Did anyone really expect any players or coaches to say "we were just coached really poorly against wake. Bad decisions and lack of adjustments. The players just weren't put in a position to succeed?" Nope. Instead they harp on execution. "Come on, Rogers, block two men blitzing. Come on, defense, this loss was on you. All we needed was one little pick six, but could you deliver? No. So disappointing"

Nice to hear the players had their own meeting. Don't know how many times it's happened this year if at all but they need some leadership on that team and I'm not sure who it is at the moment, at least on offense.

Also liked that at least SS said there was nothing he liked about the play of the OL on Saturday. He didn't give the "Well we missed a block here and there but credit WF.....blah blah blah" Pretty much said "we sucked".

Shane seemed to bring up the play-calling a little but then went to talk about execution. Hopefully someone else is talking play-calling a little more. As in....why was Motely pulled after he moved the team down to the Wake 30? And...if we were running fairly well in the game why didn't we run some more, especially after JC's big run that he almost broke for 6? I believe we threw three passes after that??

I'm not one to call for coaches heads and such especially after only a short time and not having "his" players in "his" system. And since I'm not an expert on football (at least to the degree where I can get paid to comment or coach it) I usually give coaches the benefit of the doubt for the most part. But if we aren't very successful next year I think it's time for CSL to go. I don't think Beamer leaves till after 2016. Only way he stays after that is if we are a legitimate contedner for the National Championship coming into that season.

We ran the exact same play back-to-back plays at one point in the game -- the exact same run play," he said. "And one time, one guy blocked the right guy. The next time, the same guy on the exact same guy blocked the wrong guy. I cant understand that.

That kind of sums up our year on the OL

Wait, how is getting on a treadmill 3 days before game day going to help his conditioning? I say he pays sparklingly because of his conditioning! I hope I'm wrong and he runs for a carreer high 300 yards!!!

Little Beams is trying to throw London off the scent. Trey is "out of shape" so don't prepare for him to play a lot, wink wink. At least that's what I hope.

Also, let me ask this one question: I don't have an answer, but what school in div 1A football has had the experience of injuries to key players that Tech has had? Who? Here's a list:
-Shyrone Stith (2000 NC)
-MV7 (2000 season)
-Andre Davis (2000 season)
-Lee Suggs (2002 season)
-Mike Imoh (2004 and 2005 season)
-Brandon Flowers (2006 Chic-Fil-A bowl)
-Darren Evans (2009 season)
-RMFW (part of 2010 season)
-Ryan Mallek (2013 season) and now strings 1-3 TBs. Oh, LT3 last season Sun Bowl.

Well the Miami team that wrecked us was down to like their 3rd-4th string QB before the season even started. These things happen to everyone, we just get more exposure to our own issues.
