Six Pick: Week Thirteen

The struggle is real this week in finding the top 6 games. Mediocrity and parity have stripped away the great programs. I spent 30 mins writing hot takes about each conference/division, when I realized, I don't know who the hell is good outside of three or four teams.

Rivalry week is next weekend and Championship games the week after, so that means all the best SEC teams are playing creampuffs or have a bye. If you have some honeydo things to take care of, or a needy spouse, do it this weekend.

Of note ESPN Gameday proudly not giving the Pac12 any rub, even if they are broadcasting the game, by going to "The Game."

Week 13 Games
Thursday, November 20th

Kansas State at West Virginia -2.5
7:00 pm FS1

• A Thursday night game on national TV vs a well respected head coach and program, what could go wrong ... for any Wildcat fan in attendance
• Dana Holgorsen and Bill Snyder's pregame midfield meeting is probably 5 minutes of awkward silence, sorta like many Thanksgiving family dinners

Pick: wvu. I feel dirty, but at home with empties tossed at the K-State team, it's going to be a madhouse.

Saturday, November 22nd

Minnesota at Nebraska -10.5
12:00 am ESPN

Does one go to a bar after a game still painted up?

• The Gophers hung with Ohio State last week, they aren't trash and if Nebraska takes them lightly at all, Bo is going to need to adopt a bunch of cats
• Wisky looks to be the play in the B1G Ten West, but this year, one can't assume anything. Winner here is still breathing down the Badgers neck

Pick: Minnesota getting the points, a backdoor cover to cut it to 10 late.

Arizona at Utah -4.5
3:30 pm ESPN

• According to sources, DickRod isn't a candidate at Florida, Gator fans should high five. Can you imagine running the 3-3-5 Stack defense with legit NFL talent. Clown
• One year I hope Utah wins the Pac12 South, mostly because I dont like any of the other teams or coaches that much and itd be a nice middle finger to the blue bloods

Pick: Arizona getting points in a close game. Just not sure Utah has enough on O.

Wisconsin -9.5 at Iowa
3:30 pm ABC/ESPN2

This is one of four Iowa rivalry game trophies, they are missing a chicken trophy for the 3 meats win

• Iowa is the quietest 7-3 in the nation ... /checks schedule Pitt is their best win and Iowa State is their worst loss ... butts
• Convential wisdom says the Badgers beat the shit out of Iowa, that's almost a guarantee it won't happen, right?

Pick: Wisky is on a roll, they handle Iowa, easily.

Louisville at Notre Dame -3.5
3:30 pm NBC

• Louisville just lost their QB for the year and now will be starting a true freshman. That's enough for Petrino to go look for another job.
• Do the coaches film show the sidelines? If so, how can I get my hands on it, I want to see Brian Kelly's face when Northwestern beat Notre Dame

Pick: Notre Dame to bounce back and cover, or face gassers until Lent.

USC at UCLA -3.5
8:00 pm ABC

Don't overthink it UCLA and Adidas, wear your traditional powder blue unis for this game

• Needless to say this season has been a mild disappointment for both teams, but this game is big time, it's the Battle of Los Angeles and the Pac12 South
• Its a lot harder to HATE ON USC when they aren't dominating, but winning the South would be a big step to bringing the haters back ... or rehiring Lane Kiffin

Pick: USC getting the points, it's a coin flip game to me, so I'm taking the team getting points.

Terrapin Wake-n-Bake Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout

This is Terrapin's best beer and I know this is the minority opinion, but I think this is every bit as tasty as Founder's Breakfast Stout. If you like coffee stouts and haven't tried this ... DO!
