If you want to know what's happening, or better put, not happening at The U, read this.

I wonder if Miami will ever rededicate itself to winning at football again?

No, they won't re-dedicate themselves to becoming elite once again, but that isn'[t their only problem. Their biggest problem is that everyone else knows about the talent in Florida and is able to offer everything Miami offers, except South Beach. Any college player or HS recruit that's been on South Beach knows they can't afford any of that, so Miami has nothing different.
The NCAA knows to check on Miami now, and just like SMU, they can't get the same guys they got in the old days. Like Boston College, they're cheap in paying their coaches & staff. They don't have an on-campus stadium, and their fan base is national more than local. Not quite as bad as Duke basketball, but in the same realm. Sure, Miami kids love to talk about 'The U', but they don't attend games.
The best that Miami will ever be again is - stop me if this sounds like so many other ACC programs - a school that goes for about 7-8 wins consistently, with an occasional 10-win season thrown in for good measure.
So in summary, da U is not Bak?

it is entertaining watching the U struggling year in and year out to be back to being "back" but I really do wish they would get back to being elite and constantly one of the top 10 schools in the nation. Would make our game against them more entertaining for the fans and beneficial to the school/football program.
