I'm hearing that a coach at cape henry collegiate, where chris clarke attends will be added to buzz williams staff at tech. Is anybody else hearing that because if so that's big, as far as boo williams and that area goes.

It seems highly unlikely a new assistant would be added the week play begins during a season, when there is no vacancy. It also seems highly unlikely Buzz would not have already addressed hiring a new coach since he just began the job this spring.
What seems extremely likely is an internet rumor began that would try to 'explain' why Clarke flipped his commitment from UTenn to VT.
I think that it is likely that he eventually joins the staff, just not sure when. Possibly after the season.
Seems like it is going to happen eventually, but probably not right now.

If this happens to be true, and it does end up occurring, then I don't want to hear anyone criticize other schools for creating jobs for AAU coaches or parents of recruits they happen to land. I'm not saying whether or not I agree or disagree with the move, I'm just sayin, if this is happening, we're no different than anyone else.
Well I'm defense of this move, should it happen, Mark Hall would be a hell of a get with the relationships he has with Boo Williams and in the Richmond area. Not to mention he's a pretty solid coach and could become a quality assistant.
Since nobody has provided any proof to any of the rumors with anything more than a question if the rumor about the unnamed source was true, I did a quick check. Ethan Walker, an assistant coach for BB at Cape Henry posted a tweet several days ago. That tweet could be interpreted as the source for a rumor, if one were eager to do so. It could also be just as easily interpreted as an assistant HS basketball coach excited for his players to attend an ACC school. Or anything in between. I'll only believe the rumor when it is proven accurate. In the mean time, I'll believe an assistant HS coach is not making an immediate leap to the ACC level.
All good points and I totally agree. Like I said I was just curious if anyone knew if that was true or not, certainly wasn't trying to spread a rumor.
I wasn't intimating that you were, just trying to explain in general. I saw your question as being innocent and one of general interest. Rumors always get started some way, and I merely explained one way this one got started. Regardless, it is really refreshing and different to be eager to see basketball season starting, isn't it?
