Been feeling optimistic for this game since last week. I don't know why. Didn't have a good feeling about Pitt, Miami or bc. And when the Pitt blogger stated that Pitt was on a three game slide and didn't see them drop 4 and they were due for a win I had reservations about that game. I feel the same way for us. We are on a three game slide but don't see us dropping 4 straight. Feel like we'll have a good day today.

I know a lot of people want to see Bud for HC, but I have an unpopular opinion here: our defense has consistently looked uninterested and undisciplined. How many times are we going to lose contain on a mobile QB? How many times are we going to crash in on an option play? Has Bud given up on this season as well?
does Bud/coaching staff know something we don't? Do they all have a gut feeling that Whit is going to scrap everything and start fresh? It certainly looks that way to me.
Bonner forgot how to play football during October, pretty sure the pitch man is either his or jarretts responsibility in lots of these running plays?

This is kind of a disconnect between the coaches and players during games I presume. Beamer or some coach should be grabbing guys, DiNardo in this instance, and telling them explicitly what to do or not to do. In this case, "DiNardo make sure the ball is punted. No fake!"
Did Tech call a timeout before the punt? if so, what communication issue could it have been. The ST coach looks at the punt team and says its 4 and 18, punt the dang ball.

Before this season most of the rational folks on this board were predicting 8 to 9 wins with 10 being a possibility. We can still get 8 and that must be this teams goal. We're capable of it, no doubt.
What would we have predicted if we knew what we know now about how many very young players would be thrust into the starting lineup?
If we could predicted this, I would say we would all be MILLIONAIRES because we could have predicted the stock market, the market value of oil ad everything else.
To heck with stock and such, I'd just play Mega Millions.
This has certainly been an unconventional season, but the broad predictions can certainly still come true. Today was great at times, ugly at others, but that's sort of a microcosm of the year. Ups and downs. Let's just hope to end on the upswing.

During todays EPIC game I stayed away from TKP game thread and we won...... I REALLY FUCKING HOPE! that it was just a coincidence.
With Juice apparently being done, maybe getting Motley more involved in the offense and doing a rotating system between him and Brewer might be a good thing. Bring Motley in and re-introduce some options elements into the offense between him and JCC (I personally think he'd be better suited to this kind of offense). Also, during the broadcast the announcers talked about how Bud said his D wasn't playing for 60 mins this year...and they didn't based off of Duke first 2 offensive series. HOWEVER that Deon Clarke INT really turned it around it seemed and they played their tails off the reminder of the game. There were mistakes for sure but I did really like how the D didn't fold (and got some luck) when it mattered. Feels good to be back in the win column!
