All-American Games

How did our commits stack up against top competition in the major all star games over the last couple of days? I didn't get to see any of them and was looking to see how Fuller, Fisher, and Teller did. Any insight/observations would be appreciated.
I did hear Kendall Fuller was named Defensive Player of the Year by Rivals which is quite an impressive feat.

"The East defeated the West with the help of a stingy defensive effort. The West had only allowed 90 yards of total offense. Credit goes to players such as Muhammad, USC commit Kenny Bigelow (Elkton, Md./Eastern Christian) and defensive backs in Virginia Tech commit Kendall Fuller (Olney, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) and Georgia commit Tray Matthews (Newnan, Ga./Newnan)"

I think Kendall is going to be a beast for us, I can't wait too see him on the field

tyrod did it mikey! tyrod did it!

I watched the second half of the game

From what I saw, they threw at Kendall maybe a maximum of 3 times in the entire half. Two were broken up, and one was called for pass intereference when he just got tangled up. He was shutting them down. (one of his breakups was also almost picked)

Logan 3:16

4th Fuller

Yea he did a great job. His cover skills are so impressive - I'm pretty sure he'll be on an island for most of his Hokie career. I will say this though: Bud/Torian will have to learn him a thing or two about zone coverage - The west team scored in a zone that he was supposed to be in. Looked to me that he just rode the first person in his zone for too long which opened it up for the second guy that came in and scored.

Anyway, guess that's to be expected when he probably only played man in HS because he was so much better than everybody else. It doesn't worry me though, just saying he's not perfect, YET.

Fuller and Teller got props from Rivals.com analyst Mike Farrell in his Army week awards: http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1456887.

The Snuggie

Kendall Fuller, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel This is for the player who provided the best coverage on defense during the week, and there is no tougher decision to make here with so many amazing defensive backs in San Antonio. Fuller had the only two credited pass breakups in the game, the best interception of the week and he was simply very consistent in coverage overall

Lunch pail

Wyatt Teller, Liberty (Va.) Bealton

What's the difference between Hard Hat and Lunch Pail? The Hard Hat Award is for the biggest hitter, while the Lunch Pail Award is for the guy who does the dirty work that doesn't get into the boxscore or noticed by many. Teller is one of many players who had a great week in practice, was solid in the game playing his role but was overshadowed a bit.

Love that Teller

won the lunch pail. Won't mind him toting ours for a few years, in a few years.

These guys are a blessing

I am stoked about these guys joining next season. I of course am excited about Fuller but I am equally excited about Teller.

High motor

Hopefully the way these two play, rubs off on the other players.
