play 16 oz. Pint Glasses.
A few rules:
- Pick against the spread;
- Must be over 18;
- Must be a registered TKPer prior to today;
- Include a tiebreaker—total score of Oklahoma–Baylor;
- Picks are first come, first serve. In other words, there'll be 0 or 1 winners, and each entry, including the tie breaker must be unique. If you duplicate someone else' existing picks, you lose.
- One entry per person;
- Do not, for any reason, edit your comment/picks. The database stores both a comment created date and last edit date. If those two aren't equal, you're disqualified;
- Picks must be in before 12:00 EST;
- If you think you got all six picks correct, email me joe thekeyplay [dot] com, and I'll verify the claim.
If you'd like to guarantee having a pair of pint glasses, great news, you can buy them here and that would really help TKP out.

If no one wins, we'll do this again down the road.
Good luck to the contestants. As a proud pint glass owner, I can tell you from my extensive research that beer tastes 47% better when consumed out of a TKP pint glass.
It could be worse, we could be Iowa fans.
OR , NC State Ouch , homecoming!
Baylor pulling away from Oklahoma... aaaaand the Sooner fans, fans of what is likely a 9-win team, are booing...
So now that most of the noon games are in garbage time, anyone watching duke Syracuse? Saw the score that it's 10-10 going into the 4th.
Just turned it on and saw the pick by cuse on the duke 2.
Duke pulling away 20/ 10
I'm so pumped for the Bama LSU game tonight! Should be a great one in the real Death Valley tonight. Roll Tide
Texas A&M rolling early
Texas AM true FR QB looks unreal. So polished - does everything right.
Looks like Auburn's team of "destiny" lacks some "control"!
Texas AM!

SEC misery setting up nicely...
I think I like Fox Sports 1. The announcers were just sarcastically pointing out how tough Ole Miss and Miss State's OoC schedules are.
That kid Allen for AM is from Desert Mountainhere in Scottsdale. He is legit.
Spent my morning tailgating the ASU game, blowing the doors off ND.
Would love to see Oregon/ASU in the pac 12 game as a de facto playoff game and Auburn drop to start weeding out some of these SEC squads.
Just wondering, since we are officially eliminated from championship play, who are you guys cheering against in the edit: LOLUVA/FSU game? I know this is like asking which would you rather have, a root canal or a kidney stone
Always root against UVA. . . always.
^ This guy knows what's up. The way I see it, though, it's a win-win. Either we have Boo Hoos or sad Jameis. With the level of corruption at FSU right now, I'd be thrilled to see them get taken down, but it's in my blood to want the Hoos to lose.
Today we are all Longhorns.
Nice, I hadn't seen that score yet!
I don't have a handle on these new high octane SEC offenses. Auburn feels a lot like Georgia Tech except they put 50 per game. TA&M looks great and they at least have a legit excuse on defense, playing like 27 true freshmen on defense. It is fun to watch, I will give them that.
The thing with SEC defenses is that as they built their reputation on defense, yes, they had very talented athletes all over the field, but let's face it, SEC offenses have been absolutely terrible until about 2008. Can anyone name a big-time QB that came out of the SEC in recent memory?
So a big part of this is SEC defenses just aren't built to stop anyone not running straight at them, but now there are actually some decent QB's and interesting systems being run by SEC offenses.
Cam Newton?
I meant before 2009 or so. Pretty much before the SEC started playing offense.
Brodie Croyle?
Case in point: who?
The Manning brothers
I think you are right, but shouldn't the defenses catch back up faster than this? They have freaky athletes everywhere.
Say it with me kids: LOLUVA
Prediction: UVA will have more turnovers that Mike London will have correctly used timeouts.
Of course. I will also set over under at 4 missed key plays while throwing a temper tantrum with ref.
Yoda's thoughts on Mike London ....

