Go to hokiesports.com and watch the past highlight of furrer leadin the hokies to a win against uva in old school lane in some OLD school unis... While I was watching the short clip I couldn't help but think we should wear those currently in the day and age. That maroon and orange combo is sick... I'd love to see the old school hokies in some old school colors... Just a thought

Nice. I'd like to see us go back to the simple solid maroon with orange numbers from the early 2000's. Maybe jazz it up with a little "swag" or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

I like the older KJ combo of unis or even the Marcus Vick era unis all were much sweeter than the ones we currently wear. However, I will glady trade ugly uniforms for a win over UVA anyday

It's a good uniform to wear against another team with orange in it.
Really differentiates the players.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

I don't like the orange pants or jerseys that seem to go with this current set.

I really hope we're getting a new redesign for next season.

Maybe I'm just a loser with no taste, but I think we have awesome uniforms now as is. They're a classic, clean look that can be flashy with cool pants and helmets, but nothing over the top. Seriously, not just saying this because I love the Hokies, but I actually think we have some of the coolest unis in college football today. I remember the Marshall? game however many years ago when they first wore the all white throwbacks and thought they were much cooler than the ones we were wearing at the time. So yeah, I just wish we wore the orange jerseys more, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority there.

Im fine with those uni's, but I am a little disappointed that there is no black uni's for this game

Same, especially after seeing much of the staff wearing black VT gear all season.

Edit: per VT FB Equipment: "...Currently do not have black in inventory."

That'd be awesome, but it was never going to be reality. We bought all the equipment for the year sometime after last season, before this game was announced as being on Black Friday, and certainly long before it was a night game. The blackout thing was a fan-driven pipe dream.

I agree; I thought it would have been fun to do. Just wishful thinking, but it certainly spawned some interesting uniform debates around here, if nothing else.
