Be prepared if you go to put out the couch fires and shield yourself from the horrors of alcohol /s

Yes, all 8 WF fans are gonna be getting pretty rowdy. Be careful out there, folks.

I'm going in a group of about 15-18 people, and I think we're going to outnumber that entire side of the stadium.

The only couch fire I can imagine would be some Kernersville resident falling asleep with a lit cigarette in his double-wide.

Call me crazy but Demon Deacs do not inspire couch-burning fear as much as mountaineers do...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:

Fortunately, Deacon fans aren't inbred like so many WVU fans. Thus no need for the strawman equation about alcohol sales equaling couch fires and attacks on visiting fans like repeatedly occurs at WVU. It's typically only when you make alcohol easily available to idiots that there are problems.

You must have had an absolutely horrifying experience at a wvu game for the amount of hate you have for them

From what I understand, if you've been to a game in Morgantown as a visiting fan, if you haven't had a bad experience, you're in the minority

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

Or been in Lane as the home team with WVU visiting in the mid 90's and didn't have a bad experience, you're in the minority.

To be fair (speaking as a born and raised WVian), I have tons of friends that go/went there who say that there is a growing contingent of fans who refuse to tolerate the stereotypical WVU fan behavior and are actually trying to change the mindset of that place.

Granted, they still have that minority that can't grow up.

VT Class of '12 (MSE), MVBone, Go Hokies!

Good luck with that. But I am not sure I ever want to go back. Two times there was enough for my lifetime as things are.

Don't take it so personally. I didn't say people from WVa, I said WVU fans. There's a difference, as you have pointed out to me repeatedly whenever I mention how horribly many in their fan base act. Don't blame me because what they do causes some WVa people embarrassment. Blame the people acting like idiots, not those who say - 'Hey they're acting like idiots!'

I haven't been to wvu gameday since 97, and I was eight, so I've only heard stories. I actually just want to know your story with those assholes

No, you just want to be angry because I said something negative about WVU fans. I, and many others, have relayed incidents on here about the many, many WVU idiot fans and their actions. You'll have to suffice with those, while knowing the WVU fan reputation for being ridiculously idiotic is nationwide.

Fair enough, point noted. Thicker skin is required and Ill get off your case from now on. I too hate wvu, mostly for the image they give WV

Now to add to the discussion:
What does Wake bring to the ACC?
Looking at their standings on theacc.com, in 2013 they finished in the bottom half for all but one sport - mens soccer. Why would a conference looking to be included in the discussion for power want such a weak athletic member?
They don't bring any significant viewership not covered by the other NC schools, they have a largely apathetic fan base, they're straight embarrassing in football and largely irrelevant in mens basketball.
At what point does the ACC consider pulling a Big East/Temple and force them to pull their own weight or hit the road?

I am making the trek up from Charlotte. This is glorious news.

If anyone sees a handsome, liquored up gentleman in a Kendall Fuller jersey, please come high five me and give me a spirited LET'S GO

Just so you know, it's only sold in their Top Hat Tavern, you're limited to 3 drinks, and you must drink it within the Tavern area, not back at your seat.

Way to be a debbie down x3 ;)

is that 3 drinks total? or per trip to the tavern?

because that sounds like a "go chug 3 drinks every quarter" type situation to me.

Every second counts

When it opened, the article talking about it said you're limited to 3 drinks. I would assume it meant per game, but I don't really know.

Challenge accepted.