UVA was up 13-7 on FSU then I turned it on. I think I'll stay tuned in.
Alabama @ LSU: THAT'S A CATCH
I need more TVs
TAMU pulled it off! Big knock to the SEC playoff picture! Let's hope ole miss takes down miss st and the playoff committee puts an undefeated Marshall team in over all the 1 loss SEC teams
wow. Anyone see that easy TD by Utah that was "dropped" right before running into the end zone, then Oregon picked it up and returned it for 99 yards? WOW. That might be worse than the butt-fumble "Not Top 10"-wise, especially if Utah loses. 14 point swing right there.
Yep. Unbelievable.
I believe this clip will sum up all of College Football this week.... WOW Utah
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=11844727
Just curious, does anyone else think OSU might have a QB controversy when Miller comes back?
No, I think Barrett will be the starter with no controversy. Miller will be a wildcat/change of pace.
I'm not so sure. A few weeks ago Meyer went on the record saying, in no uncertain terms, that Braxton Miller would be the starter when he came back. I think it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
Maybe we should extend an offer…?
Maybe he leaves and then the staff convinces him to transfer to VT and he gets his shot at his former team on National TV in primetime. Once can dream.
Funny how people are saying Braxton won't win the starting job back now. Seems like just yesterday we only beat them because he was hurt.
LSU choke job just cost me the TKP pint glasses by .5 points...

On a side note, I found myself, for probably the first time in a very long time, rooting for Ohio State. I was so hyped about their win I almost bailed out of the car and yelled, "Go BUCKEYES!!"
As far as some other games were concerned, the Auburn and Notre Dame games were really exciting, both teams down by 17 or so points and came back to make them one possession games.
I love how TJ Yeldon runs. Kid is slick. Trevone Boykin is my Heisman frontrunner. If someone told me to pick three offensive players to start my team with it would be Boykin, Duke Johnson, and Christion Jones.
Top four should look like Miss St / FSU / TCU with a debate between Oregon and Ohio State for the last spot. If Alabama wins out, they'll definitely take Mississippi State's spot. Tragically, Oregon has the better loss between them and OSU. After all the hand wringing about three SEC teams getting into the playoffs, this list has at least one of the top two teams from each conference.
Ok so now I think it's legit to start talking about playoff hopefuls, even though one of my front runners (Alabama) still has a lot left to prove.
And thank goodness for both FSU and Texas victories against the Cousins and the Carrutherses this weekend.
I'm kinda rooting for the buckeyes too. Would let us say we beat the national champs. That can't hurt recruiting
I've always hated the Buckeyes, but they were so nice at the game that I pull for them a little bit now.
Anybody else worried tOSU wins out, misses the playoffs because of their loss to us, then dwells on how important the game with VT is all summer?
I think they'll be out for revenge either way.
Anybody remember the movie "3 o'clock High"?

Jerry has to fight brass knuckle toting Buddy Revel at 3 O'Clock, and is tormented thinking about it, staring at the clock all day.
Pretty sure the little guy ended up winning somehow.
Yeah...pretty sure...
Wow. That LSU/Bama game again was a bruiser and came down to the wire. Seems like they are almost always very close and entertaining.
And more often than not involve pretty terrible QB play....
Entertaining?
Agreed. I switched to Oregon-Utah after watching the first half punting competition between LSU-bama. I don't like watching either team play, and the CBS announcers are better with mute
Agreed. The Bammer-LSU game was a snoozer for the most part. Oregon is always a good watch, because the pace is elevated and the action keeps flowing. aTm & Auburn was a great game to watch, too. Seeing a little bit of the LSU game, I was reminded of how horrible their much mentioned game against the Tide was a few years ago. It's like baseball purists talking about how exciting a 3.5 hour 1-0 pitcher's duel is - it just doesn't entertain any more.
Did I win?!?
Edit- knew I missed something:
Don't think I want any part of this:

Oh boy. Saw the rumors from the summer, but not sure I understand the photo in November.
No idea where to post this, so I figured this would work, but Boykin just blocked a punt for the Packers! Actually kicked it before the punter did
