I am so glad the Tosh.o ESPN rant is a thing right now. Finally someone calls out ESPN on a portion of their bullcrap. The only thing that would have made this better for me is if he would have also called out the giraffe for her ignorance. Sorry for the hate and or negativity. Much love to everyone and GO HOKIES!!!

I like the beginning where he admits certain shows have legitimate gripes against him for stealing their concepts, but then goes on to gripe about ESPN stealing his.
I know. It is very hypocritical of him but at least he makes fun of ESPN
Its funny, because its true.
You can't really copyright/steal a format though, otherwise every reality show in the world would be sued by Real World.
Having a clip show isn't so much "stealing" a concept, he just happened to be the first one to start doing it specifically about internet/viral videos. And he certainly brings his own unique style and humor to it, whereas ESPN ripped it off about as blatently as you possibly can rip something off. Read a great piece that breaks down the ESPN video, right down to the guy they hired to interview the singer using the EXACT SAME "catch phrase" that Tosh uses in his web redemption videos.
For the record, I am not a fan of Tosh, but he nailed it on his rebuttal.
Tosh can be a complete asshole, but that's his thing. Its not for everyone, that's for sure, but that's just who he is. (as an aside the people that really crack me up are the ones who watch his show or go to his standup and then wail endlessly about being offended.... Yeah, he's an asshole, if you watch long enough eventually you're going to get offended by something)
But he absolutely nailed this piece. ESPN flat out stole his entire schtick with their segment and they rightfully needed to be called out on it. Its not just that they had a guy standing in front of a green screen showing funny clips... Tosh completely got that from AFV, but to actually rip off an entire segment down to the catchphrase at the very end is just low. Very low.

I liked the Sports Science portion of it because those stupid pointless stats and measurements they throw out are wack

I had never noticed this before. Not that I watch enough Tosh to actually notice much of anything beyond how much I dislike his show. But now....geez, as if I needed more reasons to dislike them both....
If I ever run across Lane Kiffin, I will ask for his autograph. Then I will look at it and say "Hey, you're not Daniel Tosh!" I will then proceed to throw the autograph in the trash.
You should rip it up and burn it right in his face.
I watched this live and my roommate and I just looked at each other mouths agape. One of the greatest rant/skits I have ever seen and it started trending immediately haha go Daniel tosh
I think Tosh is a foolhardy trashbag but this was genuinely good. He should do more stuff against other networks, less making fun of internet videos.
