The uniforms for this game was purchased last year.The decision is already made.

So my 10 year HS class reunion is scheduled for the same time at a bar. I am from Dayton, OH. Lots of my classmates went to OSU. I guess they will be reminded of the one guy who went to Virginia Tech (in case they forgot from Sept) as I am posted up by the TV rather than mingling. Oh shucks... (sarc)

Be loud for me, guys. Travel to/from CA just got too crazy and too expensive to try and make it work getting back for the game after Thanksgiving. Now, how to explain to my grandma why I'm yelling at the TV for half the game....
SERIOUSLY!! I used to be able to fly from San Diego to Roanoke for around $400... I just bought my ticket to come home for the holidays and it was over $700!!! Redonk!
I ran into the same problem trying to get a flight to Orlando that week. The week before and after Thanksgiving flights are $100 +/- $20 depending on time/day. However all Thanksgiving week they're $500+. I was tempted to take a couple extra days off and just chill on the beach if it wasn't winter time.

Roanoke to San Jose and back cost me (and my parents) about $1200. If I were to try to come back for the game, it'd be an extra $200 and I'd have to leave my grandma's place at about 6:30 or 7, to get into Roanoke by about 5. Said grandma is no spring chicken and if a single thing goes wrong, I'm missing the game anyways. Figured it'd be better to spend the weekend with family and just catch the game on TV. Still might paint up anyways.

Tickets are still available from hokietickets.com and are plentiful on StubHub. I am looking forward to taking my nephew to his first VT (and college football) game. Going to be a great time. I may even hide the turkey legs from the day before and throw them on the grill for this one!!!

While all season Tech fans on every platform have complained about noon games we get a late primetime prime channel game and RTD, Andy Bitters article and facebook are full of people complaining it's too late! Yeah, but it's not a late November night game against Miami where they bring the 70 degree weather and such with them, like a couple times when I was at VT. It's a late November UVA game, where it will probably be breezy, but clear and chilly. I can't think of a WARM UVA game I've been to.
53 in 2006 was pretty nice. Warmer in the sun.
